CAUTION -- food poisoning I've been there with my husband today, February 20th, at lunch. We've ordered to share: ahi tuna crisp, oyster combo, surf and turf bisque, riptide mixed grill, beer and sangria. In half an hour after we left the restaurant we felt a huge pain in our stomach, an hour later we spent a half an hour in the restroom We both felt horrible and felt asleep. Riptides has all you can eat crab for $75. If you're staying in Daytona Beach you will see planes flying around with Riptides advertising. Because of this I visited to get all you can eat crab, but once I found out the price I decided to ordering something different because I didn't think I could eat $75 worth of crab. I ended up ordering the sampler of cooked oysters and the stuffed shrimp to share with a friend (we also had a couple of bucket mai tais). The oysters and the shrimp were fantastic, we had the opportunity to sit outside, and the server was personable and funny. All in all a great time. I would recommend this place. read more

Delmare across the streets isn't on Yelp yet but is owned by Riptide. Although a more modern beach upscale appearance, the menu fell way short of an upscale Italian chop house! We ordered the Italian burger which was pure grease and the fries are not fresh cut. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was greasy and the side of spaghetti was so plain and bordering bland. Seated within 10 minutes of arrival and food was at table within 15 to 20 minutes of placing order. The all u can eat crab seems to come with a catch. You pay $90 for the ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB, but only the first round (5 to 6 clusters) come with old bay seasoning. All additional crabs seem to be boiled in plain water. No flavor at all. 7/16/18 Monday 1st time in Daytona Beach. 1st time at Riptides. Prior to going I checked out the menu online. I've been wanting some crab dip and figured what better place to get crab dip than a place right on the ocean that has 4 star ratings. When I arrived I listened to the waiter, who was very kind, talk about the menu. Afterwards, I let him know I already previewed the menu and I wanted to start with the crab dip. He then told me they no longer sell the crab dip. This just totally messed me up. I had my taste buds set for some crab dip and it was on their menu online. At that point I should have left, that's what my gut feeling was telling me to do. But I was hungry and I was there so I thought I would give it a chance. Soooooo disappointed. So, no crab dip. The hotel i was staying at also gave me a coupon for a free appetizer, then the waiter told me I had to spend $40 in order to use it. I wasn't planning on buying $40 worth of food so that was another disappointment. I decided on my food order. It came out pretty quick. The cole slaw was bland, the fish was definitely overcooked, the crab cakes taste ok but too much bread, frustrating because I asked were they breaded heavy and while he didn't really answer, he said they were good, some of the best he has ever had, here in Daytona. Well. They definitely didn't rank anywhere near one of the best I ever had. The broiled shrimp was pretty good.The baked potato was good. I only ate one of the crab cakes and maybe half of the fish. I only ate a couple bites of the coleslaw. The waiter was nice and attentive. There you go. I read reviews and some people say this is an upscale restaurant and really good...I beg to differ. Oh, $65 for all you can eat crab legs. Way to expensive, especially being right here on the beach. I eat all you can eat crab legs (at another restaurant)at least twice a month for $40. Came to Florida for vacation and after all of the places we have eaten at, this was hands down the best place. Naturally, when you go to a place for vacation, you tend to try out different restaurants to see and experience all kinds of foods and such. Well, I am definitely coming back here and forsaking the other local restaurants because of how amazing this place is. Let me start with their special "coconut cup" drink. At $11.95, you can order a drink and they let you take home a special hand-carved coconut cup as a souvenir! Already, I was digging the place. When you go to a store and ask for sauces, you would expect the natural hot sauce and ketchup. This place? They bring out their entire homemade sauces made with different fruits and the sauce (Peach and Spicy) was so good I bought a bottle to take home with me! The food isn't overpriced and the quality is beyond what I paid for. They even have 65$/unlimited snow crab (which is a steal if you eat a lot) and their fish plates speak for themselves. I can honestly say that the grouper plate I ordered was one of the top five best ever fish dishes I've ever had in my entire life (and I'm Asian; I tend to eat a lot of fish :D). Lastly, the service I had was what won me over to come back. My server, Cassie, was so kind and helpful. My gf and I asked for recommendations and she was delighted to help. She even answered all of our annoying questions with a smile on her face and was willing to help with any of our problems and needs. What a disappointment! Recommended by a friend and I would not pass on recommendation ever. Best thing was free popcorn shrimp. Downhill from there. Surf and turf bisque was awful. Stuffed grouper was most expensive item on menu and was served cold. Sent it back and it took forever. Once finally back, barely warm and now fish overcooked. Our waiter Joe was a ghost. This place was a cool place to visit on our trip. We had hoped to get the all you can eat crab legs but for the day it was $65 (market prices-so it changes) per person. We just weren't prepared for that. All is good because we both got fantastic meals. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip with chips. The chips had an awesome bbq type rub on them, and I could have licked that off the chips. The dip was good, typical spin dip, but a good size for the price. He got the stuffed grouper and 2 sides. I don't eat seafood but he loved it! It had crab stuffing on the inside of it. I got the steak tips with 2 sides. Side could be anything on their sides option and without an up charge which is always the best! My steak tips were seasoned and cooked wonderfully! The marinade was sweet and a little salty. The black beans were cooked very well and came on top of yellow rice. Then I got the baked potato-loaded, it was very nicely cooked, nice and fluffy inside. The portion sizes were a good size. They have a cool option if you have a souvenir glass you can bring it back any time you come for a discounted price. They have their own Pilsner which is really tasty! And glass refills are only $2.00 after you buy the glass. Lastly I got the mudslide which was really well made. I love a good mudslide. It's a little touristy and a little local. They started to play live music as we were leaving, which I'm sad we missed. We loved what we heard! If we come back to the area for vacation, I'm sure we will be back here. read more

Nice location but that's about all the good I can say. Ignorant to food allergies and what is gluten free. Menu does not allow substitutions so they left my side dish off instead of asking if I wanted something else which I only found out once my plate hit the table. Server did end up bringing me what seemed to be boiled vegetables with no seasoning because clearly gluten free means you are at a nursing home and can't have seasoning. My husband ordered a jerk burger which also had no seasoning. The only plus side, my kids enjoyed there kids meals. read more

Saw a banner on the beach for all you can eat crab legs and I had to go. Place was very big. Both inside and outside dinning. Started with the gator tail, calamari and a crab cake. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the crab cake. Having been to Maryland and had a true Maryland crab cake, I was not impressed. Now the reason for dinning here...all you can eat snow crab legs! This place did not disappoint. Not only was the crab freshly steamed but they kept them coming. Every time you cracked a claw you would cleanly take out the sweet crab meat intact. A great reward for crab lovers. Definitely a great beach side restaurant. When you order a beer they give you the choice to get it in a souvenir glass cup. Waitress also told us if you dine again and either bring the cup or a picture of the cup you still get a beer discount.
