Abby is an unmatched talent! When she looks at a space, she truly has a natural vision of how it can be transformed. With our kitchen renovation she was confronted with an awkward existing layout due to a prior addition that didn't tie in. She instantaneously started iterating on how to design a more functional space that was highly in tune with our family lifestyle in meeting our needs for both everyday life and entertaining. She was able to discuss a variety of options for different budget considerations and we landed on a plan for our kitchen that I never thought would be possible. It's currently under construction and I can't wait until it's complete! When it came time to select the more detailed design elements and finishes, she prioritized understanding my style preferences up front so that she could maximize efficiency of the process. She worked with the absolute perfect balance of giving me choices vs. making recommendations on all of the little details so that I never felt overwhelmed but was also able to influence the outcome enough so that my kitchen plan feels like a total personal fit. I cannot overstate this part of the process enough because there are SO many decisions to be made and her expertise was truly priceless in giving me the confidence that all of the right decisions were made (while saving me literally hundreds of additional hours of browsing Houzz and Instagram kitchens to make sure that I wasn't picking a totally out of date look or one that wouldn't stand the test of time). Finally, on a personal level she is such a pleasure to work with! While she has a calmness about her that makes you realize everything is totally under control, she is also a naturally optimistic and happy person who made the process so much fun. We recently worked with Abby and The Inspired Kitchen to remodel our master bathroom, which was original to our mid-80's house. The bathroom had an awkward layout that also contributed to a mold and mildew problem (which bumped it up to # 1 on the priority list to remodel). Abby made some layout modifications to open up the shower area, and also incorporated additional storage into the new space. The entire process was pretty seamless from start to finish. Abby listened to what we wanted in terms of the look, and made great recommendations on finishes to make it a reality. All of the tradespeople who came to work on the bath were professional, left things neat and did great work. I don't know if renovations can ever be stress-free, but this one came pretty close. It's probably because we just sat back and let Abby work her magic and tried to stay out of the way (and I made a conscious effort to not second guess/change my mind on what we'd originally decided). The finished product is stunning and we're looking forward to enjoying it for years to come. We had The Inspired Kitchen perform a complete kitchen remodeling recently. The project involved demolishing our old 1964 kitchen cabinets, counters, backsplash and lighting. Abby and her crew did a wonderful job and we are very pleased with the outcome. There were a few hitches along the way - what project of this scope doesn't have something that arises. But Abby handled everything promptly and efficiently. Text messages were replied to almost immediately. All of the contractors Abby employs are friendly and competent. They arrived on time (a few exceptions) and left the job site clean when they left. Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome and will use The Inspired Kitchen again for future projects (we have a bathroom that needs demolishing). My husband and I are extremely happy with our kitchen renovation that was completed by Abby and The Inspired Kitchen. She was very attentive to every detail and communicated with us quickly if we had questions on anything. Her team is excellent and we would recommend them highly. Dean's Cabinetry are excellent as well who actually make the cabinets and was shown by John Dean his awesome workshop of where the our cabinets were going to be made. We had an artist who created our distress look to our cabinets to give it the "country look" whom did an excellent job as well. So pleased with my daughter's bathroom remodel. Abby gutted the original bathroom that was 27 years old and created a beautiful new oasis. She helped us select a fabulous combination of tiles in the color scheme we wanted and we are so pleased with the final result. We were also impressed with each contractor she brought in for the different phases of the job. They were all super nice, did their jobs beautifully and created virtually no mess. I had wanted to update my kitchen since moving in 4 years ago. It was (mostly) functional, but dated 40 years - think cranberry and knotty pine. I saw Abby's beautiful showroom on my way to yoga and grabbed her card. It was one of the best emails I ever sent! She got back to me very quickly and she created a design for me.
