I've used their services for years cause clearly i'll never learn my lesson. I've had nothing but bad experiences with them. Whenever i am looking for a job, i am asked to come in, fill out a job application and meet with their headhunters. But i've used their services multiple times. Why is my info not saved in your database? The odd part is, i keep getting asked to come and interview with the same headhunter over and over again. You've met me already. How many times do you need to look at me to perform invisible biased? This means judging me by my looks, height, weight, ethnicity, and whether i am perky enough to send out, etc. It goes on and on. Here is the thing, if they want to collect resumes to sell them to third parties for $$ (allegedly) they should say so. Its so pathetic, unproductive, and just an insult to constantly waste my time and yours to provide false hope. This place is so packed and busy because they are so skilled at creating this illusion they are in high demand with tons of jobs, as if they are placing jobs for everyone in all of NYC and some parts of NJ. That couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth. They are actors getting a paycheck to appear as busy bodies. Sign me up. I wanna get a paycheck and do nothing all day. The last time i was in here, i let the headhunter have it. I called him out on his BS. I told him: Do you seriously want to get me a job or just waste my time? Do you want commission $$ or not? All you do is collect resumes. I've used your services so many times and its been nothing but a dead end. You don't think its odd the last 4 times i used you, i ended up getting a job all on my own? He gagged in silence and just couldn't take my brutal honesty. I wonder how he pays his rent because he surely is not helping anyone in the 5 boros land a job. To close things off, i ended up finding a job all on my own the last 5 times that i was in the market. That is 5 times they missed out on their commission $$ (thousands of dollars). Here is the thing, i am your secondary client. The firm you are recruiting for is your primary client. I get that. But when i send an email asking for a status update, i expect a response. Typing: NO UPDATE is easy. No one is asking for their first born child or a blood sample. I drop to drop everything for them, but they can't type a 5 second email to provide a status update? Really?!? Every time i ask if they are working on any new jobs, i get dead air. This firm really has a pair of elephant sized balls. How they don't bleed when he walks is beyond me. Just unbelievable. I wish them well even though they missed out on commission $$ 5 times in a row. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Although I have yet to find a job, the recruiter I'm working with is definitely a gem to work with. She's always calling and emailing to find out how my job search is going and to give me details on new job openings. She has already gotten me 2 interviews. I interviewed for one job I didn't really like but she found me another interview at another company not long after that. Let's see how this 2nd interview goes...

First off he's been doing this a very long time and is a pioneer in NJ for this industry. He was kind and understanding of the frustrations of job hunting. He's a extremely knowledgeable, and his advice alone was invaluable. I got my resume back after a short time, and all I can say is, "Wow." It looked amazing. My new resume gave me the jumpstart I needed. I felt like a new man. Since he redid it, I got two interviews that I almost certainly wouldn't have got with my old resume. I figured that this was the way that resumes are being done nowadays. After 1.5 months of sending out resumes, the only people that were responding back to me were recruiters and temp agencies (in three weeks of using the resume that I'd created myself, before I had Tom re-do my resume, I had two interviews), not actual employers. Three of the recruiters that reached out to me all suggested that I change the format of my resume. I reached out to Tom and explained the situation and he never responded. I reached out to him a few more times and again, no response. It was only after I threatened to leave negative feedback on the internet did Tom respond. Tom said that there was a medical emergency in the family that he was dealing with and that he would get back to me shortly. Three more weeks go by before I (not Tom) reach out. Again, no response. When I received the final copy of my resume, I had asked Tom at that time if I wasn't getting any responses from potential employers, if he would re-work my resume, just like all the reputable resume writing companies do. He said that he would. Apparently, Tom lied to me. Because of this, I can not and will not recommend Tom to write anyone's resume. Unfortunately, before I realized that my resume wasn't relevant, I had recommended Tom to a fellow job seeker. Beware.

Resumes are about promoting your brand; she took my mundane resume and highlighted my accomplishments in both marketing and training. We spoke on the phone and communicated through email and she replied back almost instantaneously; if she didn't, she still replied the same day within a few hours. Now I'd been doing so much interviewing of other people in the past few years, I forgot what it's like to be the interviewee. Even before I paid Rebecca she sent me a worksheet of how to prep for an interview; most common questions, best ways to really examine your career and how to articulate who you are to the interviewer (sometimes we tend to over complicate or over think things, with this you do not- Much Thanks Rebecca!) In about a 2 days after she sent me the final copies of both my resumes and made some suggestions as what realistic positions to apply to; I got phone calls, did some interviews and found a job in about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks- I start next Monday! I didn't have to contact her once to make any changes to either resumes. I definitely would recommend her to anyone; a lot of companies/people out there only do this virtually so if you're like me and think, "How can I trust anyone over the internet?" Well you can trust her!

They're a legal temp/perm agency with a small staff but a very large attitude…read more The president of the company made derogatory and insulting remarks to me during a phone conversation after I sent an email on my brothers future absence for a temp assignment. As the official employer of my brother, it is their duty to contact the client and notify them that the temp will be unavailable and ask if they would like a replacement. Mr. Hadley called me to say my brother "is a big boy and should call himself." Additionally, having the agency call the client "is bad judgment. You made a stupid judgment." When I informed Mr. Hadley that I called because my brother is in the middle of a family emergency, he said "I don't care. Stupid judgment on your part to think I would call." And quickly hung up the phone. I'm concerned that this sort of language, disrespect and lack of professionalism is being quietly endured by other temporary employees hired through his agency. Unless Mr. Hadley starts taking sensitivity training, who knows what other denigrating behavior is going on at that office.
