I think it would be nice for the management to have a smoking area away from the buildings somewhere so that we wouldn't have to walk through cigarette smoke going into the building, hearing chatter throughout my unit, or having cigarette smoke come through my windows if I have them opened, but apparently they don't. This isn't causing me to move out of anything, but this can get annoying sometimes.

Our floors were installed in our newly built home by Unique Wood Designs. Almost immediately, the…read morefiller started coming out. Shane was very nice at first and agree to fix them. Unfortunately, when his crew attempted to fix them, it ruined the finish on the floor around those areas. He then agreed to refinish the floors. When his crew refinished the floors, they did nothing to protect our woodwork and splashed stain and polyurethane all over our white baseboards and door moldings. They also missed spots and polyurethaned over clumps of hair (I had completely vacuumed the entire floor the morning of their arrival and they said they would do it again). Despite multiple phone calls, Shane refused to call me back and told our builder that the baseboards were our problem, not his. And the filler continues to come out.

He was never available for our open houses, meetings, or even our closing. When we addressed the issues with him he told us to "stop playing the victims" (paraphrase). We never felt like he was advocating for us as his client, but instead that he was just waiting for his paycheck, which we wish we could withhold, especially since we never saw him and only spoke with him if it was to have an argument. By far, working with Steve was the most difficult and stressful aspect of our cross country move. We would never recommend working with Steve, especially if you're looking for an agent who communicates, is responsive, and will advocate for your needs as their client.

Steve did an excellent job helping me to purchase my first house…read more Because of my situation (I lived in Akiak Alaska prior to moving to Cheyenne Wyoming), we communicated a lot by e-mail over the course of a month before I was able to put feet on the ground in Cheyenne - when I did finally arrive, he had already put together an amazing list of houses that I might be interested in (based on our email conversations) and we added a few others to the list that had just come onto the market. Over the course of three days we hit the pavement hard and looked at 19 houses. Steve asked me questions that helped me (a first time buyer) figure out what I wanted in a house and in a neighborhood. When I finally settled on a house, he gave me as much help as I wanted in making my first offer and in the proceeding counter offers. Once the offer was accepted he set up all of the inspections, handled the negotiated repairs and I flew back home to get started on packing up. When it finally came to closing, he met me at the house to do my finally walk through, and he was there at the signing to help me review the final paperwork.
