Ridge way is a good place if your looking for a reliable used car and a good low price, or if you want to improve your credit or whatever the reason Robert (owner) & Ericson (co owner) are very patient and under standing and their to answer all your questions and accommodations with respect. I have bought 3 cars from here and mind you they did great after I left the lot and after a few months still nothing needed to be fixed or inspected, except my last one (most recent) I bought back in July of this year. I bought a 07 camry hybrid miles were kind of high around 150k but its not about the miles, its about the person who owns the car and how well they take care of it because I know a lot people who buy cars but don't care enough to take care of them, even if their used or new its always about the driver. Honestly though, no more Hybrid cars for me. Lol. Do keep in my mind if you are buying a used car from the car lot, if you find problems down the road, expect that it's not brand new and the problems are out of anyone's control they'll come and no one will see it coming but they will treat you with Aloha and recommend someone if you need the help! Their were a few problems along the way with my recent purchase and we were trying our best to resolve them as much as we could, in the end things worked out well. Everyone has a different experience but this is mines! Thanks again ridgeway for the great business! read more

My friend was shopping for a new used car and wanted me to go with her so she didn't get ripped off. After making all the excuses in the book of why I shouldn't go because I could just imagine feeling like one of those guys being dragged around by their girlfriends all over the mall but worse as we would have to play the game of having the salesperson go back and forth, back and forth and back and forth again to their so called manager to get an approval. Then if the deal went through sit in finance to have them try and sell some kind of warranty or service specials. Well guess what... I ended up going kicking and screaming and asking myself why me?!?!?! We went to two used car lots and yes just like I thought, the sales person went back and forth to the point I just told him, "look if you can't get this price OTD (out the door) with this kind of financing then lets not waste each other's time. (ok yes I dislike playing those games. yes or no please) Needless to say we left and right before entering the freeway and what I thought was my ticket to go get something to eat, my friend sees this used car lot. Truthfully I have passed by this place many of times and didn't pay much attention to them. She tells me to pull over and promises me this is the last place. Reluctantly I pull in. Looking around for a bit a salesperson comes out and greets us. He seemed nice, (don't all salespeople I thought to myself). Well he turned out to be very nice. She took the vehicle for a spin and he actually told her the good and the bad about the vehicle which kind of shocked me (a honest salesperson hmmmm). After all was said and done, he crunched the numbers and got her the financing she wanted and I got to go home hungry. Don't let the dirt lot fool you as this place my be no frills but they offer great service, pricing, and financing. I would of gave them 5 stars but I like frills and didn't like the fact my car ended up dusty. read more

Ridge Way Motors - Grabbing a Porsche Cayenne - Car Dealers Near Me - Aiea, Hawaii

I was referred to Dave, the co-owner of Ridgeway by a friend of mine. When we showed up we were greated by both him, and his young son. They were all very honest and up front about the condition of their vehicles, they were very flexible on their prices. They also can offer financing! Dave allowed me to test drive three vehicles. There was no pressure to close a deal, and was very knowledgable. Lets hope this place sets the bar for other dealerships - honesty and sincerity go a long way! The best way to sell is not to over sell! and believe it or not for the first time in my life i had FUN shopping for a car. When we decide on our next purchase I am definately getting my car from here. read more

Haven't bought a car yet from them but came in here to check it out since I always drive pass it on my way to school. The owner is super nice and HONEST! I pointed out some cars I seen in the back that I was interested in and he was telling me that car has some problems and didn't want to sell it to me because his not like that. And then he pointed out the cars that are reliable and good to go. If you want an honest salesman to go to, come here. read more

No "BS". Just straight talk and to the point. The owners are the salespersons. They are helpful and friendly, not pushy and they let you take your time. You can leave whenever you want. They gave me a fair price. When I purchased a used Honda, it was fast and painless. They knew what they were doing. I had a "code" problem with the radio. And although I bought the car "AS IS", they sent me to a car radio shop and it was reprogramed and fixed without charge. Overall, it was a very good experience. Highly recommended! read more

Great service, great selection, and great prices. Bought an older Acura for my daughter, and they got me financed on the spot and the terms were pretty good. I'd definitely check them out if you're in the market for a good used car! read more

I called the place after reading one really good review on it on yelp. I asked Robert (the owner), if I would be able to buy a car and finance it with out paying a really high interest rate (last dealership we went to wanted to finance a 8,000$ car with a 23% apr. paying 269/mo for 48 months). He said to come down and fill out a credit report and he'll let us know within 10 minutes. He also said that it is likely we could get a car selling for 6k and under and pay about 200 for two years. When we got there, he did exactly what he said. We got some numbers with in ten minutes! We've been to three different car dealerships before this and OH MY FREAKING GOSH those other salespeople would keep coming back and forth with different monthly rates.. give us different deals.. the more we kept telling them no.. the better the deal got. I use to be a door to door salesman.. so i see right through their sleezy sales tactics. such as marking up prices.. and saying "hey just for you ill give a special discount" ugh whatever. one guy told us... 'since it's a newer model.. i dont get any commission." anyways my point is that Robert was nothing like that. He told us okay.. this is what the bank will loan you.. this is your monthly payments.. here are some cars that are within the price range.. no matter what you decide to get the numbers won't change... if you guys dont find what you like here then you that's okay too. He said don't worry.. I won't sell you a crappy car.. after all I buy them with my own money so I myself wouldn't want to get ripped off. He also said that when you buy a car from him he knows all about the car.. since he bought it and all... and other salesman only know what's on paper. Well gosh.. this review is really long lol. but anyways the owner is really awesome.. the service was awesome and I did not get ripped off! The retail value of the car online matches the price I paid for. All dealers should be like this! I can't believe I'm only the second review.. but hey the review before me was so right about the place. I will definitely be back again! Thanks Robert. -Joe, Cheniel && baby mai read more

I don't think they deserve a star rating. Bad experience. Bought an SUV and two weeks later the motor blew. All they could say was sorry about that but thing we can do. After taking it to a mechanic it look like they knew there was multiple things wrong with the car. Look like they had put a make shift gasket to cover up head gasket leak. Also spoke to he owner but never came through. Instead he left the island. Never recommending this place. They don't take care of their customers. read more

do not go here!! they sold me a car that was a pile of junk!! it only ran for a few days after i bought it then it broke down! i spent more money trying to fix it, than i actually paid for the vehicle!! if you want to get a good running vehicle i suggest you go to a real dealership...not to ridge way!! read more

the salesperson was very nice and knowledgeable, there was no pressure whatsoever to buy a car from him. my husband came in saying we want a car that's no more than $8000, we had the loan check already in hand from navy fed. he showed my husband all the cars within our range, let him test drive, and made sure he knew the car came as is. he even took our crappy '92 Camry that couldn't go 2 miles without overheating for $875 trade in - way more than we were hoping for. after the sale is when we ran into difficulties. our loan check was only good for 2 months, salesperson waited until the last minute to turn it in but forgot to endorse it. so by the time it got back in his hands, the check had expired and we had to go get another loan. my husband brought the second check to him, another month later we got a call from Navy fed asking if we were planning on using this check because it still hasn't been turned it. two weeks of calling ridgeway motors finally got him to turn it in! the car was great though so we thought we were done with it. yesterday, 10 months after initial sale, we got certified mail from hpd saying the Camry that we had traded in was picked up as abandoned vehicle with expired tags, we have 10 days to show proof of ownership or its going to auction. well we gave the title to him when we traded it in, so instead of transferring the title and legally disposing of the car, he did lord knows what with the title and just dumped the car somewhere in pearl city. there's no negative repercussions for us so I'm not too concerned, it was just very odd. so not top of my list for dealerships to go to, but not bottom either. read more
