We used Champion Forest Self Storage for all the stuff we moved from California and could not fit…read morein our temporary apartment. No complaints, the storage locker was accessible, the price reasonable, the location convenient for us. You do have to supply your own lock (common) and they do not pro-rate, so even though we moved our stuff out by the middle of the month, we still had to pay the entire month (no biggie). Their notice policy is only 10 days though. I'd recommend them.

We came by one night and accidentally shut the door but did not actually lock the unit. We got a call the next day saying the unit was unsecured so we could come by and fix it. I would come check this place out if you are looking for a storage unit in the area.

Yet if I go to their website for the same location that same space rents for $58 for a new customer. To repeat this has happened multiple times.

I have been a customer for 20+ years and loved the facility until it was bought a few years ago. I…read morerented 2 units at one time and have paid alot of money to this facility. Not sure who the new owners are but the woman that runs this facility needs lessons in customer service. I have had a few issues with her but the most recent was Feb 2024. I had fraud on my bank account and my bank froze my account. They reopened a new account and wrote a letter to my creditors so that I would not be held accountable for late fees and such. I called A1 mini storage to advise of my issue and the gentleman that I spoke with advised to send a check when I got my new ones in and to send the letter as well. Which is what I did. The woman at the facility called me and asked about the payment and I advised that I had just sent it in along with the letter. I advised what the gentleman had said, she started raising her voice and advised this was not her problem, that I needed to pay the $25 late fee. I told her that in all my years I had never experienced the lack of customer service that I have from her. She just started yelling. I really think she has a mental problem because I didn't see a reason for her to carry on the way she was. She was screaming at me and I couldn't say a word so I hung up on her. The times before I just assumed she was having a bad day but this is not an excuse. Needless to say I paid the late fee and am NO longer a customer. I will never advise for anyone to rent from these folks and I hope that many more will go elsewhere. Too many rental facilities in the same area to be treated this way. I paid 20-30K to this facility over the years and she acted this way over $25. Good Riddance to A1 Mini Storage.

Needed to reschedule a few days before and that was no problem. On the day of the move, the movers were on time, polite and helpful. Although it was raining, they accomplished the move quickly and safely and as promised. They were willing to wait if necessary until the rain stopped, but for our few items it was not a problem. Would definitely go with them again.

This company was not transparent with their rates. Additional guys showed up without my knowledge,…read morean additional moving truck showed up, again without my consent, & without even my knowledge until I noticed 2 trucks arrive at my new house. There was no estimate offered or maximum charge for the move, as (I discovered later) they're required to provide. There was no communication surrounding the moving supplies, their cost, no itemized list of supplies provided, only an arbitrary "supplies - $350" written on the invoice, nor even provided after the fact upon request. One of the company's partners, Scott, was unwilling to provide answers to my billing questions, it was difficult to complete a sentence without him interrupting me & making legal threats. The movers also destroyed my $5k mattress. When brought to Scott's attention, he blamed me for not inquiring about, nor purchasing, additional insurance coverage. The information, he claimed, was provided to me - it was not. There's a line to initial on the contract, to acknowledge receipt (which is blank), & that I was expected to flip through & read everything on the clipboard. I was expected to rummage through someone else's clipboard without any reference of its existence. Regarding the destroyed mattress, they offered me $150 for it. When it became clear that communicating with Scott would be unproductive, I requested to speak with someone else from the company but it remained unacknowledged until Scott suddenly ended the call. I've unfortunately had to consult with legal counsel to determine how to best further pursue it. This matter currently remains unresolved.

I was there with my children: an active 11 month old and a rowdy toddler; and he was very patient and kind with me even when he could see I was in a pretty stressful situation with my move. The storage units are clean, pest free and spacious. They didn't overcharge me or do anything shady, and honestly I've come to expect that from most businesses these days, sadly. When it came time to end my rental, another kind employee promptly sent me the paperwork and processed my move out painlessly. I'll definitely be using this location for any of my storage needs in the future and I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone for running things so smoothly over there. God Bless!
