One person came out and reviewed the 4 tasks I wanted done: replacement shower faucet in the front bath and another shower faucet replacement in the back bath plus two other smaller repair jobs. The price for the front shower faucet was $695 and the same for the rear shower faucet. One repair job was $295. At those, overly high prices, I asked for only the front shower faucet and one repair job, that totalling for about $1000. A separate person came to do the job (he was unvaccinated and needed the mask I gave him - my wife and I are immune system compromised). He said he thought HE was to quote prices. I corrected him and reviewed the two tasks. He had to leave to buy a part which I OK'd. Somewhat later, he called and said the first person had quoted $695 for the rear "fiberglass" shower but for the front tiled shower, he'd have to raise the price another $300. (Both showers are tiled; I have no fiberglass shower.) But wait, he originally said that he was here to quote prices and yet he knew the 1st person's quote. As I am absolutely certain the first person quoted $695 for the front shower, I realized that the second person, John, just wanted more money. So I fired the company both for their poor communications between so-called professionals, their original over-charging, and the game-playing to try to add yet more costs for no possible reason. I had their plumber out to fix my bathtub faucet leak. The worker was very nice but the leak continued after he left. I called them back and they returned but the faucet was not working properly after the second time. It didn't move easily and the cold water side continued to leak. When I called a second time I was told by James that they couldn't just keep coming out there and maybe I needed to buy a new faucet. I recently had the nightmare experience of finding a slab leak in my house. I contacted a plumber who was recommended by my insurance company. He came out and was not able to weld the pipe. While it was not cheap they fixed the problem and did an excellent job of minimizing the repairs impact. They were careful in restoring the grass and did a great job cleaning up.
