It's nothing too weird, just some pastry dough filled with savory filling. They are fairly small so you may need o order about 2 or 3 to be satisfied. Their regular flavor empanadas are $1.79 each or $17.99 dozen. You can choose from spicy beef, sweet beef, chicken, ham & cheese, cheese & onions, and tuna. Special flavor empanadas include blue cheese, bacon & prunes, chicken & mushrooms, ricotta cheese & spinach, fatay, chopped beef, and caprese. These are $1.99 each or $19.99 dozen. You can get 3 regular flavor empanadas and a 16 oz. drink for $6.50 (combo 1) or get 2 regular flavor empanadas + 1 pizza slice + 16 oz. drink for $6.99 (combo 2). They also have crepes (savory and sweet), pizza, pizza subs, calzones, and pastry items. My wife and I liked the chicken & mushroom and spicy beef empanadas the best. We also tried onion & cheese and breakfast empanadas (eggs & sausage). They were pretty good as well. The pastry dough was baked to a nice flaky texture. I would like to try these fried next time if that's an option. We didn't care for the spinach crepe. It was way too much cheese and the texture of the crepe was a bit dry. Tucked away in Glendora just South of Foothill Blvd. is an empanada and pizza place that pumps out all sorts of pastries and goodies Argentine style. We did a quick Yelp search and happened upon the spot after watching the CA Amgen Tour go through the area and stopped in to grab a drink and a quick bite. We ran into some acquaintances while stopping in who love the spot and said the crepes, cookies, and empanadas here are really good. Everything is fairly reasonably priced as well. We tried a few of the empanadas and they were pretty good, we even placed a second order to get a few to take home. The empanadas are baked not fried and they are all par baked so they just finish them off in the oven and they are ready within 5 minutes or so. Their pastries looked delectable, many of them made with quince or dulce de leche. They house make everything which is nice. Favorite Empanadas Listed in order from most to least favorite: Fatay 4.5 stars (Arabian Empanada) Probably my favorite out of what I tried. ground beef, tomatoes, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, parsley served with a lemon wedge Bacon & Prunes 4 stars Very rich flavors of bacon, prunes, onions and mozzarella cheese Sweet Beef 3.5 stars ground beef, onions, bell peppers, hard boiled eggs, green olives, raisins Ricotta Cheese & Spinach 3.5 stars Rich flavors. Although they have pizzas and Argentinian pizzas (which I'd like to try), I've only had the empanadas. Years ago we ordered take out from them and it was always great. Great little local place to get Empanadas. I got the beef, caprese, and corn empanadas. All were very good. The beef empanada was an expected tad salty, but that came from the green olives. Otherwise, it was good. The caprese had the right amount of cheese and ham. All the ingredients worked well together without one ingredient overpowering the rest. My favorite though was the corn. It had a nice creamy white sauce with the right amount of corn inside. Also, The Parmesan cheese they used did not make the empanada too rich tasting. For dessert, I got the alfajores de maicena which was delicious!!! I can't wait to go and try their dessert crepes, pizzas and other empanadas. read more

The Empanadas are good and they have a variety. Actually, this is the only thing I've had on the menu but it's been numerous times.

I tried empanadas for my first time here, and realized how much I've been missing out. I ordered a beef and a spinach empanada and both were made fresh and packed with flavor. The cashier helped us choose what to get and gave honest suggestions. They offer some vegetarian options as well which is great! They cost a little under $3 each. I only ordered 2 and it was enough to fill me up. I think 3-4 for a guy can be considered a meal. They also have shelves inside filled with imported Argentinian candy, chocolate, and tea. We went today to have early dinner and ordered pizza. My husband was told that there's no more pizza, so we decided to get the savory crepe instead. It turned out to be good. But people after us was getting pizza. My husband went and spoke with the lady why were the people after us are getting pizza. Apparently, the husband made more dough, but the lady in front didn't tell us at all. Plus she doesn't speak English. Why would you have someone in customer service not speak English in Glendora. Ambiance is nice, you can order to-go or dine-in. The dine-in menu is pricier than the to-go menu, beware. Price for 1 doz empanadas is $23.50 We tried the following empanadas, served with chimichurri: -Beef -Spicy Beef -Chicken -Fatay (on the specialty side, so a bit more expensive) The chimichurri was a huge negative (free with dine-in service, and $1.50 for to-go orders), but don't bother. The beef and spicy beef were both well made and flavorful. They were a bit dry for my liking, but in exchange, they weren't greasy AT ALL, which is always a huge plus. The chicken was not as flavorful, and was very dry. The fatay was the most disappointing. I expected something very flavorful but this lacked flavor and was not worth the up-charge. The wait time was approx. 10-15 min. I would recommend this place as a quick fix to those who are craving empanadas. read more

Prior to coming here, I've never had an empanadas before, but boy, was in for a surprise! As soon as we walked in, we were pleasantly greeted and asked if we were dining in or taking out. We chose to dine in and they said they'd bring us a menu. The interior is very nice and casual. With plenty of tables to bring all your friends! Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive! I wish I had gotten a picture of the menu, because everything looked absolutely delicious!! We decided to order a Caprese empanada, spicy beef empanada, a chicken mushroom empanada and an Entraña sandwich which was a skirt steak sandwich with chimichurri sauce. Okay, the empanadas were absolutely amazing! 11/10 They were oven baked, so there was no greasiness! The dough held up amazingly as they were not soggy or soft! Chicken mushroom- Super flavorful and creamy! With nice big chunks of chicken and mushroom! Caprese- Cheesy, creamy and flavorful! Filled with ham, cheese, basil and tomato Spicy beef- wasn't as spicy as I wanted to be, but the heat was there! Really flavorful, could definitely taste the spice in the meat! With pieces of hard boiled egg and green olives! Not a huge fan of those ingredients but I didn't mind them in the empanada. Entraña sandwich- maybe my least favorite item, but still good nonetheless! The meat was a little dry, but the chimichurri did help! The chimichurri was a little different as I'm used to the green parsley based one. This one was red with herbs, but delicious! The best part of the sandwich was the French baguette, it was crunchy and soft! All in all, the empanadas were extremely delicious! I highly recommend this place for the empanadas! OVERALL RATING: 4.5 STARS!! Found this place as I browsed through Yelp looking for a new spot to try during lunch. The stars definitely don't disappoint as I really enjoyed the empanadas here! During my first visit I tried multiple variations of empanadas and the chicken and mushrooms was my favorite!! The beef was pretty tasty as well! The spicy beef can be a tad bit too spicy; I had to let it cool because spicy + hot empanada was all the spicier. There are olives in many of the empanadas and in the beef variations, the flavor is much more apparent. In addition to those empanadas, I usually get one spinach one as well so I have some veggies with my meal lol. Not bad, but not great either. The chicken and mushrooms....yum!! So juicy and delicious. Today I tried the Fatay and loved it...maybe even more than the chicken and mushrooms! The dough for the Fatay had a more pizza dough feel; the empanada dough is soft and less fluffy. If you still have room, try some dessert! The pastry with jam on top is my fave!
