This place was amazing they did stuff that they didn't need to to and they got the job done quickly .

We did a 3 hour e-bike rental, which in my opinion is the best amount of time to enjoy the area and stop a few times along the way. They provided helmets and bike locks. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bikes were in great condition, fully charged, and very comfortable to ride around. The location is ideal as it is steps from the green belt which is a beautiful and easy ride. We stopped by old town for some coffee before making our ride back to the shop. The price for a 3 hour rental was very reasonable, especially for the quality of bikes we were given. I would highly recommend making an afternoon out of this! read more

5-Star Review We had an amazing experience at this bike rental shop in Scottsdale! The bikes and scooters were top-notch and well-maintained, but what truly made it exceptional was the staff. The young men working there were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They took the time to make sure we had the perfect fit, gave us great local tips, and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I love taking my dog for a bike ride, and this time we rented a scooter and brought it with us to the beach house. It made the trip so much fun! All ages can enjoy riding it, and it added such a unique touch to our vacation. You can really tell the team here cares about their customers and wants everyone to have a great experience. Highly recommend if you're looking to explore Scottsdale--or take your adventure on the road! read more

Bought bikes for our whole family; Bobby was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable , very helpful and accommodating. He made the process extremely easy and went above and beyond to get the bikes ready for us before we left town. We will definitely be back in the future ! read more

Purchased two ebikes from this store. Excellent service and nice people. I highly recommend them.

We had and always have a great experience with Rides N Motion at McCormick Ranch! The staff is always kind and eager to get us going on the bikes as fast as possible. They are also great at explaining how everything works. The selection of E-bikes was perfect for our group of 6. It's great to able to choose if you want to pedal a little or a lot! Never had any issues with the bikes which made our day fun. They are located right off the bike path which makes it so easy to take off and enjoy immediately! Highly recommend Rides N Motion to everyone. read more

Friendly and competent service. I bought a few bikes here years ago and since then this shop has become my go to shop for my e-bike needs.

DONT USE THIS SHOP Unbelievable incompetence For you repairs the staff can figure uot how to do a simple tune up, cant figure how to fix a flat tire been there 8 times now , that have no consept of cuostmer service and how to reach out to the manafacture to follow simple instrution on how to fix simple things the staff should be working at a burger joint maybe they wold be able to do that job read more

My wife and I had done an electric assisted bike before, and we wanted to bike on the Scottsdale bike path, a 22-mile paved path that goes from Tempe town lake to North Scottsdale. So we rented two electric bikes (~$100 for 2 hours). The last time we rented, we got 10-speed bikes with thin tires and it felt unstable to my wife. Today we got wide tires--fatter than your typical mountain bike--and it felt really good to her. For beginners like us, this was perfect for exploring the bike path. Our bikes we're well-maintained and we had no problems. Highly recommended. read more

If I could give a negative rating, I would. Stay far away. We came in to purchase a specific model of electric bike, but the staff strongly pushed us to buy a different model, claiming it was better. On top of that, they convinced us to buy two bikes, saying the second one was "half off." But when it came time to pay, the price of the first bike mysteriously jumped by $400. We ended up paying way more than expected. Then came the upsells: they pressured us into paying extra for "slime" in the tires to prevent flats. Later, we got a flat--and discovered no slime was installed at all, even though we were charged for it. When we went in for the flat repair, we were quoted a price. But at pick-up, the price suddenly increased due to "labor" that was never mentioned beforehand. Three months after buying the bikes, they told us the tires needed to be completely replaced (?!), charged us an outrageous amount, and when we picked up the bike, it didn't work at all--the electrical cable was disconnected and wouldn't stay in place. This happened right after they serviced the tires. We told them this wasn't an issue before the tire replacement (we even rode the bike to them!), but they denied any responsibility and had the audacity to offer a $480 repair. The bike has been out of use ever since. They told us to contact the bike manufacturer (Mavric), but Mavric doesn't respond to calls or emails. Ride & Motion, who sell and distribute these bikes, completely shrugged off responsibility. Meanwhile, our second bike also got a flat, even though it was supposedly treated with slime (again--it wasn't). Once more, we called, were quoted a price that included labor, confirmed it twice, and still were charged more when we came to pick it up. Apparently, a patch and some glue costs $30+? A flat tire for a bike should not cost three times what it costs for a car. To top it off, when we tried to bring the second bike in for service (called at 4:20pm on a Friday--the shop closes at 5), we were told they were "too busy" to accept it. What kind of service is that? Bottom line: Deceptive pricing Constant upselling Poor communication No accountability Terrible post-sale support If you value your money and sanity -- go elsewhere. read more

Awful service! Rent somewhere else! Rented 3 electrical bikes for an hour and left the shop at 3:45pm. One stopped working and we got back there at 4:15pm. Kid fixed it, but told us we had only 5/10mn left ...and no refund. read more

This company is fraudulent. I spent over $2,000 on a MeetOne trike. I was told it would be available mid June. It is now July 9th. I have no trike. Nobody will return my calls. The Peoria location closed. I am out over $2,000. Calling my attorney. Do Not deal with this company!! read more

We purchased a super from them in 2024 with much resistance as the sales guy stated we fix them and any issues it will be much easier to go thru us. They put together the bike and have had things fall off such as pedal, battery and brake. Every single time we take it to be fixed they mess it up more. We also have a mavrix and the same thing. They make excuses and the bike sits there for weeks. They now claim they have no relationship with super and so unhelpful on fixing the issue they created!!!!!! read more

This store has the coolest bike and the friendliest most helpful guy working there. I was in cross country running for many years with no issues, but my knees do not like bicycles. Electric? Now we are talking. Phat is right! The tires here are huge! They have bikes to rent and purchase! I found the coolest golf casdy bike and my personal favorite that has a place for both girls to sit on the back. You still pedal the bike, but it takes away a lot of the tension making them much easier on the knees. They give you a 1 year warranty with thr purchase of the bike. From there you can purchase annual insurance for maintenance etc. The department stores don't offer that. Definately worth checking out. read more

Best bike shop in Scottsdale Great service Fast courteous This is the only place to go

We rented e-bikes from rides n motion. We scheduled ahead of time and they had our bikes charged up and waiting. We had a great ride to downtown Scottsdale along the gorgeous Scottsdale bike path. Had lunch and got to ride our bikes back. We even accidentally ran one of our batteries low and Christian came out and delivered us a fresh fully charged battery so that we could go full speed on our way back! HIGLEY RECOMMEND read more

Stop by to look at electric bikes, and Suzan was awesome. She explained all about the bikes, and even let us test them out in the back parking lot. So we return the next day to do a two hour rental. The two hours on those bikes were a blast. We rode all the way down to Tempe town Lake, and then back up the other canals to McDowell. We are super intuitive, and really smooth to ride. The guys are friendly & super helpful, no bike snobs here just a fun reasonable bike shop!

We rode the electric scooters and they were a lot of fun and easy to ride. One of the best day dates we have gone on in a long time! Bobby took us to beautiful parts of the city and showed us the fun side of phat bike touring. Phat Rides is ideally located in the middle of the old town arts and entertainment district, close to so many things that everyone likes to see and do in Scottsdale. We had a blast and plan on coming back soon with some friends visiting from out of town. Thanks for such a fun experience! read more

The Rides N Motion at McCormack Ranch is a great place to rent an electric bike. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. In addition, 20 feet from their back door is the paved bike path between Tempe and North Scottsdale, about 22 miles round trip. This was a great experience for my wife and me. I highly recommend this shop. read more

This is a cute little bike shop, right on the park path. Try the Rad foldable... (we couldn't as they were unavailable). We sampled the foldable when we got back. I found it more comfortable than the City Rad I rode as I prefer an upright beach cruiser style. I found the seat - pedal position uncomfortable enough that I came back early - no refund (no bike baskets available for your purse ladies so leave it in the car or at home). Susan also said we'd be upcharged if 5 minutes late (it was a slow Thursday late afternoon, too). I was happy to ride back home on the pedal assist, orange, Jump Uber bikes we rented before stopping in to check out the Rads. The Jump/Uber bikes are just $9 an hour but are only available in cooler months. We rented Pedigos a few weeks before - $29 for two hours and more comfortable for me. Phat Rides is almost twice as much. 3 stars for a great location and new bikes; -2 for price, no baskets, no flexibility on time and comfort level. read more

Phat Rides is a small mom and pop shop operation. They are located right on the multi use trail. They took excellent care of us making great recommendations on which e-bike would suit our needs best and what venues to take in. They have several different styles of E bikes and scooters for sale and rent. They are very knowledgeable about the local area and are happy to share their knowledge of electric bikes. We spontaneously decided to rent a few bikes following breakfast at a nearby restaurant. My sister and her family were in town visiting from the east coast & a client of mine suggested Phat Rides to rent some cool bikes. Well Phat Rides has the coolest scooters and bikes and motor scooters and electric bikes in the valley! Not to mention the very cool staff! They were so helpful and even gave my brother-in-law a gift! A major plus is that they are located right on the Scottsdale Green Belt and you can ride for miles along it! It's a gorgeous ride! I'll definitely be back when more guests come out to visit our amazing city! Thanks so much for your hospitality Phat Rides! read more

We had such an awesome time. Easy to rent, easy to ride! We rented a fat tire electric bike and a fat tire folding electric bike, both were a lot of fun! There are a lot of trails, canals, and green belt to ride and being a fat tire bike we felt solid on all terrain. This is definitely something I would recommend for all ages and all physical conditions. With the electric assist you don't have to be in shape to ride. Did almost a 10 mile ride today and haven't ridden a bike in about 6 months and I am no way in shape to do 1 mile without the electric assist. Great way to see the city. Great time had by all! read more

We rented e-bikes from these guys. Abe and Wesley are extremely knowledgeable and spend as much time as you need answering all of your questions and telling you all about the different bikes, without being hard sell. They let us ride the bikes in the parking lot and sidewalk before we were ready to rent them. They waive the rental fee if you buy the bikes the day you rent. read more

Bikes are fabulous- we recommend our electric bikes to all of our friends. Living in bike-friendly Scottsdale, we explore every weekend across the green belt and beyond. After spending $5K on two bikes, we had high expectations of future customer service. The bike parts are guaranteed for a year after purchase so that when there's an issue, (and there has been two) they "should" have parts on hand to repair. Unfortunately we found ourselves waiting for a month for simple brake pads (they never did receive the part and they took them off a bike on their sales floor to appease us) and now we are at two weeks and counting for a defective tail light issue. We were assured that both of these issues are common with the Rook series. If they're common problems.... WHY would you not keep parts on hand at your store???? Such a great product, but such a frustrating business to work with. read more

I was out riding bikes with my husband when my back tire popped 4 miles from our home. We walked our bikes another mile to Phat Rides USA not knowing if they would be able to replace my tube. We had an absolute blast on a perfect Sunday afternoon with some great friends. From the very first interaction with Susan to help get setup on the bikes and take care of the paperwork everything was top notch. Bobby even went the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable on the electric bikes and scooters and made some last minute changes to accommodate our group. It was such a perfect way to enjoy sunny Scottsdale and the green belt, I can't recommend this business enough not only for its products, amazing service but ultimately the unforgettable memories and smiles it helped create. read more
