If you are looking for a general contractor service that is smart, responsive, and respectful, look…read moreno further. When we contacted TNTS with our project, I had the pleasure of speaking with Sally, who was extremely kind and polite. She was able to schedule a consultation that day!!!! I was very excited that they had the time to see my property so quickly. Leslie worked with us as the general contractor, and she was so kind and considerate. My wife and I felt so comfortable speaking with her about the project, and she was comfortable as well. It was very easy to tell her what we wanted to do and why we wanted to do it, and she was very receptive and thorough. Once I received the quote, though, my jaw dropped.....The price was considerably less than I had expected!!!! I thought this would have easily been a $10k job, but to do it all for $5800, I thought there was a mistake. And to add even more thrill to the whole scenario, they were able to start work THE WEEK AFTER our estimate was made!!! I have worked with general contractors before and I have never had an experience like this, in a positive way! When the work started, the contractors that were sent to our site worked fast however very professional. They did all the work to code and they cleaned up afterwards. Ron, the carpenter that had worked with us during the replacement of the columns and the stairs, was very friendly and easy to work with. He had even made some suggestions that had saved us some money, which we were able to shift to rebuilding the stairs at the bulkhead (which wasn't part of the contract, but they were happy to do it!). Chuck had been the contractor that installed our ceiling vent, and God bless him! He did a great job, even though the heat had been brutal in the attic initially. The project was divided into 2 days because he didn't have a ladder long enough available at the time to access the vent in the exterior of the house, but they got that turned around very quickly as well. Through the whole project, any concern I had I brought up with Leslie and she was very professional and reactive. This company works to please their customers, and not condescend or cut corners to pad their pockets. Believe it or not, even when it came time to request payments when scheduled, they were extremely kind and respectful. My experience with TNTS had been so positive, and the work had been done so professionally and cost-effectively, that my wife and I decided not to sell the home as intended. Once we found a great contractor, and started to customize the house to our liking, we realized that it's a great place to stay. It's a great feeling to know that we have a contractor on our side to help us with home renovations, because we will be using them again, and again, and again!!! Thank you TNTS!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Top Notch Transitional Services. My parents have been hoarders…read morefor many years and had managed to fill up their entire 2 story house with their collections. At this point, the house was in an unlivable state, with very little area to even walk or sit and the air quality was very bad. When my Father was hospitalized, the situation came to a head because he was not going to be allowed to go back to the messy house. This left us with a situation in which we had to clean out the house, and very quickly. Due to the size and scope of the problem, we knew this was not something we could handle on our own and we were going to need professional help. After exploring many options, we finally settled on Top Notch. They explained a process where they sort and organize all the items while working with the client to make sure they are not overwhelmed by the process. At the beginning, it was very difficult on my Mom, however, they assigned a wonderful project lead, who was not only capable, but also very personable and friendly. Together, she and my Mom were able to develop strategies for cleaning out the house. Brandon, the owner, was always very responsive and he seemed genuinely concerned about doing things the "right way", even it would take his team more time. The whole process took about 3 and a half weeks. Brandon and his team delivered what was promised and the price we paid was the price which was quoted to us at the start. We were amazed at the results. It has truly been a life changing transition for the entire family and we could not have done this without the help of Top Notch.

California Closets did not know their product and essentially tricked me into paying for something…read moreI explicitly said I did not want. Guaranteed I would get a specific item, installed the wrong one after I paid the deposit, which included cutting/modifying my existing space. They then informed me that the product they promised does not exist. They refused to refund me my deposit and would not respond to my request to take out the wrong item and repair my space.

STAY AWAY! California Closets is a disaster! The most disorganized, incompetent, mismanaged and…read moredishonest company in the closet industry. We do not post negative reviews frequently, HOWEVER, after over 13 months of dealing with this company we have an obligation to post this review to warn others. Please understand we are not difficult customers. We're easy to deal with, have positive attitudes, and willing to pay premium rates for quality products and services... but this was a nightmare! Signed a contract for 9 large closet systems, for a significant sum, for our vacation home in Connecticut thinking we were paying premium pricing to deal with a professional and reliable business. Almost immediately issues began, too many to list here, so we'll summarize below. Misleading: Salesperson (Erica Heath) promised hardware and finishes not available, despite promising she verified everything before taking our money. This later required several compromises on our part. Salesperson promised to be onsite during installation but never showed, then was rude and unresponsive as issues arose. We were forced to communicate directly with an installation coordinator, among others. Forced to wait 5 months to receive our hardware compromise options (by email), and only after our countless follow-ups. Installation & Oversight: This business has systemic issues stemming from incompetence, lack of oversight and indifference. Installation took 10-months longer than promised. None of our issues were due to supply chain delays, they were all due to misleading business practices, botched installations, manufacturing errors, lack of basic quality control and management. The problems were so numerous, constant, and egregious, we were forced to contact First Service Brands (parent company to California Closets) who put us in contact with a regional manager (Greg Stamuli . We were hopeful to deal with a professional adult, but unfortunately the issues just continued. Most installers showed up drunk or stoned, smelling like weed, and several admitted they had no experience (friends of installers that "couldn't make it"). Numerous botched installations, including damage to our home, FIVE re-installations intended to resolve issues, which caused additional issues, including wrong color drawers, incorrect hardware, wrong color hardware on hanger rods, drawers with obvious incorrect dimensions, incorrect hardware, broken hardware, etc., but installed anyway (while we were out of town) in hopes we would not notice. Three rescheduled installations due to components being manufactured incorrectly (wrong color, wrong handle configuration) or damaged, and at least one complete no-call/no-show. As clients, we were forced to micromanage issue resolutions as if we were parenting irresponsible teenagers. It was exhausting and very costly. Truly the worst experience we've ever had with any company. To put that in context, we own 35 single-family home rental properties, so you can imagine the number of contractors we're used to dealing with, and the level of patience and understanding we have with "normal" issues. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Absolutely love my new closets! I was referred to CT Professional Closets from a colleague of mine,…read morewho used them to redo a closet in his house. He and his wife had nothing but positive reviews from their experience, and they both still love their closet (years later), so I decided to give Ken a call. Ken was great and very easy to work with. He came for an initial consultation and worked with me on designs that would help me get what I needed from my closets - I had three I needed redone (a hall closet, a bedroom closet, and a closet I needed to rework for use with my small business inventory). Ken was even able to work with me to design a bench to go under the window in my bedroom that would add needed storage to the space. At the consultation, Ken had samples of all the different colors and finishes available and took measurements of everything so he could make an accurate design proposal. He also took the time to answer all my questions around material durability and how I could best use the space. He was very knowledgeable about different setups and offered suggestions on how to utilize every inch of space for my needs. Even taking measurements of the length of my longest coat and the height of my vacuum so he could factor those into the height needed for hanging space and a cubby for my cleaning supplies - something I may not have considered right away if I was designing a closet myself. After the consultation, he sent me a design proposal showing the proposed layouts for all the closets and window bench as we had discussed. One view was a visual mock-up of the designs to help me visualize the space, and the other was a spec view with all the measurements of the design. I was also getting the closet doors replaced (using another company) and when I discovered that the middle section of drawers on one of the closets was going to run into the new sliding doors, Ken quickly worked with me to update the design and shifted the layout of the drawers so there would be no issues getting them open. Once I approved the design and placed my deposit, Ken got the design ordered quickly with the manufacturer and was able to give me a date for installation (which was the actual date of installation). Even though I had to wait a bit to get my new closets (due to longer lead times from the manufacturer still arising from the pandemic), Ken was very upfront about the timeframes, and I can say now that the closets are installed that it was well worth the wait. On the day of installation, Ken and his team were very professional. They arrived early and got everything up to my apartment so they could start on time - which may not always be the case given NYC traffic, but thankfully worked out for me. Before they got started and brought any of the materials into my apartment, they placed protective blankets not only in front of the closets, but all the way from the front door to the closets so that my floors would be protected the whole time. I had an old closet system that was getting replaced and Ken was able to remove the old system and disposed of it for me, so I didn't have to worry about doing that myself. Installation went quicker than I thought, and Ken made sure that the system was setup correctly - my floors are not level, so he made sure the built-ins were both level and structurally stable. Also, before drilling any holes for the window bench handles, he double checked with me to make sure I still wanted the handles in the position we had discussed in the design proposal. After the installation was completed, Ken and team got everything cleaned up - even sweeping and using a handheld vacuum to clean up any small debris from the area and making sure the space was as clean as when they arrived. Ken also did a walk-through with me to make sure I was happy with everything - he offered to adjust any of the shelves if I wanted to change the spacing from what was on the proposal layout and showed me how to adjust them myself if I decided later on to move them around. He also offered to come back and adjust anything after my new closet doors were installed in case I have any issues. It's been a few weeks now since the closets and bench were installed and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Ken and his team!

CT Professional Closets does not guarantee their work and product. Ken's team (which looked like 2…read morehigh school kids he got off the street) did a sloppy job with the installation. The closets were installed crookedly and the materials were not high quality and had chips on them. When we asked Ken to fix our issues by ordering new materials, he kept delaying until he decided to just outright ignore my emails and phone calls. Is this how a customer should be treated? Ken has now decided it was "professional" to block my phone number so I can stop harassing him to finish the work that his team failed to deliver on from over a year ago. In addition, when I called him using a different phone number today, he decided to pick up the phone and then professionally hang up. Again, is this how any customer should be treated? They may be cheaper than their competitors, but Ken does not deliver on his "guarantee" and should NOT BE TRUSTED or used for any closet work.

Kelly went above and beyond to help us make our new house a home. She has a detailed eye for color,…read moreand guided us to choose just the right paint colors for each room in our house. We were going for the farmhouse look and Kelly gave us the perfect color suggestions, which turned out better than we could have imagined keeping with light neutral tones throughout. In our home we also have vaulted ceilings, which we were struggling to find just the right decor for. Kelly really understood that less was more and helped us to find just the right statement pieces. For example, we have a wide open wall above our fire place and Kelly suggested using an antique window frame to break up the space. We would have never thought that would have given us the look we were going for, but it's simple and we love it! These are just a few of the many, many aspects of our home that Kelly assisted us with. We would without hesitation recommend KC Classic Designs LLC for any of your home design needs. She listens to what your vision and needs are and just runs with it! She is personable, timely and always got back to us in a timely manner.

Dismiss Clutter was able to come over, decide what were the most important areas of my apartment to focus on, and really help me sort through everything. She spares no expense of time or effort to make sure she does the job right! Together we pulled everything out of multiple closets and storage spaces, went through what I felt I needed, what I could donate, and what I was ready to part ways with. Then we reorganized everything in a way that just made sense. She was so professional, I never felt like she was judging me for all the things I had stashed away in my closets, or the things I wanted to hold on to. I found so many things I forgot that I even owned! Now I know where to find everything. Moreover, when I have something I need to put away, I now know exactly where to put it thanks to her recommendations and easy-to-follow organization. She has saved me time & energy looking for items I know I own, but can't quite remember where I placed them. Overall, I just feel better and more relaxed being able to look around and see how neat & organized everything is. I definitely recommend Dismiss Clutter to help you sort through all your belongings, organize everything, and get rid of what you don't need (she even takes all your items to donate/recycle herself!). I will certainly be using her services again.
