The motor fully went out and they were able to order the part quickly and install it quickly. Fast forward to now, the dryer stopped blowing hot air. It took about 3 business days to air dry a load of clothes. HVAC & Appliance Repair Guys were able to offer same day service, we ended up choosing two days later just bc of our own chaotic schedule. However we appreciate their ability to come out same day. After an embarrassing moment of cleaning our dusty laundry room which has become our *what the heck* room of things that don't belong in other rooms. Max diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the part. Our heating element spring called it quits on us. He was in and out within 30-40 minutes. It's refreshing to have such quick service. Also, while communicating right here on Yelp messages, their replies were prompt. Always within an hour at the longest. Strongly recommend. It's always great to know we have a reliable appliance repair team to call, tho to no fault of their own, I hope we don't need to call them any time soon haha.

One of HVAC & Appliance Repair Guy's plumbers named Bill came out to do free estimate. I really appreciated the company's willingness to do free estimates. After talking with Bill, briefly, it was obvious that he knew exactly what needed to be done, and he explained why the technique that I used didn't work, and that I just needed a 3/8" snake to do the job - even though my snake was long enough, it wasn't large enough to do the job - so I went ahead and had the work done. I was so impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his work, including taking off his shoes before entering my residence, that I went ahead and had him do some additional work on a toilet with a leaky wax ring. The experience was great, the work was done quickly, and for an affordable price. Highly recommend these guys if you're looking to have any plumbing issues worked done. There's a reason why these guys have so many five star reviews. I can't speak for everyone who works for these guys, but Bill was definitely the kind of plumber that you want.

In no time at all, he diagnosed and fixed the issue with our AC drain line and, on top of that, explained everything to me and showed me how to fix this same issue myself in the future. As if that wasn't enough, he pointed out (politely!) that we were using the wrong size furnace filter--and replacing them more often than needed. He told me what size we should be using, and why, and where to find them. I could not be happier with these guys, and will absolutely be using them again for any and all of our HVAC needs.

He then went above and beyond but I don't want to be specific because I wouldn't want anyone to expect that level of service every single time - I certainly didn't expect it! The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! I almost fell for this trick. But as he pressed me to make an appointment, he asked me what kind of a/c unit I have, which is an odd question for someone who has worked on our equipment previously. I then asked him directly, "Have I done business with you before?" No response. So I asked again. No response. It turns out, I have no record of doing business with Conrad Heating & Cooling, because we have never done business with this company! I told him I would not be scheduling anything with Conrad. This representative didn't even know what type of unit we have, confirming there was no prior relationship. The familiar tone of the initial text was a deliberate tactic to create a false sense of trust. And I find that very offensive! I'd encourage other homeowners, especially seniors who are frequently targeted by this kind of approach, to read unsolicited texts carefully. If a company implies they've worked with you before, ask specific questions before agreeing to anything. In this case, the deception became obvious very quickly.
