I had some issues and called them back 4 months later but because everything was written down and clear it was easy to pickup. Brenda from the office handled scheduling and on the first day for the posts silvestre came with the crew. They did a solid job it seems. Dug out the old posts and put new ones in. They came back a week later for the retaining wall. The ground was tougher than they thought but they powered to it. Did not deviate from the pricing and the quote. They were not the cheapest but they are clear and straightforward to work with. That's important to me. I would use them again.

I have no complaints about the fence. They finished everything in one day. With that said, I am deducting a star because the crew tripped my breaker box. They plugged in a battery (Milwaukee? It was red. See photo) to the outlet I had a licensed contractor install to a recent closet extension in my backyard. I'm not sure how they even found that outlet as it's not close to the shared fence and is hidden by the A/C unit. I'm also not sure why they were that deep in my backyard when they were just supposed to be working on installing the new fence. If they had simply asked for permission to plug in the battery, this wouldn't have been an issue. I saw the battery charging as I was checking on the progress of the fence throughout the morning and thought nothing of it. It wasn't until that evening where I noticed that all the outlets in the back room didn't work that I started questioning the reason for the outage. After racking my brain and attempting to reset the breaker box, it dawned on me that it was because one of the workers was charging their battery. I don't know the voltage of the battery that they were charging, but it was too much for that outlet. They should've just used an outlet from my neighbor.

Used The WARRANTY 3 Years Later, Read This Review:…read more I'm so impressed by how Marvin has a customer first company! (2023) Back Story: In 2023 our back fence fell over in a storm. On the recommendation of a few neighbors, I had Marvin at Finesse Fence come out and give us a quote. When he came out to give a quote he gave a handful of ideas and pros and cons of each. He basically helped us choose what was best for us. Decided to go with Marvin and scheduled. His guys showed up on time! The work was great and his guys were extreme professional! The removal, install and clean up were all done with 5 star service. (2026) BUT Here Is Why I Wrote My First Review On Yelp Today: This past week I noticed a split in a panel and wanted to see if the warranty would handle it. Text Marvin, he called me back and set up a time to come out and look the next day. Arrived on time the next day and not only said yes he wanted to fix that panel against the warranty but he also had a look at the rest of the fence while he was there and saw a few posts that were structurally fine but were cracking, which he felt was too soon. So without even asking, Marvin said since my guy is going to be here for the panel I'm going to have him install a few posts using the warranty. You hear of companies who say ya give us a call if anything is wrong we'll come out and fix it. And most the time it's just words. Marvin really believes in making sure the customer is taken care of! He had two times I could choose from for his guy to come out. The next day or the following week. I choose the next day. His guy showed up and changed out the panel PLUS a few more. And changed out the posts. At the very least get a quote from Finesse Fence so they can tell you your options and know the removal, install and clean up or just the beginning of their 5 star service. Finesse Fence has a real warranty that Marvin will happily use if necessary to make sure his customer is so happy he would even write a yelp review for the first time!

Marvin (the owner of Finesse Fence), stood out over all our other quotes. As soon as Marvin left, my husband and I were certain we were going with Finesse Fence for our project. Hector and his team were always on time and left our home spotless at the end of the day. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was exemplary! We are beyond thrilled with the results, and it turned out better than we could have imagined! Marvin and his team are truly customer focused and we can't say enough about all the extra steps to ensure we had a quality build. We can't thank Marvin, Hector and the team enough!! Top quality starting from our on site quote to the finished product. If you want a worry -free project, hire Finesse Fence!!

We had a fairly complex situation to replace our entire fence and add gates which required coordination with five neighbors. It was a high-quality experience from the first point of contact with owner Darrin Petzer to our engagement with foreman Serafin and the entire team. Darrin was always accessible and very thorough with his replies from start to finish. QUALITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP: their commitment to quality is evident. They chose high quality lumber and their attention to detail to craft a beautiful end product is stellar. PROFESSIONALISM AND COLLABORATION: they listen carefully and solicit input to collaborate and make sure the end result is on point. They were professional every step of the way and offered suggestions to enhance the finished product. New ideas included a screen to "hide" recycling bins and premium locking latch devices for gates. TEAM DYNAMICS: it's a special team at Pacific Fence. You can tell when a team enjoys working together. Their energy and laughter was evident throughout the week-long project. They were early to work each day, diligently worked and finished ahead of schedule. They cleaned up thoroughly and left the worksite spotless. FINISHED PRODUCT: Pacific Fence transformed and beautified our home. We highly recommend them if you are looking for high quality craftsmanship with a great customer experience...and at a reasonable price. It was an amazing experience and we couldn't be more pleased!

Today I had my fence re-built by another fencing contractor only 4 years after Sevilla's Fencing first installed it. The fence just fell apart and disintigrated. The problems are numerous, first off they used poor quality materials. The wood was green and it shrunk over time. Next they didn't use enough boards for the job. There were gaps between the boards and the boards were stapled end to end so over time as they shrunk they finall just fell out. Today the other contractor informed me that they also didn't secure the base board and they only used about a 1/3 of the nails/screws they should have, and to top it off, they used the WRONG (smaller) screws! The fence is also crooked, but that pales in comparison to the rest of the issues. My neighbor who I share this fence informed me that she actually contacted Sevilla's a year or so back to complain and see if they would stand behind their work , but she was told by them that this was normal wear and tear and they wouldn't fix it. I am writing this as a warning to anyone who may also be looking at Sevilla's that they may want to get a few more quotes.

Trex, however, does have specific foundation requirements that support the boards and we needed our foundation updated. We met with 3 companies all of whom had good reviews/referrals. We chose California Fence primarily because of Bill. This may sound silly but part of the reason is because when he come over to meet with us and provide a quote, he was covered with dirt and sawdust, which reinforced what he was telling us - He is on the job working with his crew all day unless running out to do a quote. He listened to our needs and gave us experienced feedback. We had a medium sized tree which needed removing and killing, which he also did, and he needed to work around a gas line to our fire pit. We liked his attention to detail and his straight to the point matter. After answering our questions he immediately brought out his tape measure, little book and pencil and worked out a quote. His crew is composed of his family and a couple of family friends that have been working with Bill for years. They were all very friendly and respectful and seemed to share Bill's attention to detail. Bill and crew were always available to us and responsive to any questions we may have had. We were impressed with the quality of their work. When they were done we had a beautiful new Trex deck and the area was nicely cleaned up. We are very pleased and are happy to recommend California Fence.

We went with Marquez Fencing because they were very knowledgeable and responsive. Our fence and gate look great, exactly as the mockup Rick provided. The materials were great also. We now have a higher and sturdier retaining wall. We will use them again for our fence on the other side of the house once we are ready. Highly recommend.

My Project: 2 Gates, Side Fencing, Board on Board 6 Feet, Metal Posts Upgrade, Con Heart Picket…read moreUpgrade I believe this company can build a great wood fence with wood posts. They work efficiently and their pricing is competitive. I didn't even mind that they ate a persimmon from my tree without asking! However, I cannot recommend them for wood fences with metal posts. 1. Insufficient Attention to Metal Post Protection Metal posts are an investment intended to provide long-term durability. The installation did not demonstrate the level of care I expected. A. Inadequate corrosion prevention - The exposed metal edges required appropriate zinc-rich protection to help prevent corrosion since they cut the pre-galvanized, powder-coated posts in the field. This was discussed and agreed upon beforehand, but the crew did not arrive with zinc spray. I supplied my own can, but the crew did not follow the manufacturer's application instructions. They cut the tops, bottoms, and even both ends of the posts. I understand that fieldwork involves practical time constraints, but protecting exposed metal edges from moisture-related corrosion is particularly important. B. Poorly cut post ends - Cuts were uneven, preventing the post caps from sitting flush against the metal posts and leaving visible gaps exposed to the elements. C. Exposed screw hole - The crew made a screw entry hole but subsequently removed the screw, leaving the hole exposed. Ideally, they should have left the screw in place, or even better, use another post since this was their error. D. Incomplete treatment and early signs of rust - 13/15 posts were untreated with zinc and show signs of rust three days after installation. Hopefully, bottom cuts were treated. 2. Communication and Project Coordination Once the contract was signed, communication was slow for a fast-paced project. Responses often took more than two days. Lack of confirmation: I agreed to an October 29 installation date but never received confirmation that the crew would be arriving. I reached out to verify the appointment. They never responded to my October 23 question about how to prepare the area, leaving me to guess what to do beforehand. I ultimately decided against the staining upgrade because my questions about it went unanswered. Last-minute timeline changes: The estimated duration changed from two to one day without prior notification. As a result, I had to communicate my technical concerns the morning of construction rather than discussing and addressing them beforehand. Contractor should consider communicating important project milestones, such as installation date and 811 utility marking, so customers know what to expect. 3. Workmanship and Contract Verification A. Workmansip Example - The crew cut a hole in the pressure-treated lumber for my underground sump pump PVC pipe without first verifying the pipe's actual position. The pipe had shifted, so they cut the hole in the wrong location. They cut a second hole and covered the original mistake with a board. B. The contractor did not add the 3 inches of gravel specified in the contract. When asked, the contractor pointed to the gravel on the truck. I later reviewed my pictures and videos to verify. If the gravel was not necessary, I would have been okay since I want to be able to trust the professionals I hire. However, it is a matter of principle: if something is specified in the contract, it should either be completed or discussed with the customer before being omitted. The Pros 1. Fast quoting: They sent an estimator quickly, and the quote was detailed and highly competitive compared with the 4-5 other estimates. 2. Quick scheduling: I was scheduled within two weeks of signing. 3. Efficient execution: The crew arrived promptly, completed the project in one day, and did an adequate job cleaning up. 4. Accommodating: They used wet-mixed concrete at my request, addressed my concerns about cantilevering with a three-post design, and installed an extra board to close a gap near a gate. A few things prospective customers may want to consider: 1. Aesthetics: Don't expect flush screws or nails or flawless lumber. There will be minor scuffs, imperfections, and small missing chunks of wood. Be aware that nicks to powder-coated metal posts may require touch-up work. 2. Concrete and cleanup: Requesting wet-mixed concrete does not mean the crew won't pour additional dry concrete into the hole and mix it further. Post-hole dirt / debris are not included in their debris removal. If you care where they dump it, then let them know. 3. Utilities: The crew will use your outdoor water connection, so consider disconnecting it beforehand if you have concerns. 4. Point of contact: Direct your questions and concerns to the person who provided your estimate. I raised concerns with an employee in person, but my feedback did not appear to make its way back to my estimator. I will update if they reach out or any changes occur.
