This is now one of my top three breakfast places…read more I always start these out by saying I spent most of my life in the restaurant business. I also owned a bakery in the eighties. So I can be very critical when necessary. But not with this beautiful family run restaurant and bakery. I never remember names, but the dad was in IT and got out and bought this orchard. Mom does the cooking and baking. And the daughters are the servers. Beautiful vibe and family. And friendly farm cats. A very small but fresh menu. My friend and I both had different quiches. This was the best quiche I ever had!!! We also split a bowl of oatmeal that was filled with goodies...nuts, granola, etc. we both had the tea/lemonade combo that was also wonderful. Then we went into the bakery to pay. But will all the goodies we both bought way too much stuff. In addition to the incredible baked goods they have frozen homemade soups, homemade jellies and jams, local honey, and much more. The sourdough English muffins were excellent. When we left one of the daughters was picking herbs from the raised beds. I had to think long and hard about whether to write this review. I want them to be successful but not too successful. Go...but please don't tell anybody.

I stopped in their farm bakery and was delighted with the offerings. They had pumpkin whoopie pies, frozen pies, soups, and more. The pumpkin whoopie pies were the best I've ever had. My husband agrees and he's a whoopie pie connoisseur. If you love farms, farm stands, and supporting local businesses, I highly recommend.

Upon arrival each person pays a $10 cover charge that you receive a ticket for use in the country store in the amount of $10, so technically you get your money back as long as you buy something. Honestly the visiting experience was only okay, I am not sure I'd go back or recommend it BUT this is tempered by the fact that I did buy the biggest, prettiest mum and I may go back again for another one next year. I definitely have the nicest mum in all of Jersey City. I think it was around $20 for my huge mum and I was going to buy some apple cider donuts, but when I saw they were charging $18 for 12 donuts I put the package back on the shelf.

Honestly best apple cider donuts I've ever had + freshly baked , not stale at all and very soft and fluffy (but you have to buy it in a dozen, you can't buy individual) Lots of apples to choose from ~5-8 kinds from evercrisp to snapdragon to gold rush. Gold rush & pink lady were my favorite. Atmosphere: Loved for fall! There's was live music, plenty of apples and pumpkins to pick from, plenty of benches and seating indoors and outdoors for eating, and areas for children to play Dogs allowed! Service: friendly everywhere!! Price: cheap for entry, food is $$. You have to pay a $10 fee but it goes towards anything you buy. For apple cider & cider donuts I would say worth the price. Apple picking is charged by the pound

Picture rows of…read moreapples stretching into the horizon -- the perfect backdrop for those fall golden-hour photos. During my visit, the trees were full of Pink Lady, Evercrisp, Red Delicious, and Empire apples. After tasting these fresh, juicy picks straight from the tree, I don't think I can go back to store-bought apples - not that I really have a choice! Every bite was crisp perfection, and honestly, this might become an annual tradition for me. You can choose from a few bag sizes when you go apple-picking: Large ($40) - labeled at 30 lbs Medium ($25) - labeled at 12-15 lbs Small ($15) - labeled at 7-8 lbs Separate from the orchard, there's a large open field that's perfect for picnics, with plenty of seating and cozy fire pits to keep you warm. It's a beautiful, family-friendly space -- kids running around, birthday celebrations happening, and couples just relaxing in the fall breeze. You don't need to pick apples or pay any additional fees to enjoy this area, which is a big plus. Bring your own chairs if you want extra comfort. There were three food trucks on-site during my visit. My favorite was Pika Food Truck -- their Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich was delicious. Chef O's Streatery offered empanadas but they weren't my favourite-- a bit too salty and lacking flavor. We also tried a flight of ciders, which was such a fun way to sample different seasonal flavors. Before you leave, make sure to check out the scenic overlook -- it's stunning, especially with the fall foliage. I loved that they even had a tripod set up for easy photo-taking. Rogers Orchards truly captures everything great about fall -- fresh apples, good food, cozy vibes, and community. They accept cards, which makes checkout super easy.

So here I am back at Rogers Orchard, and it's just beautiful. Fresh vegetables and fruits, recently harvested corn on the cob, specialties, canned goods, apple cider donuts, and the star of the show... The fresh apple cider. If you are anywhere in the area, this is a wonderful stop to browse and impulse buy. Also, the prices are great on all the fruits and vegetables. I managed to pick up some pickled beets, some small pickles, a half dozen apple cider donuts, and of course, for the ride home, a nice cup of the freshly made apple cider. This apple cider was beyond delicious. I knew I should've bought a quart of it. Oh well, this will give me a reason to get back there soon. Bring your camera, as the Rogers Orchards grounds are really nice for a picture taking. The bunnies may be gone, but the memories remembered from the past, memories from today, and memories from the future from visits to Rogers Orchards will always be remembered fondly
