We were out of town customers ( staying an hour away) and needed someone to take a look at the front disc brake rubbing, a shifting issue and a new tire. We walked out with a new tire in a box as they would not be able to do it until the next day. That'd mean another round trip back. They didn't even look at the bike, didn't rotate the crank or look at the brake. But recommended a tune up and wheel trueing. There was no " walk in service". There was no scheduling an appointment for another day either with out leaving the bike for several days. This is what a LBS shouldn't be. IMO We've had bike shops in various locations across the country bend over backwards : from delivering a new wheel to us, replacing a spoke on the spot, diagnosing and updating a software issue along with dozens of other minor and major problems our group has had over the years. More consideration needed to be aimed towards vacationing folks. Not recommended. read more

Percy was a cool dude! He helped me get fitted for a road bike and even told me we could go outside and do a test ride once I came back with closed toed shoes. Waited for my trainer set up to come in and will be back for some gear. read more

I've been in Gulf Breeze for a couple of years and still finding my way around. I stumbled across this bike shop looking for some bib shorts. What a pleasant surprise. These guys are first class all the way. I brought my Madone in earlier today to get new handlebar tape. Ride More had tons of options and explained each one. One of the mechanics overheard our conversation and made a great suggestion. I went by this morning and was in and out in less than an hour. The mechanic also performed a quick check of my bike and noticed the cassette was a little wacky. He knew exactly what was wrong, told me it would only take a minute to fix and he was right. In hindsight, I knew the shifting was not as smooth as it had been. What a great experience. There were no surprises on pricing and the cassette issue was no charge. read more

I have been riding for about a year and a half and was beginning to feel a little pain in my elbow and decided I needed to get a bike fit. I asked my friends where to go and got solid recommendations for Ride More. I set up an appointment with Travis. He made a couple adjustments to the handlebars and set my bike up on a stationary stand. I rode a few minutes and he made some measurements. He raised the seat and repeated the measurements. He suggested changing how I was holding the handlebars. He said I should get more power with the new position. When I got home I went for a quick ride up some steep hills that I had been riding recently and set new personal best on 3 segments. I am very happy with the results read more

Fantastic shop with a ton of top notch riders working there. I went in to get a bike and I came out with a fitted bike and all of my countless questions answered, though they said they would get back to me on the meaning of life. Ride More Bicycles is a stylish shop with a lot of beautiful bikes, conveniently located near downtown Pensacola. Regretfully however, my experience with their service team was less than stellar. More details below. A few of days ago, I took my wheels in for bearing replacements. At that time, I was told that they likely had the bearings in-stock, that the wheels might be done later that day or the following day and that they would call me when they were ready for pick up. So far so good. I didn't receive a call following day so I swung by two days later to see if there was an update. The tech I spoke with at that point seemed familiar with the situation and said the wheels were not yet available, no add'l details were offered. I thanked him and left, hoping that they would soon be ready, but knowing that bike shops are busy these days. Later that day I did received a call from a tech and he told me that "while disassembling the wheels, I broke the thread axel nut". To resolve this issue, he recommended that I order the $13 part on Ebay and apologized for the fact that the wheels (and consequently the bike) were now down for an unknown period of time. To the best of my knowledge, the axel nut was not broken when I dropped the wheels off. And while I understand that parts can break, I was surprised that the responsibility for this issue was being shifted on to me and shrugged off by the service team with what seemed like a bit like a 'sorry not, not sorry' attitude. After giving this some thought, I decided to pick up the wheels and see if another local bike shop might be able to help. When I went to Ride More Bicycles to pick up the wheels, the tech went over the situation with me again. After the recap, he said he was not understanding how I was going to fix the wheels without their help. I mentioned that it was not my intention to sound frustrated but my honest answer is that, if I had broken a part on a customer's bike and that action was going to result in a reasonable amount of downtime, I would be trying to take a greater degree of responsibility for both the repair and the resulting inconvenience. At that point a manager-looking person joined the conversation and explained that I was not understanding the situation correctly. He went on to tell me that if something breaks while Ride More Bicycles is working on a bike, that problem is the customer's responsibility, and the Ride More Bicycles policy is to charge for all parts and service performed regardless of breakage. Fair enough, their shop their rules. I thanked them again and turned to leave. On my way out, the the manager-looking person called after me, "Good luck. Your wheels were going to be out of service for the same amount of time whether you use our shop or not". I'm still not sure how this info was helpful. How might I have handled this? If I were the manager, I would have explained to the customer that unfortunately a $13 part was broken during disassembly. That part would not be showing up on my bill but all other charges related to the repair would. Had they done that, I probably would have put a twenty in the tip jar. Instead I left with a busted nut and an earful of attitude. While this is just one customer's experience, I'd say that if you are looking for a bike shop that isn't going to put the blame on you when things go wrong, there might be better options than Ride More Bicycles. read more

This place has some amazing mechanics whether you're competitive or casual rider. They only carry Specialized as their main brand. Great bikes depending on your build and height size. They may not be the lowest price in town but they do offer great sales and service. read more

Having recently moved to the area, I needed a cycle shop for my Specialized Rockhopper. I found a great service center with great people. I left my bicycle for routine service and when I picked it up yesterday it looked and rode like a brand new bicycle rather than a well-used 15 year old cycle. So where to start, well these guys sure are passionate about cycling and all that entails though that only extends to their kind of cycling which is racing. Having been here a couple of different times they have certainly a large selection of accessories and a very nice presentation but upon trying to do anything that doesn't pertain to a race bike or racing or going fast you get the feeling that your needs and wants are put to the back burner and your style of riding doesn't matter. Truth be said I feel sorry for any new cyclist getting into it that goes to them because cycling is much more than racing. read more

Just purchased two new bikes from the folks at Ride More Bicycles and loved the whole process from selecting, ordering and fitting the bikes. Great knowledge from the staff and super-friendly to work with. Orders were placed and arrived within days so we could head out on a bike trip the next week.
