I have an older vehicle (14 year old Honda Element) and he could easily sell me on things I likely wouldn't need for that reason. He does the opposite actually - tells me what can wait, what needs doing now. And his prices are astonishingly lower than anything I'd seen at the dealership (he's certified) and lower than any other mechanic I've spoken to. He's shown me the parts he's changed, leaves the car up on the lift to go through the service work with me and takes the time to explain everything to me.
