Also the back pool never clean always a weird color. Another thing to add shaders fell on peoples cars shattering windshields, then the following week the whole apartment complex was flooded many cars with flood damage, this caused construction for a month half people had to drive all the way around to get in. Also WiFi will go out 4-5 days at a time this makes it impossible to do schoolwork/work. Also another thing to add my neighbor above me has to get black mold removed from his room. PLEASE don't get trapped in a lease here like I did it's overpriced and your money is way better anywhere else in Tempe University Housing, The Carmin, anywhere else. -Johnny

Half of the units are privately owned and half are rented by valley income properties. My unit is renovated and has all granite, stainless appliances, and a stacked washer/dryer in unit. I have had a few maintenance issues here or there, but nothing too serious. I had a roof leak that was promptly fixed (even with a new roof being put on), and my washer broke which was replaced within just a short few days. Even though these maintenance issues were promptly fixed, i have always been contacted by the contractor himself and not by my property manager. For little items such as fixing my closet doors, I just had done myself since the management never replied after multiple attempts. There are stray cats in the complex that leave poop everywhere as well as dog owners who do not clean up after their pets, which is annoying. The pool has always been clean every time I have gone. The grass is always watered and landscaped every week. Overall I enjoy living in this complex. Ive never had serious problems with my unit and the neighbors are quiet as far as I have experienced. I would recommend to others.

The apartment is in a great location and close to airport, shopping, movie theaters, restaurants and anything else you could imagine by stepping outside your front door. The apartment is well maintained and love the interior hallways and security access as well as the many amenities such as the pool, outdoor grills and fire pit area, gym, pool table, movie theater, conference room and so much more. This is by far one of the most well kept properties and very attentive to all of the tenants needs in a timely manner when a work order is placed. I give all the credit to the management team as they are by far one of the most friendliest and professional apartment staff I have dealt with and that goes for the manager Danielle all the way down to the cleaning crew, maintenance crew and the security staff who are always doing a great job of making the place a wonderful and safe place to live. The apartment layouts are spacious and well designed and wouldn't want to live anywhere else but Emerson as I haven't found anything that compares to what Emerson can provide and they have proven that over time. What makes this place so great besides the apartment being well kept, the great amenities, and not feeling like there are a bunch of crazy college kids running around everywhere is the personal relationships built with the management team. They truly care about the place and it's tenants and it shows! Five stars and highly recommend Emerson on Mill to those looking for a great place to live and to make some new friends as well. Jordan got things done when needed, he was getting the place cleaned up. Every other manager was rude, and it would take forever to get Maintenace request taken care of. Now that Jordan is gone the cleanup and repairs in my bathroom that flooded has not been completed, i still have a hole in the wall The rent goes up but nothing is upgraded. water gets shut off at least 2 times a month for water leaks even after the change in giving each apartment a shut off valve. I do not know what is going to go on now with Jordan gone, I guess I will see but I sure miss Jordan

And the views are remarkable. However, the buildings are filthy. The halls the elevators and especially the outside sidewalks are grimy and stained. The problem is the corporation will not hire enough cleaning staff. Also if you move in, make sure your apartment is in good shape. Report and insist on fixing grime along the floorboards, marks and scratches on the walls, peeling wood and paint in the kitchen. Be very, very detailed in your first assessment Also know that the amenities can often not be working. I think this is all because of bad staffing. Though every member of the staff is competent, they are all overworked.

I stayed through two summers as well…read more everyone has a different experience but overall I would recommend living here Pros: -gorgeous apartments with great views. studios come unfurnished but was still big enough for a queen bed, love seat couch, small bar table and several other pieces of furniture. had a walk in closet as well -fast elevators! at least from my experience in the north tower. security is decent -pool has a lot of chairs so there's usually always space available (when the pool isn't shut down) -located in the heart of tempe, perfect for ppl who wanna be next door to both mill and campus -one of the nicest apartments in Tempe overall. I would say the pricing is worth it -community events happen often with free food and activities. they had an event with Celsius at the pool deck and I went and snagged like 20 cans of Celsius for free Cons: - appliances inside my apartment weren't always functioning properly. The washing machine would eat my clothes regularly, and the dishwasher would flood my sink with disgusting dirt water when draining (yes I contacted maintenance & the issue just continued to happen after they came multiple times, ended up just not using dishwasher) - not sure why they would completely redo the pool and close it for months right at the beginning of the summer. and no we did not get compensation for not being able to use amenities. pool was shut down a lot actually for draining and cleaning when residents bring glass to the pool deck. - parking garage is managed by a separate company that did not do regular maintenance, or really any at all. I'm talking specifically about the wall by the north tower entrance on the 4th floor that accumulated a LOT of bird feces (you will encounter the pigeons that live there daily and they will do their business on your car), as well as the hanging canopy that broke and was never repaired. -when in hallways, you can hear inside people's apartments very clearly, and when you are inside your apartment you can hear hallway noise. luckily you can't really hear neighbors when everyone is inside.
