So good! Came here with a larger group for a special occasion. The service was great and they accommodated our large group so well, despite in being a pretty small spot. Everything was truly so delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. I had the rigatoni vodka and they let me swap out the rigatoni for angel hair pasta. Needed to meet someone at a place convenient to both of us coming from different directions and chose this restaurant. It's on a busy road in a nondescript strip shopping plaza but once you're inside it's all forgotten. Nothing fancy , but friendly service and really decent food. For my main I had veal Milanese and it was perfectly cooked - crispy outside , tender inside and not over salted or seasoned. read more

Went to this restaurant for the first time, last night. We'd made a reservation and that was good since the place was full; impressive for a Wednesday. The place is lovely and well laid out. It's clean and refreshing. I ordered spaghetti carbonara and my husband had spaghetti and meatballs. Both were delicious although the carbonara was a little too thick with cheese. We were seated by one person, our order taken by a second and food delivered by a third. I'm sorry not to have gotten names because the second person, who, also took our money, gave slightly spotty service. We liked the restaurant and will probably be back. We used to go to Gennaro's weekly when it first opened and we lived close by. We have since moved and it fell off our radar. We chose to go back when meeting friends for dinner. What was I thinking when we stopped going?? The decor was cozy and welcoming. I felt like I was back home. We went on a packed Friday night and were seated right at our reservation time. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We were a fairly large group so it took a minute to decide what we were getting. Our multiple appetizers included the fried calamari, sautéed calamari, and the burrata. They were all good but I am still dreaming about the sautéed calamari. It was tender and melt in your mouth. Do not miss this appetizer when you go. Our main courses included the lasagna, gnocchi, the special risotto, cannelloni, and chicken parmesan. We all enjoyed our meals very much so much so that only one picture was taken. The chicken parmesan was amazing. It was so much that I had it for dinner that night plus 2 additional lunches. 4/8/2023 We had a family gathering at Gennaro's. The person who arranged it kept mentioning how inexpensive it was- but I didn't find that to be the case. I think 18-21 dollars for a pasta meal without a salad isn't really a bargain. The restaurant is located in Aston and there is ample parking in the front and rear of the restaurant. To exit the restaurant there is a traffic light too which makes it easier. Unfortunately for me to get here I have to take I 95 and I didn't realize how close it is to the Commodore Barry Bridge. Very stressful drive plus we were at a stand still on the blue route- quite literally. . . I thought the food was a very high quality and the service was attentive but not intrusive. For appetizers we had the pollenta, I highly recommend, mussels in white broth- so delicious, and I ordered the pork, beef veal meatballs that were served in a rich sauce with a dollop of ricotta cheese. Delicious. Many at the table ordered the lasagna and that looked delicious too. We had the anti pasta with our meal as an add on. They have great desserts! I opted for the homemade chocolate mousse and it was delicious! If you love almonds try the almond cake- it had an almond brittle on top. I tried the cannelloni that is like a manicotti filled with beef, sausage, and chicken it's all blended into one and it was very tasty wrapped like a manicotti. We just had our granddaughter's Baptism party here for 30 people. It's byob which we really like. The food was delicious! We had 4 choices: eggplant Parmesan, raviolis with or without meatballs, salmon, and chicken Parmesan. Everyone loooved the food! For large parties, they include with the entree a salad and gelato. The price was affordable, the food was delicious, and Dana our server was very accommodating and professional. I booked with Tina who was also very helpful and easy to work with. New Years Eve 2024, had a 5pm reservation and 5 were seated right on time. 3 of our party were in from Florida and had never been, but we were confident they would enjoy their meal. When you enter the restaurant the intoxicating smells of the food cooking just make you hungry. Our server, Tina, was especially helpful and made great recommendations. The sausage fettuccine was incredibly good as were all the dinners we had: striped bass, shrimp, meatballs. The beet salad rivaled Hells Kitchen in Las Vegas!And then dessert came: the tiramisu was the BEST I have EVER had and I have dined all over the world!!! I could keep going about this restaurant. I've been to this place many times over the last few years and this place is consistently delicious. Last night I ordered the meatball appetizer which was delicious. The meatballs were so tender and reminded me of a true homemade meatball. BVP blend which I love and not all beef. Our company got the fried calamari and mussels marinara which were both cooked perfectly and the marinara was delicious and fresh. I always order the rigatoni vodka, but substitute for angel hair which is never a problem. It comes with two delicious chicken cutlets on top which are always cooked to perfection and never chewy or dry. My wife always gets the pappardelle and loves it. The pappardelle noodles are HUGE. The gnocchi was also delicious and you can tell they are homemade. Their homemade gravy is so rich and delicious. Not too tart, not too sweet! Service is always so friendly and attentive. This place is definitely a hidden gem. read more

Obviously a very popular place. Even on a weekday, the place was packed. This was my first time there, and I felt the food was just ok. The polenta app was too salty. I ordered the Rigatoni Vodka with chicken cutlet and the Tiramisu for dessert and I'm already looking forward to my leftovers. I am ever-so disappointed with Gennaro's - and just went there again for the first time in years as it never is good. Well, I was right - my cappucino came out with curdled milk. Ick. Fortunately the very kind server, Wendy, brought me another one and took it off the bill. My close friend eats here ALL the time and loves it, but I just don;t get it. It's never "quite right" for me here. Friendly service, old-school digs (they need new carpeting) and a menu to match. People/Locals love it. I went here to celebrate my graduation from graduate school. I really wanted to have a nice experience but was quite disappointed and will not return. I phoned ahead and made a reservation. They were still setting up when we arrived, which was okay, except they were preoccupied and we sat there for about 10 minutes before anyone gave us a menu. My aunt got up and passed out our menus. Our server opened up all three bottles of our wine but we really didn't want all bottles opened at once. We only received one basket of bread, even though we were a party of 7. I asked for more, waited, reminded her and asked for 2 baskets, and got one. At the end of our meal, we submitted payment and waited and waited some more. It was a Wednesday night and we all had a long drive back and had to work in the morning. After a good while, I approached the counter and found our check presenter on just sitting there. I was disappointed and no one tried to apologize. Because this was a special day and I had my cap and gown on, I expected them to give at least adequate service. I will not return and will discourage others from coming. read more

Went last night with 3 of my friends. This is the first time going back since Covid, so the menu was a little different than pre Covid. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted for dinner but I was leaning toward either the Butternut Squash with pasta and peas or the Mushroom Risotto. When our server Maddie was taking our orders I asked which she would prefer between the two and hands down she said the Butternut Squash! Three of us ordered the Butternut Squash; my other friend did not, but after hearing all of us rave about how good it was, she placed an order to take home. Maddie was right on the money with her recommendation, it was absolutely delicious. For dessert we all had the salted caramel gelatto which was also very good. I have never had a bad meal at Gennaro's but I think this one was the best so far! read more

I ordered the rigatoni vodka, which came with 2 large chicken cutlets. The chicken was perfectly crispy and the sauce was creamy and delicious. I really enjoyed dinner.
