I left my car there at approximately 8:30 - 8:45 a.m. I was told that they required the car for the whole day. I was called at approximately 3:40 pm informing me that my car would be ready by 4:30 p.m. While en route to their location from out of town I received another phone call from Motorwerkes at approximately 4:10 p.m. explaining that the services that I commissioned them to perform could not be completed, they were only able to complete the transfer case service, as their person who was tasked with my job, got "hung up on a brake job that took extra time". Now I did receive an apology, thank you, along with a interesting statement that "my car does not require the front and rear differential service until 90k". Now that may be true, but to me this appears as some form of justification to not do this part of the service when they are encountering an internal issue. The point is, whether I needed the service or not (and clearly you had no problem charging me for the transfer case component of the requested service) that excuse is irrelevant. So here's my position. I live out of town, I had my wife follow me to your business so I could get a ride back home, she also obliged to take me back to your business to pickup the car that we thought, by all intents and purposes was going to be completed. She expended gas and her time to do this for me. This was an inconvenience. Now I understand that things happen in business, I was a business owner for 30 years, but my curiosity piques wondering what happened in 30 minutes from my job supposedly being completed to partially completed? So with that said, I would have just gotten the job done. Whether it be an overtime scenario or an all hands on deck situation. I would go the extra mile, even if I lost money on the job, just to honour my commitment and to hold my reputation in good stead, but that's just me. I closing, they say first impressions matter. Clearly I've come away from this experience with the feeling that I don't matter.

I followed up after another week, indicating that I had heard good things about his shop, but my customer service experience wasn't very good. George got back to me right away saying they are very busy and wished his staff would come to work. I'm not taking my car to a shop where the owner blames his staff for his poor customer service.

Because the subaru has such a small market segment, there are only 2 subaru dealerships in Calgary, unlike if you own a Toyota or a Honda. So there's not a lot of choice for the subie owner. And I don't like both subaru dealerships for various reasons as I've dealt with both. All-Makes is owned and run by a guy who has previously worked many years as a tech at one of the subaru dealerships in town. So I'm comforted to know that my car is in good hands and this guy knows what he's doing. His rates are very reasonable. For a oil change and minor servicing (6000km), it costs $40 something which is pretty much the going market rate (unlike one of the dealerships who changes over $75 for the same servicing). I just simply got fed up paying almost double to one of the dealerships for similar or worse service. In fact, at All-Makes, they provide excellent service and are able to perform the servicing in a prompt manner. Because they are a small shop, they can better manage the schedules and are able to give you a better idea when they are able to finish the work. This is in contrast to the dealership where I paid double and they could never really "guarantee" that they could get the work done for me on time. For example, at All-Makes, I take the car in for the standard oil change and minor 6000-km servicing. I call in ahead of time and make and appointment. They know when I'm coming and they are able to bring my car in and work on it right away when I arrive. And I wait for my car while it's getting done for maybe 45mins or so. When I used to take my car to the dealership, I would drop it off at 7 AM in the morning (their techs start at 8AM), they'd give me a shuttle ride to work and I ask to pick up my car at noon. Every time, they told me, they wouldn't be able to guarantee that they could complete an oil change by noon. What kind of service is that?!?! It does not take 4 hours to complete an oil-change!!! After I discovered All-Makes, there's not a chance I'd ever take my subie back to the dealership for servicing.

Subaru specialists!…read more Good place, good prices. Ask questions as sometimes they can be, not so forthcoming, but if you engage them they are very knowledgeable. I have taken my car here twice, once for a check up before I bought it, and once for some repairs. They where spot on in the inspection. Identified every problem I would have with the car. Recently took it their for some repairs and the rate was extremely good, and they got it all right. They where also helpful in offering upgrade advice without ever upselling. Definitely taking my car there again!

I spent $157.50 at 2nd Repairer and another $107.50 at the 3rd Repairer {i now even have doubts about whether or not other of the repairs were necessary} which he has refused to reimburse me for and i reckon that his team forgot to spray the terminal with a good quality oxidation retardant after replacing it. This does not reimburse me for all of my time wasted traveling back and forth including bus rides and waiting in his office.

Had my 2017 F-150 XLT into a reputable Ford Dealership 3 times in one week to figure out why my…read moreEngine Coolant-High Temperature light was still coming on despite them replacing all the Radiator Hoses, thermostat and water pump. $2500 later, I was informed that possible Piston Head and/or Cylinder block compromise was evident because coolant was entering the combustion chambers but not fully diagnosed and it would be advised to purchase a new truck and they would give me a $8,000 trade-in for a vehicle with 173,000 klms on it. Left the dealership with my vehicle and talked to many people on this issue and the truck had a previous market value of $31,000 ( full leather decked out) but possible new engine for $20,000 might be needed. Called Cetus and got a diagnostic appointment set up. Turns out Head Gasket needed replaced, two piston heads got cleaned and machined up, timing chains re-adjusted, New Fazers needed, all coolants and fluids redone so including parts worth $7,300 and labour of $4,600, all in for $13,000. includes a 1 year - 20,000 klm warranty Truck is absolutely operating like brand new. Cetus Auto Shop took me through everything on the diagnostics and actually came in a $1,000 less than the quote. They kept me up to date on the 6 days they had the vehicle and the experience was the best I have every had when it comes to an auto repair. I am a bit of a car junkie as I have restored 2 vehicles but totally impressed how they delivered the information, their concerns and their solutions! Cetus gets it's on how to treat your clients! looking forward to getting another 4 years out of the truck!

Rather than just grabbing air, I thought I'd stop in at a garage and get air AND a re-torque. I went into the office and their first question for me was, "did we do the rim change?" No.. "then you need to go there to do the work". I had kids in the back seat and a super low tire that needed air.. they sent me on the road like that.. knowingly. Because they hadn't done the rim change..dangerous, petty. Ridiculous. Re-torquing lug nuts has never been a difficult thing for me to get done at a random garage I'm driving by. Air.. that's a safety thing. Shame. I will NEVER recommend this garage. Very petty. Would have take 5 minutes tops.
