Really great hardware store, very excellent for keys and locks, but also good for everything else. Nice employees, they know alot about their hardware and common apartment plumbing and such Dont go to home depot when you have this place. read more

This is a convenient neighborhood hardware store. The cashier was friendly and greeted us when we walked in. We were looking for a few pest control products. He gave us directions on where to find the items in the store. They had a decent selection. They were pricier than what you'd find online, but a good option if you need something right away. read more

Florama Hardware - Some of the goodies I bought, also got flex seal and nuts for a cart I'm putting together. Win - Hardware Stores Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Long before Home Depot became a household name there was Florama. This was the store where you could get anything and everything that you needed for your home repair. Well those days are gone and now Florama is a just a place to get ripped off. Their products are sub standard and most likely won't be what you need for the job and you will end up pissed off that you wasted time and money. The staff that work there are RUDE and lack any real knowledge of the hardware business. The store is old and a harsh reminder of a place that should be put out to pasture. I needed a shade. I had the exact measurements and even after I went there three times, it still didn't fit. I was told that I couldn't receive a refund nor could I receive a store credit. First i placed the shade in the garbage but then I left it in the store and they can hopefully stick it somewhere. While I was there, I witnessed the cashier or owner or whatever his position was speaking harshly to a customer who only wanted to have a key made, then refused to serve him. This should never happen and shouldn't be accepted. The end result is this. Take a trip to a reputable hardware store. One that provides excellent customer service, quality products, refunds or exchanges and staff that won't abuse the customer. This should never be allowed. read more

Great hardware store they have everything you looking for. From paint, plumbing and tools.

My youngest son went to this hardware store with his bike to buy a wrench to fix something on his bike. One of the staff assisted my son and gave him a wrench that supposedly would work. My son purchased the item but never left the store. He tried to see if the wrench was the correct size by putting it on the nut on the bike and it wasn't working. My son then told the man at the register that the wrench is not working and asked can he get his money back. The man started yelling and cursing at my son, took the wrench back at kicked my son out the hardware store. Mind you, my son is a very timid kid who does not disrespect anyone. My son came home with just a receipt and explained to me what just happened. Being the mom that I am, I went to the hardware store and tried to speak with this man respectfully. He was not only disrespectful to me but was very arrogant. I asked him if he has children and how would he like if someone would treat them the way he treated my son and cursed them out! I also said what happen to the customer is always right? I then told him, you not only disrespected my son but you also robbed him by taking the wrench he paid for and kicked him out the store! I asked him for the wrench my son paid for although the purchase was not the right one and told him that I will be taking legal actions. This man then asked if I was threatening him. I said, I'm not threatening you but promising you that I will be taking legal actions! Point is that it's not about the $7.50 but rather the disrespect of cursing my son out, taking the wrench he paid for and throwing him out the store!!! This man has no customer service skills or manners for that matter and should not be working there! He has heard the last from me!!!! I will definitely be taking legal actions because this here is worth it!! Maryann L. read more

I moved my set design/fab business a couple blocks away from this place a year ago. given proximity I use this place for the quick hardware hookup and hey they advertise as having Benjiman Moore paints. I've spent thousands of dollars here over the past year in spite of the fact they are rude to everyone I send in. After they gave an assistant gloss gunmetal grey paint promising it was satin black and wouldn't return it I have to say I'm done here. I even took the dried paint tray in and asked the manager what color he thought it was. He said black... I wouldn't go back here even if I needed a quick solution to a failing shower curtain rod. If you're in the area and need hardware go to Crest. Need paint? Klenowskis... read more

Super helpful and cut keys well! Good prices and knowledgeable staff.

I used to spend a couple hundred dollars a year here. No more. Not only are they usually out of everything, and charge $2+ more for each item over any other hardware store, but this just happened: I bought an extension cord, and tried to return it within minutes when I found my own at home and no longer needed the new one. $11.98 with receipt. Oh, and they also only have a 24-hour return policy, shorter than any business on earth. When I walked back in the door holding the same bag and receipt I had just walked out with, the older woman at the counter accused me of opening it, using it, and re-folding it back into the packaging incorrectly. She actually pulled it out of the packaging to show me, and was using this new unfolded position as evidence against me. I did not use it, open it, unfold it, do anything with it but walk away and back into the store with it. Hope your $11.98 was worth it, because you just lost a few hundred a year from me, plus the new word of mouth I'll be offering. Talk about a way to treat customers and loyalty. read more

Guys. Please don't deceive people on the phone. I ask for a very specific item with all the dimensions necessary to confirm it, you say you have it, I show up 15 minutes later, you don't have it. Yes, you can politely offer suggestions of how to jimmy-rig the set-up I need with a bunch of mismatched parts which you do have for sale, but this is not the same thing. Visually it's ugly and practically it's more expensive to buy several imperfect things than one solid object which solves the problem. These were nice, friendly people, but it was obvious that it was more important to get me into your store at the cost of honesty than it was to be accurate. Fortunately there was a FBI (Female Body Inspector) agent there to help me, with the official tshirt, so you know he's qualified. read more

Just went back to Florama, hadn't been there in over a year, and it was even better than I remember it. I highly recommend this local hardware store! read more

This place is great! They always have the right sized screw, nut or bolt that i am looking for (I can't count how many times I have gone to home depot and left without what i needed because they are terrible at keeping hardware in stock). They have a surprisingly good variety of hardware and supplies, and for really reasonable prices. The staff is always around to help, and they are really nice, down to earth guys. read more

I lost my pair of keys so I made copies of my spares here. They did it for maybe around 25 cents to a dollar a key. I'm not entirely sure I don't remember. Either way it won't break your bank and each pair worked perfectly fine. I recommend this place for that purpose. The service isn't memorable hence 4/5 but they got me in and out so that is worth noting. read more

They are prejudice. They don't treat people if color well, very ignorant and unhelpful.
