They're a legal temp/perm agency with a small staff but a very large attitude. The president of the company made derogatory and insulting remarks to me during a phone conversation after I sent an email on my brothers future absence for a temp assignment. As the official employer of my brother, it is their duty to contact the client and notify them that the temp will be unavailable and ask if they would like a replacement. Mr. Hadley called me to say my brother "is a big boy and should call himself." Additionally, having the agency call the client "is bad judgment. You made a stupid judgment." When I informed Mr. Hadley that I called because my brother is in the middle of a family emergency, he said "I don't care. Stupid judgment on your part to think I would call." And quickly hung up the phone. I'm concerned that this sort of language, disrespect and lack of professionalism is being quietly endured by other temporary employees hired through his agency. Unless Mr. Hadley starts taking sensitivity training, who knows what other denigrating behavior is going on at that office. read more

I'll be honest I went here in November and I really believed they would get me placed in a job in no time. They did help me revise my resume and gave me some tips and when they asked me my current salary requirements - I told them - and also explained that I would negotiate due to the economy if a good opportunity arose and paying my requested salary was an issue. The owner (Robert Hadley) actually told me "No, don't change your salary requirements we will definitely find you something." I listened and I've been in email contact with two associates ever since and they keep saying "oh, we have you in mind" or "don't worry this takes time." I can't help but to laugh at how my confidence in them has taken a total 180. I remember going back home that day and telling my fiance that this agency was so great and personal and I thought they would have me a job in no time. Boy, was I wrong. Quick background: I have 7 years in litigation support as a paralegal (so I did go there with many qualifications). Spent over an hour there, even edited my resume the same evening (assistant manager told me that it was much improved and that was 3 months ago). Nothing ever panned out. As a matter of fact, I never even went on one interview from them. I don't know how they stay in business. They have about 5-6 people working in the office and I've been in touch with 2 of them up until January when they ceased correspondence with me. I was always polite and cordial but never a single opportunity in over 3 months. I thought the purpose of these agencies was to find you a job so they can collect commission?? They allegedly had "so many potential job opportunities when I went there" but I never saw one once I left. Disappointing! Also researched them a little bit online (after the fact) and voila! I recently put my resume online and was contacted by Amanda Weintraub of Robert Hadley Associates. She was nice and told me that she was going on vacation but after I took the required ProveIt tests they require to test your computer and legal skills I should contact Donna Buro. I had difficulty taking the tests because the tests require a PC and can't be taken on a Mac, which I have. I tried taking them at the library but they take a while and because of 1 hour time constraints on the computers and other people waiting to use them I couldn't complete them. I nicely emailed Donna and told her about this. I asked if she could tell how my skills were based on the tests I did take, and if maybe I could come into the office to take the others. She rudely answered me back that I should call her. I've called 3 times now and left messages and she hasn't called me back. This was over a week and a half ago. I have a good personality and resume so I don't understand the lack of decency in not calling me back. If you can't return my call then you shouldn't be doing business. It's totally unprofessional. I also think that if a recruiter isn't calling you back then they generally don't care about what they're doing and won't fight to get you into a good Firm. I should have listened to other colleagues who told me to avoid them but I took the chance. Don't make the same mistake I did. There are so many other great places. Try Yorkson Legal and Talenthub Worldwide. Both are great agencies with hardworking and professional recruiters. read more
