Update: the nails that were "fixed" have now chipped. In total I have had 6/10 nails chip badly and it's been 1 week. Really, really wanted to like this place because of all the great reviews and prices! I came in last Friday to get an SNS overlay and was very pleased with the color and shape. One day later 2 of my nails chipped the next day 2 more. I went to to get the 4 fixed within 4 days w the fix free and I was very appreciative. I thought things were looking up, I was wrong. The next day 2 more of my nails chipped. I don't know if it was due to a lack of layers that were applied or what but I'm pretty sure this is not acceptable. read more

I came here after looking for a good nail salon near work, and was happy to come upon Riley's. They did amazing work, and Lee is very sweet and fun to talk with. I got dip on my nails and a basic pedicure with matching polish, and it turned out amazing. I got compliments on my nails the next day at work. I went here to do my nails and decided on getting my eyebrows done as well by Lee based on the reviews. What a big mistake! I am literally in tears! My nails turned out okay but my eyebrows was burnt. Both sides!!! And it wasn't even worth it. Not done properly at all. Worse experience ever. I've never had such an awful experience waxing my eyebrows before and I've had this done several times in my lifetime. My vacation is totally ruined! I would not recommend doing your eyebrows here or any type of waxing! I'm adding some pics but the pics still makes it look a lot better. It's alot worse looking at it in person. read more

I am new to Arizona and found Riley's here on Yelp. It had great reviews and it was close-by, so I called and asked if I could stop in for a gel manicure. She said yes, come on in, which I was very appreciative of (hence the 2 stars). I showed up and immediately felt rushed. The woman who was removing my gel polish was too busy talking and not watching what she was doing, so she jabbed my finger with the spinning tool, which cut it and made it bleed. When she was done, another woman took over and painted my nails. While she was doing so, she asked how I found the place and I said on Yelp. She said something along the lines of oh yes, great reviews on there. Be sure to leave a 5-star review! I'm thinking, no wonder there's such great reviews Recommending to leave a review is one thing, but telling someone to leave you 5 stars is another. So here's my honest, non-5-star review. After I left, my nails looked decent. However, they started lifting and peeling within the first week, which has never happened for me (and I've probably gotten close to 50 gel manicures). Attached is a photo of how horrid they looked. They were lifting so bad and getting caught on everything, so I tried peeling one off. It came off in 2 seconds. Attached is another photo of how easily they peeled off in one piece without any acetone or anything, which also should not happen. This use to be my favorite nail salon and it's a drive to get here but it was always worth it. However, that's now changed. The guy that works here (sits close to the front desk) is very rude. He told me he couldn't do a nail design I wanted which was like French tip. I brushed it off and picked another nail design something simple. He was rude about it too. I came to this salon for a short french tip set. While getting them done the man wouldn't speak to me and was upset when I mentioned that it was hurting my nails when he was taking the electric file on my natural nail. He didn't like that. Then he couldn't do the french tip design and so I had to wait for the woman who can do designs. To me, that's okay because I understand that every tech has different skills so I waited. When my nails were finished they looked good. But they also were stuck to my cuticles and I knew they would lift. 5 days, not even a full week, but 5 days later allllll of them were lifting and 2 popped off. So I called and asked to come back in and have them redone. When I came in she blamed the lifting on me and said I was picking at them. I was shocked that she said that but I just moved on and let her go on with my nails. When I was showing her the lifting she said I should not get french so that I won't see when it lifts. In my opinion, I should get whatever I want and it shouldn't lift regardless. I told her I wanted french again and she kept repeating how I shouldn't get french because my lifting will show. I smiled and said I want french again anyways. She proceeded to tell me that every place I go to would say the same thing as she did to me. No place that I've ever been has said I should get a color instead of a design in order to hide the lifting. Then the entire rest of the appointment I tried making small talk or just talking about the nails and when I would speak she ignored me! Telling me not to get what I want, then not speaking to me when I say that I'm going to get what I want anyways... UNPROFESSIONAL. Then about halfway through my appointment she asked if i had been to any other places and I said yes I've been to lacquer salon and liked them but that I wanted to try out another place. She proceeded to tell me that I should continue going to that place instead if I like them better. I said I just wanted to try out a new place and she ended up telling me not come back. She finished my nails, and asked me to go to another place next time instead of coming back to her salon. "I'll do it like this this time but go somewhere else next time." I promised I would never come back and she was happy with that response. Thankfully, she didn't make me pay. This set looks even worse than the ones I originally got. Their prices are clearly marked on the wall and I didn't get obnoxiously nagged to upgrade my services like I do at others salons. Found them on Yelp and I made an appointment for myself, sister and our two friends for all of us to get pedicures. Their prices are very reasonable for a pedicure and there are different packages that you can choose from. My pedicure has lasted a few weeks so far before the polish started chipping. My friend wanted a design on her toes, and the guy that did her toes said he couldn't do the design which is disappointing. Why didn't anyone else offer to do the design for her then? Or why didn't he ask any of the other nail techs if they could do the design for her? That could've been handled better. Plus he wasn't very sociable. I'd come back for a pedicure since their prices are reasonable, but they're a bit far for me unfortunately. read more

I came in during lunch because my nails were busted again and I hadn't gotten them done since 2017 :O They were able to take off my crusty SNS and do a fresh new gel color in about 40mins ~. Since I only had a short amount of time, I really appreciate how fast they worked. My gel manicure cost $30 so it's decently priced and looks amazing. My toenails were pretty raggedy. We're talking so bad I covered them up with socks just so nobody in the airport could see them when I had to take my shoes off. They were about 4 months grown out with gels - yeah, I trim them - I'm not THAT disgusting. But they were looking pretty sad. Given then I had open toed shoes for a Holiday party the following evening I knew I had to locate a nail salon near to my hotel stat. Luckily Riley's popped up on Yelp as nearby and had several positive reviews. I was able to get in on a Friday at 1:30pm easily with a call ahead appointment. When I arrived there were only two others in the salon. Inside looked like a tyoical strip-mall salon. Polish colors on the wall to your right, small row of chairs to wait in by the front window and a wall of pedicure chairs opposite manicure booths. It was fairly clean in inside, nothing I'd turn my nose up to. The pedicure baths were lined. Being from California I'm definitely not used to that cheese-grater device - pretty terrifying if you ask me. But she was gentle and only used it on my heels. My sparkly red holiday toe nails look fabulous and best part? She didn't sneer or snicker once at my raggedy old toe nails. read more

UPDATE: While getting them removed at another salon, the nail tech said these were the worst nails he'd ever seen. There were too many layers of dip and it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to remove them. Do not go here. ------- Small place with friendly employees. The selection for gel nails was limited, with many repetitive color selections. I received a pedicure and a gel manicure.. well, really no manicure just gel dips. I was not given a typical manicure- no file, cuticle, clip, nothing. Just dip. Furthermore, I was given the wrong accident dip color, didn't realize until I was walking out (my fault, should have been paying attention). The "top coat" to my gel "manicure" was nothing more than regular polish top coat and it dried lumpy. This is not my first gel mani, but I had to ask for her to remove the dip from underneath my nails because my nail was glued to my skin. She said "your nails are too short" and proceeded to jam her fingernails in between to separate them. Ouch. It feels like I have 3 inches of polish build up on my nails. This gel polish physically hurts my nail beds. I went the next day to another shop just to get it removed. Overall, there are better places for less money than Riley's. read more

I have my nails done very frequently so finding a great place was really important. I like to get the dip polish because it's supposed to be better for the nails. Riley's had a very big selection of dips to choose from! I believe I paid $35. Lee is the lady who did my nails. I can't say enough great things about her! For starters, she was awesome at shaping!! She was super sweet and made my experience fantastic. It is a fairly small shop so I'm thankful I called ahead to check the availability. There was a fair amount of parking when I arrived. Pedicure- The Caucasian women that works here, I believe her name is Bethany, did an amazing job on my pedicure!! I haven't had such a good pedicure in such a long time. If I was coming back to this salon it would on be because of her. Nails- The lady who did my nails I guess is the shop owner, not entirely too sure. She had pink glasses and short hair. I asked for SNS Manicure but along the way she was doing my nails I asked if the SNS Manicure includes cuticle trimming. She said no, our quality of SNS does not include cuticle trimming. It is $5 extra and that no other salon does cuticle trimming with SNS. I INFORMED HER that she is wrong because my normal salon I go to does. She just kept mentioning that Riley Salon is higher quality - which began to go down hill very quickly. My SNS nails were very messed up and crooked. You can tell where the tip is on at my nails. The SNS is scruffy and bumpy. I had her fix my nails 2 times then had to wait another 15 min for her to come back to fix it again because she went and started on someone else. My supposed SNS Manicure without the Manicure portion took over an hour plus because she kept getting up every 5 minutes. At the end of my service I didn't leave a tip. She enact her the receipt from me and didn't even tell me to have a good day or anything. I hate that I didn't leave Bethany a tip because she did a heck of a good job! But my nail lady was awful - for nails and service. High quality my butt! I came here because of the high reviews but just avoid this place or go see Bethany. read more

This place has terrible customer service! I honestly can't believe how rudely I was treated. After my pedicure I noticed my toenails were a little jagged, so I asked Lee if she could just file a couple of them a little bit more. Initially she was helpful but quickly began making excuses, proceeding to let me know that my toes were all different and crooked which is why my toe nail looked jagged. She then said if she filed the side I wanted down, it would look bad. I let her know that was okay, I just wanted them to look a little more even - this is when she threw the nail file at me and said "do it yourself". So I did. She then dug her nail under my toenail and said she wasn't going to do anything else because what I wanted was wrong. She dug her her nail so hard and deep into my toe that I screamed and I was bleeding in the hours following. My toe is still sore. I completely understand being frustrated, I've worked in customer service in the past, perhaps she was tired or strapped for time but you NEVER treat people like that. You don't throw a tool at them and you certainly do not tell to fix it themselves. Do not come here. read more

Went in for a pedicure and it was pretty disappointing to say the least. The younger lady that did my toes did an ok job but honestly something I could've done at home. It felt as though ants were doing my toes because she barely removed any of the dead skin or push cuticles nothing spectacular. It felt as though she barely touched my toes hence the extra skin still been there a few days later. Won't be returning here. I tried this place when I first moved to Phoenix back in 2014, I loved my nails and pedicure by it's about 30 mins from my house so I've found places closer. However, since I've been disappointed in my service with my favorite salon (LK Nails and Spa) I decided to give Riley's a try again. For starters, the prices are great! I paid about 50 bucks for a nice pedicure and a gel fill in. I would have paid close to 70 at LK. I went on a Friday morning about an hour after they opened and I was taking care of immediately. The pedicure was nice, included hot stones and the guy wasn't too rough. I like that. The nice woman at the first station took care of my nails and did a fantastic job. I have sort, almond shaped, burgundy colored nails right now and get sooooo many compliments on them!! Most importantly, they really last the entire 2 weeks as they are intended too!! This Place is in a shopping center, not hard to find. Decided to come here based on yelp reviews. A nice homey place. Went in for a mani and pedi and was immediately taken to the chair for service. When I went for the pedicure they gave me a menu of the type of pedicures they have. It ranged from $15-40 depending on what services you want and extras for an additional $5. I got the standard pedicure that's $20. It includes cuticles, leg massage, hot stone, hot towel, and of course the nail polish. It's a pretty good deal. The gentleman spent a good amount of time on my feet/legs and very detailed in the work. I also got the option for them to do my hands while doing my feet but I wanted to enjoy them both separately. Although if you're in a rush that's a nice option when they aren't packed with people. Finally the mani, I got gel polish on my natural nails for $25. I got temperature changing gel polish so it changes from blue to sky grey depending if I'm warm or cool. Love my nails, great service. Will be back read more

I would not recommend this place. They always require appointments even though they say they take walk-ins. They can be rude and always turn away customers and ask you to come back.
