The motor fully went out and they were able to order the part quickly and install it quickly. Fast forward to now, the dryer stopped blowing hot air. It took about 3 business days to air dry a load of clothes. HVAC & Appliance Repair Guys were able to offer same day service, we ended up choosing two days later just bc of our own chaotic schedule. However we appreciate their ability to come out same day. After an embarrassing moment of cleaning our dusty laundry room which has become our *what the heck* room of things that don't belong in other rooms. Max diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the part. Our heating element spring called it quits on us. He was in and out within 30-40 minutes. It's refreshing to have such quick service. Also, while communicating right here on Yelp messages, their replies were prompt. Always within an hour at the longest. Strongly recommend. It's always great to know we have a reliable appliance repair team to call, tho to no fault of their own, I hope we don't need to call them any time soon haha.

They found the perfect unit, a Mitsubishi Hyper heat ducted heat pump that would provide air to all the upstairs rooms, and work in very low temperatures. Their price was excellent. Scheduling was no problem, and they came out and did a very good job, the cleanest of any contractor we've had. They also did an excellent job of explaining to me about the different electronic/ Wi-Fi thermostats available, and why a nest unit, which was my first preference, wouldn't work. Overall a real joy to work with and we would absolutely use them again when we need our main furnace replaced.

While Dane was wonderful in replacing our water heater's anode rod, it was quite bothersome that we…read morehad to pay $250 to have it replaced on a part covered under warranty. The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.
