I really enjoyed the pizza, it was amazing and cheap. The only reason that this review is not a 5 star is because Gusta Pizza is 3 doors down and a better option. Although Ristorant Ricchi was amazing and delicious, Gusta Pizza is too close to not go there instead.

    Margarita pizza

After getting ignored at a near by restaurant, we walked next door to Ricchi. We were sat and placed our drink orders immediately. We were just swinging by for an appetizer, as most places were still closed for siesta. There was a long list of cocktails, a lot of "American style" drinks, which was nice to see as I was starting to feel homesick. We ordered a Margarita pizza, it was the perfect size for an appetizer. If you were really hungry you could eat the whole thing by yourself, it's not very large. Tasty, thin crust, cooked to perfection. I enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend trying it out!

    Awesome lasagna

Found Richie while wandering around aimlessly. Fairly busy with what seemed like a lot of locals so we thought why not. Good decision. A variety of dishes for the four of us and all very good except for two things. The lasagna Bolognese and the Ricchissima Salad were so much more. The lasagna was the best I've ever had in a restaurant and the salad was just perfect for two people and 9 euros. The service is efficient and cordial but not overly fawning as some are as they mine for tips. I have read other reviews on this restaurant and I disagree with many of them. I will definitely return on my next trip to Florence.

    Melon with prosciutto

Eh. That's about all. We ordered the melon prosciutto which was pretty good. I ordered the beef. The potatoes were the best of the meal. This place does some good potatoes. I requested my beef medium and it came out rare, so I requested it be cooked more. The meat itself was really really chewy. I didn't finish it just cause I felt like my jaw was getting a workout. The staff spoke little English, but ordering was fine for us. We sat outdoors and loved the people watching. Tip- if you pay be credit card you have to pay inside the restaurant. Just get up and go pay with the note the server leaves on your table with what you ordered. If you don't do this you might be sitting there forever.

Entrecôte with green peppers and roasted potatoes.

Enjoyed the baby octopus soup and the entrecôte beef with green peppers and roasted potatoes. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Could do with a little less with the salt. Good service and nice ambiance oits

Worst pizza i've ever eaten, Including frozen pizza. The meat was of questionable source and was quite gamey. The pie was soupy to the point that you needed a spoon to eat it. Im fairly certain they poured a can of tomato soup over a unleavened crust and then baked it until it was as dry and tasteless as Wolf Blitzer's beard. The cheese was minimal and the entire pizza tasted only of salt. Possibly the worst pie on the continent. If i could give it zero stars i would. Hard pass.

    Aperitivo with whiskey sour

When I studied in Italy I ate here almost everyday because we had free meals provided for us at this location. In not even a potato girl, but WOW their roasted potatoes are on the money! The pasta dishes are absolutely mouth watering. They have great "aperitivo" where basically you buy a drink and eat as much food as you want to which they have laid out for you. They offer this almost everywhere in Italy and its the best way to save $ while still trying different foods. Very cool atmosphere too!

This tiny little shop has an inefficient system for ordering, which results in more of a line than their should be, and subsequently more of a delay than I'd like in getting the most delicious caramello gelato cone into my face. However, I find it hard to be upset with them once I am eating the gelato. Eating this gelato makes me very happy, and I would like to come back to Florence and eat it every day of my life until I die, fat and happy. (My apologies that my friend is in my photo of said gelato. It's the only photo I took of it, and I understand that no one wants to see his silly face, but I really wanted you all to see the gelato.)

If you have high quality ingredients, you don't need to pile on other things. And there is a cute market area you can buy local products. I ended up buying some sicilian, olive oil and was surprised at how expensive it was but I was curious about it because you can only get it in italy and it got good reviews. I have since tried it at home and it is high-quality Olive oil and so much flavor... It was shockingly good.

To be transparent, one of the things that drew me to La Strega was the name, I wanted to see what was so witchy about this gelato - and of course the positive reviews helped. The gelateria itself was lovely - soft music playing with intricate decor and a good amount of space. There were a few chairs and stools in case you wanted to sit and enjoy, though they were a little awkwardly placed. There were several flavors of gelato as expected - instead of being on display they were in tubs covered in lids. I heard that's the "proper" way to store gelato as it remains fresher, though the jury is still out for me on that one. Anyway, I got the smallest cup size where I was able to choose two flavors - so I went with the cream and the chestnut. The gelato was really good - creamy with great flavor. Service was great, and overall this was a solid gelateria - La Strega is definitely worth stopping into when in Firenze.

Service was quick, I wouldn't say it was overly friendly, but they did a good job. I ordered the pistachio affogato and a croissant. Sadly, I dropped the croissant on the ground because I didn't have enough hands to hold everything, so I can't say how it tasted, but it looked delicious! They have making affogatos down to a science. You hand the workers your receipt when you get up to the counter, and they make about five of them at a time and then know whose is whose. Each one takes about two minutes to prepare. The affogato was sweet and rich, I wouldn't really say there's a lot of pistachio taste to it since it's just around the rim. But I enjoyed it just the same. You will definitely be surrounded by influencers who want to take photos of themselves at the wine window outside, so just be mindful of that. I took my cup across the street and sat on a bench away from the crowd. I'm glad I tried it while I was in Florence - I don't know if I would need to go back on a return trip, but I can say I checked it off the list!

I was in line for the coffee while my husband and toddlers are outside waiting, then the rained poured heavily.
