For dinner while we were in Myrtle Beach, we tried out this restaurant on the beach. We walked in and decided to sit outside to enjoy the ocean view. After being seated, I put in our beer order and ten plus minutes later, we finally got them. They had a lot of servers that night, so not sure what took so long and it happened again and again, so slow! After our first round of beer, our order came out: dozen raw oysters and sea lovers entree. The oysters were much better than the sea lovers entree, which was a disappointment and it was so bland, no seasoning or flavor. The ocean views there were much better than the food for sure!

This was my 2nd time at Rip Tydz and honestly not sure if I would visit again. My husband ordered a burger but I only had drinks. Let me just say the burger tasted as if it was pre cooked and waiting on someone to order- gross. My drink - noooo but the rooftop is beautiful. Oh, and they hold your credit card which they tell you up front- but wow!!!

This place was amazing. We eat at the rooftop. There was a DJ playing music and they were on point. The food was very delicious. I would highly recommend this place. The service was good. They have a 15% gratuity already added to the bill.

Great atmosphere and location. Service was generally good too. The crab cake sandwich I ordered was small, and bland. I was hoping it would be better, but I was disappointed. The oyster Rockefeller were tasty, but too much bread crumbs.

The "lots of spots" i mentioned in the review

First was THERE WAS A PERSON WHO WOULD PARK OUR CAR FOR US. Off to a great start, The food was SUPER GOOD no joke but it had 3 floors, most restaurants have 1 or 2, also the workers were extremely nice, when we bought a shark cup smoothie the workers let us keep it which was extremely nice aside from a frisbee, the ambiance, it had fake grass which was reasonable because we were sticking off a side of a building, and there were lots and LOTS of spots. View was GREAT. There was birds, like 10 of them ON THE BUILDING. This was on the 3rd floor and also an ATM, an toy machine and elevators. And i had to give a tip, ofc, it was 200$. we did order a big plate with 2 others so made sense, overall, GO HERE. Sadly i came at 2pm so no apparent "DJ" :(

Needed some lunch so gave RipTydz a try. Service was good throughout the meal. No complaints there. Started with the Smoked Gouda and Chicken Egg Rolls. They were very good. Crunchy and delicious. For my main I went with the Crab Cake sandwich and the Chesapeake Seasoned Fries. The Crab Cake was just ok. A lot of filler in it but was cooked well and the pretzel roll was good. The fries were a disappointment. They were cooked uneven and the seasoning on them was very light. Overall it was a good experience and will try something a bit different next time.

Service was quick- went in on a rainy evening. Oyster Rockefeller and chicken and Gouda egg rolls were a hit.

Super friendly staff and good atmosphere, looking out over the beach. Appetizers were tasty and the shrimp and grits was some of the best I've had in awhile. Definitely worth a visit.

7/26- this place! Roof top seating, great views!! They have a 4-6pm happy hour! Perfect time to get food @ discount. Try the Smoked Gouda Egg rolls $8/$16 or Chicken bacon wrap; you will be hooked! Don't forget to ask for your LOCAL residents 10% discount.

I'm obviously not a happy customer, but I'm not unhappy with Jay, my server, but with whoever the manager was on the evening of July 28, 2026. This is the drink I ordered on the menu and what I got. It didn't taste like raspberry at all taste only like lemon and is also very weak. Food is the average nothing special but not bad either. I asked for a waterfront view and I guess I'm waterfront but blocked by the wall. When I asked the waiter to switch the drink, he said sure went and spoke with the manager, and the manager said no no refunds and no exchanges whether you like it or you don't. So keep that in mind if your Bartender sucks that night you're stuck with whatever she/he made you. I travel here once a week for work and try new restaurants, but this is definitely off my list for future visits. I hope this finds you and prevents you from feeling ripped off during your visit to Myrtle Beach. Plenty of other great spots here with great food. Lastly not a biggie but they take your credit card up front and will apply a 15% gratuity regardless of service.

The family and I dined here once during outr stay. We went around 6 pm and there were plenty of options for a party of 6. We wanted the roof top seating but decided against it due to the beaming sun and the looming threat of a downpour. We decided inside next to the open windows was best. The Hostess greated us and showed us to a nice table with a good view. If you dont already know, tables require someone's card to open a tab to get started, however you are permitted to split the check however you like. My family talked up the seafood here as my nephew had been before. I decided to order the Sea Lovers Steamer: crab legs, mussels, clams, shrimp and sausage - sans potatoes and corn. It was a nice large meal that I shamelessly did not share with anyone. Everyone's food came out in a reasonable time and hot. Only my neice had to send hers back - she asked for something to be put on the side inside of on her tacos. Turns out the put it on her tacos and she didn't like the taste. They were quickly remade and brought out. The food was good and our Server did a good job especially considering it was just her third day at work. Being seated indoors near the open patio and window allowed the fresh air and sounds of the ocean to set the ambiance. Music played in the background, actually sounded like it was recordings of live covers. It was a good overall experience. I would dine here again.

We had a great experience at RipTydz! First off, we LOVED our server. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and honestly one of the best servers we've had in a long time. She was very attentive and thoughtful, especially since we were dining with two toddlers. She noticed they were starting to get restless and helped us figure out how to order from two different areas so things would go smoothly for us. At one point the dads took the kids up to the rooftop to play cornhole and Connect Four, and she even brought us extra cups so we could split up the jar drinks so the guys could enjoy some too. It was such a small gesture but really showed how much she cared about making sure everyone had a good experience. The food was delicious, hot, fresh, and really tasty. We ordered the German pretzel, which was huge, warm, soft, and absolutely delicious. I also had the shrimp po' boy and really enjoyed it. I never would have thought to add diced pickles to it, but it actually added a great texture and flavor that worked really well. The drinks were good and fun, but they did taste a little watered down we just wished they were a bit stronger. Overall though, we had a really nice experience thanks to the great service and good food. We'd definitely come back!

RipTydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop Bar This was the only thing that 1) was open at 10 PM and 2) looked like it would have decent food. Google said they closed at 2 AM. We opted to sit outside, but the lighting out there was not the best. (You can see my photos are blue, red, and green because the lights kept changing color.) There was a DJ playing inside. He was good, but the music was really loud. Our server warned us in the beginning that they have an automatic gratuity, and they require a credit card to start a tab. She did explain that you can use a different form of payment later. Two things the server neglected to explain: 1) They don't actually close at 2 AM. We saw servers cleaning up and removing condiments from outdoor tables at around 11 PM. Someone came to tell us last call was at 11:30 PM. 2) There were no prices on any of the drinks listed on the menu, so we asked. Instead of going to check, the waitress quoted us a low price for a beer. I was shocked when the bill charged me $23.96. Of course I asked waitress about the discrepancy, and she just shrugged it off. A decent person would firstly not misinform and secondly would apologize when in the wrong. Bless her heart. I ordered the crab & lobster steamer $72.80 because that seemed like a popular item. I also got the 12 oz ribeye $38.48. I think the seasoning on the steamer was good; it was just not spread evenly. So there were some bites that were grossly salty, and some bites were bland. The ribeye was good. It came out medium rare like I requested. My recommendation is to clearly mark your store hours and prices. I hate the spread of misinformation.

When visiting for a family beach trip, we decided to try this beloved seafood buffet. Along the strip in Myrtle Beach, the roads are lined with a plethora of Seafood Buffets ranging from small family owned to large attraction-like restaurants. Without having tried any of the other options, I would say this has to be the best in town. The atmosphere, staff, variety of food offerings, and taste were unmatched. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique buffet experience. The exterior of this restaurant is massive and felt like a large Shopping Center with beautiful landscaping, water features, beautiful windows, and colorful siding. Upon arrival, we were asked at the door our party size. They had two entry lines based on table sizes. Since our party was four, we were sent to the shorter line and did not even have to wait to be seated. As we were walked to our table, we passed massive sailing ships complete with rows of hot and cold foods. The ceiling was reminiscent of the ocean skies. The entire restaurant felt like an experience already. I was amazed by the theming, cleanliness, and attention to details. For adults, the buffet is right around $50/person + drinks and tax. The buffet is all-you-can-eat with mutiple serving lines placed around the vast dining hall. As a picky eater, I was honestly a little worried that the offerings would primarily be seafood options; however, I was happily surprised that the buffet line had a LARGE selection ranging from Chicken Tenders and Fries to Pulled Pork and Macaroni and Cheese. I was actually very excited to find so many of my favorite foods and be able to eat just a little of them all! Some other offerings I added to my plate include hush puppies, corn on the cob, fried fish sticks, rolls, and cheddar biscuits all in one trip. My brother is more adventurous in his selection and was able to try different fish and crab legs with multiple trips. They had almost two whole buffet areas filled with seafood dishes that I didn't even visit. His favorite was just the shrimp! They also have a whole dessert room with a wide range of sweet dishes. To be honest, some of the food was mediocre or tasted similar to standard buffet-food-quality. The macaroni was a little bland. The fries were a little soggy. However, the restaurant was so busy that food was being rotated and changed out quickly on the buffet line. Overall, the entire experience was fun and unique. The restaurant was very expensive for a family of four, especially when you're not eating over the top or making multiple trips; however, the nautical theming, food selections, and service set this buffet apart from many others. You'll find something to eat whether you're picky or love the most adventurous of seafood dishes.

They had a few different bars that you could order at, with the main one being inside, another little hut outside, and a cash bar next to that. They also had a pretty cool live band, with a viewing patio right in front of the stage. In regards to my visit to Hot Fish, I'd say I was most impressed with the bartenders at the establishment, who did a great job under pressure. Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. They also made some awesome blue Gatorade shots, which were some of the best shots I've ever had! I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!
