They explained that they would perform the water mitigation and put us in contact with a restoration contractor. That worked perfectly. Their equipment was in our condo until they had completely dried it out. Restoration was anticlimactic. Through the process, Esther kept me up to date on everything that was happening -- she is a jewel. I can't say enough about the technicians and the concern they showed for my condo. I give C&B my highest recommendation.

C&B never intended to do the restoration, and they left me with half my floor ripped up. These folks are dishonest and manipulative. Do not hire them if they say they'll do the entire job. They only want to do mitigation - they won't do the restoration. They also left my walls in rough shape according to other contractors, appear to have cracked an HVAC drain pipe, and generally made a huge mess that I've had to live with. They've repeatedly trash talked my insurance company, terrifying me by implying that my house is going to sit in disrepair and be unlivable like another house nearby. They neglected to mention that the house they are referring to has structural damage and isn't at all like my house. They're just fear mongering and trying to whip me into a panic. It's awful to do that to a single parent who is just trying to get back to normal. Use another company if you want a job well done by people you can trust.

Thankfully, I contacted Gibellino Construction and spoke with directly with Gabe on that first phone call. He was helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. He immediately put my mind at ease. To say that the situation was challenging would be an understatement, but Gabe never wavered in dealing with the insurance company and the many vendors that were involved in the reconstruction of my home. Their work is impeccable, and Gabe spent many hours working on my case to ensure that everything was done to my specifications and within the allotted budget. He also worked tirelessly to incorporate some other renovation projects into the rebuild so that everything would be done on time. While I hope that no one reading this suffers a loss due to fire, flood or some other disaster, if you do, I highly recommend Gibellino Construction as one of your first phone calls! I will use them again should I have any other home renovation projects in the future.

They will wine and dine you at the beginning to get you to sign on but then you get tossed to the back of the queue while they troll for new business. Here are some of the issues I experienced: 1. Awful communication. We requested they notify us the day before they would show up so that we could shower in peace without running into a stranger and to also put our dog (who loves to escape) behind a gate. Received notification maybe twice 2. Promised an electrical survey of appliances for the water mitigation part but was never completed 3. Failed to paint an entire room and the baseboards in another that the work order called for until I pointed it out 4. I had to constantly call them for updates and time estimates since they would not provide them (how hard is it to send a text message????) 5. Waited until the END to fix flooded ductwork which means my thermostat was running double-time to heat the house during this period 6. Delayed working on the project because they were waiting for payment for the water mitigation (this was their responsibility to submit the claim to the insurance company but they screwed it up and I had to fix it for them) 7. Did NOT offer a final walkthrough though it was specified on their closing paperwork. There are still white paint stains on my green door and small wall damages from their equipment on the inside

We received the Repair Contract dated 4/30/26 signed by Joey indicating the Target Start Week date of 6/1/26 and a Target Completion Date for the week of 6/8/26. Spoke with Joey on 6/5/26 to find out the status, as we had not received a call to let us know dates/times to start this job. Joey could not find the Repair Contract that was signed by us and him, which I was holding in my hand at the time of this call. We paid the $250.00 initial inspection, which was supposed to be credited to us with the work in the Repair Contract. Joey could not agree on the telephone about our status and bailed out of the job "I'm closing your case".... Hopefully, the $250.00 will go to an Employee fund for better customer service training....

We paid for the plumber and removed the vinyl flooring ourselves; all they did was dry the area out; no mold or anything like that, just about 1/2 sheet plywood that needed to be dried before we put flooring back down. They kept telling us that it needed to be drier (below 16%) and for 2 days that number didn't change, finally had to call them and have them remove their equipment. We wrote our insurance company about our disagreement, do yourself and don't call this company; they will rip you off. We also removed the drywall.

I returned to my Delaware residence the week of 10-14 October 2022, specifically because Roxanne Murray stated that the Restoration Group would have all the renovation work completed within 4 days. She stated this to my daughter the week before, when they worked for 2 of the 4 days. Therefore, they would need only 2 days to complete the work during the week of 10-14 October. My daughter advised Ms. Murray that the workers could come to work on any day Monday through Thursday (10-13 October). Roxanne subsequently informed my daughter that the workers could not come to finish up until Wednesday and Thursday (12 & 13 October), despite originally stating to my daughter that they would come on Monday and Tuesday. I was never given a time when the workers would arrive. My daughter informed me that the workers had previously arrived at approximately 8:00 am, so I opened the garage door as I was expecting them to arrive on Wednesday, 12 October. When they had not arrived by 9:30 am, I called Ms. Murray, who advised me that they were coming but did not know when or what they would be working on that day. I called back at approximately 11:15 am because they had still not showed up. At this point, Ms. Murray stated she did not know when or even if they were coming. When I informed her that I had an appointment at 3:00 pm, she stated that I had already agreed to be available all day, as if I was expected to wait until the end of the day and hope the workers showed up. At this point, I called back and informed Ms. Murray that the services were no longer needed and that I would hire someone else to finish the work. This incident is consistent with previous behaviors demonstrating their unprofessionalism and lack of reliability, such as: * Frequently did not show up when Ms. Murray said they would; * Workers lied and said nobody was home, but they failed to knock on the door (September 2022) and did not show up the next day even after Mr. Murray said they would; * Ms. Murray failed to provide itemized reports/comparison of material costs, despite my repeated requests; * I received an invoice on September 6, 2022, for $4,830 due by September 21, 2022, before they had even started any work; * Scott (Project Manager) failed to show up on several occasions, and Ms. Murray could not provide a reason for the no-shows; * Ms. Murray aggressively informed me that she did not receive several emails from me despite referencing the contents of those emails to my daughter to include my email objection, dated September 25, to pay $4830 for work not even started; * No one from the company followed up with me after I reported to them that my ring had been stolen while their crew was working in my house; and * Ms. Murray and Alexis Vickers made several false statements during a telephone conversation on September 29, 2022.
