First time filling a prescription here , apparently I didn't read the hours right and they were closing at 6pm. We arrived in the drive thru at like 5:58 pm behind another car . They pulled us up and realized that the prescription sent said to have it filled tomorrow, instead of today . But she asked if I could come inside so we drove around and I went inside . Obviously they were closing , it was about 6:05 at this time but the pharmacist filled my prescription , I paid and off I went . Just want to say thanks so much as I had been feeling like crap for days and we live an hour from town ! Was able to take a pill and start feeling better and not waste gas to come back the next day ! I stopped in Rite Aide to pick up some medication for my scratchy throat and congestion. So I am here often and today my mom went ahead of me. Tim the cashier was checking the other cashier's orders like my mom is stealing. She's like 68 years old and a grandma. This guy is always so hateful and can't for the life of him hide his racism against blacks and latino customers. I have been in here several times and he acts so bitter towards my friends and family. You can just watch how he is with people that are like him versus people of other nationalities. He doesn't belong here in Alpine with this attitude. Walgreens and is very convenient right off l-8 in Alpine. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of. The store has an extensive beer and wine selection, in fact they have a a lot of beer and wine.The pharmacy is pretty convenient with a drive-through. Weekly beer and wine specials are common. All said, my opinion isthatthis particular Rite Aide is very convenient, clean, organized and well priced. read more

The other night we decided to get some ice cream at thrifty's. I was heading to thrifty's when my oldest decided to use the bathroom. There was a family ahead of us so we were waiting for my daughter to come back from the bathroom. My daughter was not back yet so I told them to go first. The mom of the family was disappointed because they ran out of the type of flavored ice cream she wanted but she wasnt being rude about it. So I checked to see if they had mine. Which they didnt. I complained but not in a rude way or towards the employee who was a middle aged, caucasian, overset lady with blonde hair I believed. So when she got done serving the family ahead of us. The employee asked us what we would like. I informed her that we are waiting for our daughter to come out the bathroom. She rolled her eyes, like if I wasnt annoyed already having to wait on my daughter myself. (My daughter is those type of ppl once they leave the house. All the sudden they have to use the bathroom. She hasnt learned yet to use the bathroom before we leave even though we tell her so many times.) I think its ridiculous that a woman that is around the same age of my mom or older will have the attitude like my 12 years old daughter and roll her eyes because she has to wait for my daughter also in order to serve us. Just because she probably had to stock or something. Its summer what do you expect? People want ice cream. It's part of your job. If your so annoyed by your job description. Maybe you shouldnt sign up for it. Or closed down the ice cream part because it seems like people are so annoyed to have to stop what their doing to just come serve customers. Like I get it. Lady, you've probably been thru a lot, but who hasnt? Dont take your miserable attitude to work. This place is a sh*thole! I understand cutbacks to save the business money but at least have the trash picked up that is all over the entrance & parking lot. It comes to show that this huge organization does not take pride in their stores. Not only is this Rite Aid a ghost town when you ask for help at the ice cream counter, the excuse is always we are short-staffed. Alpine is a nice place to live but when you come here you feel like you're in Mexico because of the filth. I would write to corporate but doubt they would do anything since there seems to be countless complaints about the very same issues I'm referring to here for years & nothing has been done. What a waste and what a shame for this Rite Aid in Alpine. The store supervisors don't seem to take pride in their duties and the title "supervisor" is obviously ignored. Curtis a regular worker was very kind and took the extra step to accommodate me and my wife at the ice cream counter. One of the managers who helped us last night at the ice cream counter neglected to clean the ice cream spots that were dropped and melted that were noticed a day ago! Who knows how long that mess has been accumulating. Curtis you are very nice and you have displayed your strong work ethic! Your just there to collect a pay check to support your drinking habits because your a failure in life! if I could give this place 0 stars, I would! I am not one to waste my precious time on incompetent people, but tonight while I wait for my pain meds I feel like giving Rite Aid PHARMACY a piece of my mind. So today my husband and I drop off my prescription a little before 1pm. The pharmacist said an hour for it to be ready... okay soooooooo 5 hrs later he went through the drive thru after work to pick them up for me (6PM) and of course my prescription was no where to be found - not even in the system. The pharmacist then asks who he dropped the prescription off too, he said "we dropped it off to you today and you told us an hour" so she then apologizes and says we will bump it up to the front of the line and we will call you when it's ready. 45 minutes later after not hearing from anyone we give them a call .... we were told it was ready for pick up ... ok THAT'S GREAT SO WHEN THE HELL WERE YOU GOING TO CALL US AND LET US KNOW ???? At this point my husband has the supervisor on the phone. Her response to his question of us not getting a phone call was "Oh there was no number written with the prescription" seriously??? here's an idea, get in the system and get my number hahahaha . I've only been going to you for 4+ years. Janet is who took our prescription and originally told us an hour. The supervisor is JemMa (something like that) This is not our first time experiencing issues at this pharmacy . This is just where i draw the line. As of tomorrow we will be new Walgreens customers :) BTW, RITE AID DON'T BOTHER WRITING YOUR SILLY RESPONSE TO CALL YOU IF I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER FURTHER. The right thing for you guys to do would be to investigate further, make the appropriate changes inside the store and follow up with the customer. I'm not wasting anymore time on you. read more

This store is great. During these hard times the staff is so helpfull. They do their best to keep things in stock for us customer's. When I was in today a customer forgot to put a mask on and the cashier was very nice and gave the man a mask so he could shop. The store looked very clean and organized. I know it's hard to keep things on the shelf that everyone is in need of these days. But I was able to make a list of things I need and will be able to get them on Tuesday when they get more product in. I think this is a great thing that this store offers to the customer's. I went in today because my son had a sore throat and asked the ladies at the pharmacy for help and suggestions. Stacie and another nice lady helped me out and gave me some great ideas to help give my 2 year old some comfort. They even walked around the store with me to help me locate and find the right things. Only came in for one thing but the cashier girl was extremely condescending and sarcastic. I used to live in this neighborhood before this store was even here. Please, don't give me the 'locals only attitude'. To me, it felt more like, 'wanna be small town attitude so please give me attention.' Well, here's your attention... Best liquor store in Alpine. Period. Apparently Rite Aid is some kind of pharmacy? I've never purchased drugs here, but their liquor is seriously the cheapest in town. I'm not sure why people would shop at a one-stop liquor store, since you can also score greeting cards, peanuts, half-price frozen pizza, toilet paper and nail polish here. Someone needs to say that the canned "Welcome to Rite Aid!" greeter (whose sole job is to say the aforementioned line) is absurd. No one wants to be "greeted" at a pharmacy. Or liquor store. We want to get in and out and be left alone. Leave us to our vices, will you? I'm not saying this to be a jerk, but there's no need to pretend we are all buddy-buddy. It's hackneyed and trite and just plain played out. You're a convenience store. Be convenient, and unobtrusive, and we'll all be happy. One star off because where's the goddamn aloe vera? Not the green one, but the no additive clear stuff, fresh off an aloe plant? The pharmacy staff here is fantastic. I transferred all my Rx's here from CVS, because one was filled one time here because CVS didn't have it. The Rite-Aid staff was so much friendlier and understandibg and cheerful, I transferred all my prescriptions and haven't gone anywhere else since. Thanks to everyone in the Pharmacy. I've been to this Rite-Aid a million times but today it was awful. There was a "guy" working the counter and I didn't see any of my regular ladies anywhere. This "guy" wouldn't put my items in my bag I brought so I sarcastically go "okay, I guess I'll put this stuff in my bag myself" and then he wouldn't give me my coupons. He looks at my receipt and handed me that but was going to throw away the coupons. Hello! Where's my regular ladies at? I am glad this guy is working BUT this is definitely not the right job for him. This location never has our prescriptions ready, and I've waited in line behind other customers that seem just as frustrated as I am. I'm at the counter now and all the pharmacy employees are scrambling. I'm afraid I'm going to end up taking home the wrong medications... and the guy Steve here is so rude. It's not my fault I've come back two days in a row and my meds still aren't ready. And forget about HIPPA, the pharmacy staff will just call out your meds from across the room and ask if those are the meds you're here to pick up while confirming your name and birthdate again and again. And the staff all seem to bicker with each other and it just seems like a really negative environment. I'm not coming back here again. read more

I found an employee in the back. Charles helped me get Clorox wipes and the holy grail "toilet paper." Very nice and thoughtful fellow and even asked if there was anything else I needed and if I needed any help at the front. I am older and need help with some things and direction in the store I guess but he even offered to carry my water out to the car very nice. Thank you and your staff for being not only open but very polite during these chaotic times. Very refreshing . Never seen customer service great where I feel I would leave a comment but it is absolutely impressive for anyone during these times to actually give 2 shits about me. This is my go-to store in Alpine and I love how welcoming the staff can be. Most of the time everything is clean and in shape, yeah there are days that it could look better, but who doesn't have an off day every once in a while? This store is wonderful! the pharmacy staff while busy, always take time out o ask me how i am doing and if there is anything that I need. The pharmacist caught a drug interaction with a new rx to one that I was already taking and called my doctor to change to a safer medication. They now have Savon and Longs in town but my loyalty is with rite aid. When a company treats you well, stay with them. read more

I go in here a lot and come out empty handed. How does that happen? Well, one...they don't have what I'm looking for and two...the lines are crazy sometimes. For example, when I entered the store someone was waiting in line and there was no cashier. I looked around (couldn't find what I was looking for, shocker!) and when I was leaving, I noticed the same person was still waiting in line for a cashier. What?! How does that happen? It's not even the first time I've seen that either. Anyway, way better service and selection at so many other places. I do not reside in Alpine and I was treated very well by the staff who assisted me with locating cleaning supplies so I could detail the inside of our car. I found all kinds of extra goodies because they were on sale and the store is always very clean when I have been there. The five stars is for a gentleman named Gilbert who waited on me at the register then came back to the cream counter to serve me the delicious "thrifty" ice ceeam cone I remember from way back. Gilbert washed his hands after just handling the cash and then he stuck on his Riteaid ice cream hat while getting my ice cream. Seems like a silly thing to notice, but to me that small gesture showed Gilbert takes pride in his job and wants his guest to really have the Rite Aid experience. When I asked for the manager to compliment him, he explained he was thw manager. Leadership by example, what more can you ask for. :) read more

This pharmacy is the epitome of incompetence. We have been coming here for years, and my insurance has not changed in over three years. The last three visits (3 different family members) apparently required updating the insurance card. No issue there, but waiting to fill the prescription until we arrive (unaware that they need to update our insurance ) is 100% unacceptable. The latest was when my 8 year old had strep throat. I stopped to pick up his prescription after work and they lied and claimed they had called to let us know they needed our insurance card. I will not return to any Rite Aid for any reason, EVER! I called CVS and they had the prescription filled in less than 15 minutes. What a difference to have a pharmacy with good customer service. No idea how Rite Aid is still in business. If I could give 0 stars that would still be too high a rating for this place. read more

This is hands down the WORST pharmacy in history. Avoid using them if you can. Because our insurance changed we had to start using them to get a better price on prescriptions. So far we have had three filled and have had nothing but problems. They didn't have enough of one med so they "lent" me enough for the weekend and said I could get the rest on Monday. When I went to get the remainder, my insurance declined to cover the med saying it was too soon for a refill. Well they charged my insurance on Saturday for the entire prescription! No wonder insurance said it was too soon! To top it off they tried to blame CVS! Their employees are uncaring too. Wish I could have given them -0- stars. read more

Since this stores remodel its actually pretty nice:) But let me tell you what's the point of having a rite aid store card if they don't ever ask you for it and try to rush your thru your transaction before you can present it?!? Would it kill them to take a minute to ask for the card or let you get a word in so you can inform them you have a card?
