The hot and spicy sauce paired with the teriyaki sauce was a great combination and really complemented the seafood. When we first visited, it was also one of the few Asian restaurants open during the holidays, which made getting that reservation feel even more special. Coming from Vegas, the beau is especially particular about sushi, and Oiza successfully exceeded expectations. As for me, having dined at Japanese restaurants from Nobu and Morimoto to Michelin-starred experiences, I was equally impressed by the ambience, service, presentation and overall execution. It also makes sense that the operation feels seasoned: Oiza is part of Lin's Restaurant Group, the same local family behind other Fresno-area favorites including Hino Oishi, J-Pot, Spicy J's, Ramen Hayashi and Lin's Fusion. It's obvious the staff has been properly trained in both front- and back-of-house fine dining operations.
