She was super patient and detail-oriented and made me feel very comfortable asking questions and making changes (and I ended up making many changes!). They stuck to their appointment times, they always called to keep me updated for when workmen were going to show up, work was immaculate, and I love my new kitchen. Also, shout-out to Ahmed for being super chill when I very last-minute decided to change my countertop choice. Whatever you so DO NOT let granite &kitchen studios install your granite!!!!!! Let me state that I don't like to leave bad reviews ever I picked out a piece of granite remnant for a small bathroom remodel. Beautiful piece! They cut out countertop, side splash, back splash 2 thresholds and a shelf base all from same piece. The piece chosen had excellent veins and coloring. They came to install countertop side and back splashes. They took a big chip out of piece and decided to fill it in with caulk. Also globing a ton of caulk in all the joints. Clearly unprofessional!! They never informed myself or the GC of the job about the damaged they caused so this was all found by myself when I got home. Called and spoke with owner of business Ahmed and after discussing my displeasure with the installation and him agreeing with the poor job being done enough to say that he reprimanded the installers. He said I could come in that weekend and pick a new piece to cut out for the sink side and backsplash because the sink and slash were cut from same piece and flowed. I did not have a chance to get there that weekend due to work. When I called him back he told me he had changed his mind and that all he would do was replace the side splash that they damaged. This would be with another piece which would not look the same because it's from a remnant with a lot of veins and colors that flowed with the countertop, which could not be matched needless to say they will never be getting any of my business and I hope I hope you are wise enough to not make my mistake. One of our friend referred us to Granite & Kitchen studio.I have to be honest I was so happy with the decision. I wanted to re-do my kitchen so I went to The Home Show in Hartford a few months ago and connected with a few contractors. I did some research on review sites and had 1 come to my house for a consultation and estimate. We liked him and his work - but I also decided to drop into Granite & Kitchen Studio, LLC in South Windsor as they are around the corner from my house. I looked in their showroom, spoke with Devon and arranged for Ahmed to come give us a consult and estimate. The moment Ahmed started measuring, commenting and suggesting - I knew he was who I wanted to work with. BUT, I also sensed he'd be very expensive based on his approach to the project and others we spoke with. Guess what - a few days later when I got his estimate it was only slightly higher than the other, and if apples-to-apples on material was used he might be the same. I was psyched because it was within our budget, and I REALLY wanted to work with Ahmed and his Team. Snooping around his office at contract signing I noticed not 1, but 2 MBA's from UCONN - Engineering and Business, and he's an architect by trade....no wonder I thought he was such a quality partner! The experience was amazing from start to finish! On time, (started 1 day late due to Noreaster, but finished on time), within budget and the various artisans / craftsman that did the work were all excellent. I mean EXCELLENT. The demo guys (also painted, did tile, electric and trim work), Cabinet installer, Granite installers and Back-splash tilers were all amazing. They ALL showed up on time, did their work, were neat, clean and very pleasant and professional. Ahmed periodically stopped by to manage the project and other than 1 stressful morning when 3 contractors had challenges, all at once, it was smooth sailing and a super pleasant experience. I liked that Granite & Kitchen Studio has their own granite in their yard to pick from, has all the material and samples on site and has a retail showroom with knowledgeable staff to help. NOT the case with the other firm that came and would send me to Windsor to select my granite, and it would be cut elsewhere. I can't praise these folks enough for how they run their business and the quality of the work done by them and their sub-contractors. I wouldn't recommend using this company for sealing services. The team was friendly and arrived on time but simply did not do a good job. They did not do a good job cleaning the marble table or granite countertop before applying sealant. Last year I used Cromwell Granite & Tile. They did a great job cleaning and applying sealant; they also charge double the price. I guess the adage "you get what you pay for" applies in this situation. read more

Our experience with Granite & Kitchen Studio was right in line with all the 5 star reviews. Ahmed and his team were significantly professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. We had a new quartz countertop and backsplash installed and the project went extremely well. The quality of the product is exceptional and the cuts were made perfectly. From the showroom through our many questions to the actual installation of the project, every aspect went smoothly and on time. Marvin, the craftsman was talented and patience with the tedious backsplash pattern I had chosen and left the kitchen clean and tidy every day. The folks working in the showroom are very friendly and knowledgeable about the products, pricing and installation of their products. We found our shopping experience to be be very low pressure. We browsed the granite slabs in the yard and picked one out. The owner came out to our house to measure the layout of our countertop which has an odd angle. His measurements were spot on. The installers that came to install the countertop were polite and professional and did a fantastic job with the install and the seam is nearly invisible. It's been almost a year since we had our countertop installed and we are still very happy with it. So far no problems whatsoever. We did get other pricing when we were shopping and found Granite & Kitchen Studio pricing to be very competitive. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. read more

GRANITE AND KITCHEN STUDIO - SOUTH WINDSOR not a good experience...original piece of kitchen counter (near the stove) was broken by their mistake...we had to pick a new top. The new top had an extra seam we didn't want. The 2nd new top section next to the stove (seam) did not match the rest of he top...we rejected that part...they brought a 3rd section. This 3rd section was from a totally different piece and did not match. In addition the 3rd section was cut with big gaps next to the wall. An independent granite professional saw it and said it was shoddy work. Our tile person doing the backsplash said it would be difficult to fill that gap to fit the tile. They purposefully brought pieces not from the original lot. When confronted Ahmed insisted it was proper. The piece in question had traces of red threads going through it. The rest of our top does not. We know he baited and switched us.....shame....I will pursue further action through the St. of Ct. We accepted the the seam because Ahmed called us 2 days before the install date. We felt pressured to go with it, because the rest of our project had been booked (plumber, gas line install, tile floor etc.). To change any of those would have set the project back 4 to 6 weeks due to scheduling. Ahmed knew of the rest of our project and put us up against a wall.....very slick... The final piece installed was from a different lot and color...I have pictures showing that piece. It was one we saw early in the process and rejected because it had orange stripes thorough-out ...similar, but not the same...Ahmed switched it in the 3rd instillation...in addition, the piece was turned, installed in the wrong direction, against the grain and flow. An independent professional will testify to those facts. The total "discount" was $200 on a $4000. job... Ahmed knows he switched it, we know he switched it. All in an effort to save money from his mistake on the first slab...The only "extra mile" we would be willing to accept is a new countertop that actually matches from the same slab like the original one he broke, with all contractors necessary (plumbing, tile etc.) compensated...My pictures are end product. Notice the big gap by the wall. This is a businessman that should be carefully watched throughout your experience. Good-luck. read more

Just renovated our kitchen in November and went through this dealer because we wanted to steer clear of unprofessional work that Home Depot usually subcontracts. Unfortunately our experience with this company was less than desired, what I thought was going to be a smooth sailing operation quickly fell into a horror show. Our cabinets were first delivered on November 16, 2021 we noticed that there was damage to an already installed base cabinet, which was unable to be removed. We immediately contacted the manufacturer and Granite Kitchen studio. The only way to correct this was to rip the base cabinet out, damaging the floor and other cabinet in the process or replace the side panel. We waited for the replacement side panel. Countertops were measured and a discrepancy was seen, so the owner Ahmed came to correct it with the laser. He explained there was a 1/4 of an inch discrepancy in the system and that when installing the countertops, the installers would need to cut into the concrete backer board. He stated this would be no problem and to not worry. We thought wow, this is great service and he is taking pride in his work, informing the customer. Flash forward to the countertop install, they could not cut into the backer board and proceeded to slam the piece of quartz countertop on the cabinets, causing the back end of the lazy-susan base to splinter upward, making the countertop be higher at one end. Afterwards, they stated that the carpenter did not level the cabinets properly which is why the countertop did not fit. They also found that the countertop was too long and needed to be cut 1/4 of an inch, so they proceeded to grind the quartz countertop 2.5-3 feet from our 2019 Ram 1500 pickup, rather than on the grass located to the immediate right of the door. It did not occur to me when watching them that the "dust" would have pieces of shards flying backwards toward the truck. On November 30, 2021 when this happened Ahmed was very respectful and serious regarding the matter and stated he would speak to his installers immediately to hear what happened and reach out to my husband the following day. My husband had to reach out to Ahmed and he had a whole new demeanor than from the previous day. No apologetic demeanor and instead said, "No harm no foul, my guys are professionals". Once damage was confirmed, my husband and I had track down Ahmed repeatedly to address the issue of scratches and damage to the clearcoat of our vehicle. Finally addressing the issue over the course of a month, Ahmed told me to not be so emotional regarding the damage to the truck and to think of him as a father figure and learn from his past mistakes of getting upset. Be grateful for your family's health and brand-new kitchen. Now never once did I raise my voice nor be disrespectful to any of his employees, yet Ahmed just told me I am "The worst customer" Ahmed has ever had (01/13/22). To be labeled this is just uncalled for. What was supposed to be my dream kitchen filled with happy memories, soured quickly and is now tarnished by the unpleasant relations with Granite & Kitchen Studio LLC. This is just the highlighted version of my experience with this company, as there is a list of issues I have dealt with from November 30, 2021-January 13, 2022.
