The item wasn't labeled with a price so the cashier called someone to ask for the price and just spat out some random number. I haven't had such bad experiences with the creepy guy, but I totally knew who the other reviewers were referring to. I did get creep vibe from him whenever I come in, so I have always avoided him. I know that having things behind glass and the counter is par for the course in an old school Brooklyn store, but it does put me off since I never feel comfortable asking for anything. The store is packed with stuff, which means they probably have at least something you need, but it is extremely hard to navigate. I have gotten a bunch of keys made, but I have been trying to get my mail key copied for months. Every time I come, I am told they don't have that key template and will have it in next week. I've gone in many "next weeks" and they always tell me the same thing. It's really annoying. The prices are jacked up, but sometimes I am in a jam and can't go all the way to Home Depot in BedStuy.

I drove there in the morning and arrived at this store on the time that they supposed to open but they were late. Then I asked about the stuff I want, and they show me. Yes, they carry tools of the common variety, as well as the household goods you've probably come to expect from any respectable discount store in the immediate vicinity. Prices are understandably commensurate with the quality of their wares, so you'll definitely save money if you need tools for a quick fix, but maybe less so if you're building an heirloom toolbox to pass on to your handy little offspring. So, it's really the moniker that prompts me to return here over any one of the multitudes of 99-cent stores. Well played!
