I've booked 3 classes here so far through ClassPass, and I have really enjoyed my experience! My first class was with Alana, who had fantastic energy. It was a 12 or 12:30 class, so it was packed with people on their lunch hour. It seemed like everyone knew each others' names, so I did feel a little on the outside, but once the class started all I thought about was the workout. The music was pumping, the energy was high, and the vibes were there! My second class was an 8:30am ride with Jabs, who was subbing for someone else. Jabs easily made fun conversation throughout the ride and also had great energy. They were really friendly, as well! Finally, my third ride was with JaCorey, who made us all forget that it was 8:30am. The ride passed by so quickly and I really enjoyed it! The space itself is well thought-out, with enough space between bikes but still creating a close community feel. I appreciate the lockers outside of the bike room, where everyone keeps their items so as not to bring them into the bike room. The people at the front desk are friendly and inviting, too. I begrudgingly went to this class after a friend told me about it. I do OrangeTheory Fitness and the thought of doing a class of just biking didn't sound compelling at all. I decided to go anyway and I had a blast. It's very much like going to a club only no alcohol and a lot more sweating. Our trainer was JaCorey and he absolutely slayed. Not only was he motivational, he played some sick beats that we all did choreography to. Never in a million years did I think I would ever rock choreo on a bike much less actually enjoying it. I highly recommend booking a class with him. While Biking will not replace OrangeTheory, I do see myself doing both. I guess now I am a (biking) believer! read more

Okkkurrrrr. I'm from Indianapolis and was in town for work. A pal from home (Tasha) is an instructor. I convinced my friends to sign up with me for a 7:45pm thirsty Thursday class & they listened to me! As a note: we were up at 3:30am for our flight down, worked all Day & lost an hour due to the time change. But low & behold we made it and I've never felt more energized in a class. Bonus: first class & shoe rental is free! It's a smaller studio than other spin classes I've been to but it felt more intimate and way more like a dance party than a workout. Tasha was engaging and had a bomb playlist. She was off and on the bike and led us through the choreography seamlessly. The studio is clean and welcoming, just downtown in Austin. They do validate parking for up to two hours in the garages along the same street. Water is $2 if you forget & they have lockers for storage. The Thursday evening class is ThirstyThursday! We got to try 512 tequila and it was delicious. I hope to go back the next time I'm in Austin for Tasha's class. read more

I can remember my very first class at RIDE - Allie (Z) was one of the most kind and welcoming people I've ever met. She probably spent 20 minutes chatting with me after class and encouraged me to come back.  #MarkAfterDark bring me the humor/ratchet flare I always need after a long day work. I brought in my 26th birthday & 100th ride on the podium in Mark's class. Whenever my best friend visits me in Austin for the weekend, we never miss a HipHop Saturday on the side bar. I started taking Ryan's 4:45 class on Thursdays over a year ago and I don't think I've missed a Thursday with him since I've started. The empowerment, liberation, and energy he brings to the podium has been imperative in making RIDE my 2nd home. I could go on and on about these instructors, in addition to the desk staff + entire RIDE community. Every instructors at RIDE deserves recognition but for the sake of time, I want to say thank you for getting up and doing what you do each and everyday. All I have is LOVE for this cycling place. Not only is Ride my favorite place in Texas, it is my absolute FAVORITE place to ride in the world. I live in Chicago now, and the Soul Cycle classes ($32) do not give me the same energy/motivation/sweat/insert your best synonyms here. I miss RIDE every single day. From the music down to the right amount of methodology/choreography, this place is 10/5. I found myself increasing my classpass membership and paying for extra classes just so I could ride at at these classes. I truly felt like I was on top of the world during and outside of class. Thanks for also bringing me to love my body. When I come home to Austin, I make sure to book a RIDE class. Perks: the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Even if I come a few minutes late, the staff has my shoes and space ready. The instructors make it a point to know my name as well. Shout out to Mark and Frank. Best instructors in the world. Absolutely TOXIC vibes by the owners of this studio. The instructors are so encouraging and I love this one woman (can't remember her name, maybe Jenny?) because she was so chill and didn't have one of those annoying high-pitched peppy voices that some fitness instructors have that make you want to put real wheels on the bike and skeedaddle on outta there. But I noticed after some of the classes that the owner of the studio would be around and you could just tell the instructors were on edge and the energy was just sucked out of the room. Maybe there's a deeper narrative there, but I have heard in the fitness community that RIDE has a history of treating their employees poorly and I personally don't support a business that's run that way. I certainly won't be going back ANY time soon, especially since (Jenny's?) classes got me so ripped that I don't even need a cycling studio anymore!!!! read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE RIDE! It is very upbeat, and fun. When you are exhausted from the workout, the atmosphere of the class really helps keep you going. The instructors help with that as well. They constantly tell you to push yourself, and to get what you want out of it. I have been to this location 2 times (I usually go to the one in the Bee Caves). However, when they have a specific artist for the class, I go where that is. The only reason I give this location a 4/5 is because of the spacing in the room. It is very cramped. The last time I took a class here, I was in the last row in the right corner (I booked last minute). I didn't mind the spot except when we got to the arms. There was a fan above me to the right, on the wall that moved from side to side. When we did the arms section, I kept hitting my arm on the fan because of its placement and rotation. That aside, I would highly recommend any of their studios. Their instructors work at all of them (in the area), and they are all wonderful! I have taken classes at other places such as soul-cycle, and I actually find theses classes to be more of a workout, and have an overall, better vibe. I do not feel it is as "cliquey". I always feel out of place at soul-cycle, but I do not feel it as much here. Yes, they have their regulars, and you can tell who they are, because the instructors call them out all through the class. However, you are there to workout, and honestly I don't need the attention brought to me -- I am just trying to keep up! You get what you give! 10/10 would recommend if needing a good cycle class! Just be careful of your seating choice - stay away from the bikes at the end of the rows! read more

Amazing cycle studio!!! Mark is my favorite! His classes are always so fun and full of energy! Different instructors play different kinds of music (hip hop, techno, EDM, pop, etc) so you kinda have to find which instructor and style you like best but they are all good! WOW. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - even for beginners! I took my very first spin class here and I was blown away. Though RIDE's physical space is very small (bikes are close together, super tiny locker rooms/bathrooms), the kindness and friendliness of the staff & class attendees makes visiting this studio so worth it. When I arrived I was a bit overwhelmed by the craziness of the studio, but staff members helped me to clip into my bike, select weights, and even gave me a bottle of water because I forgot mine The workout was high energy and intense, but even in a crowded room of bikes the instructor took time to look at individual technique. If you love music/rhythm/dancing, try this studio. You will love it. I'm totally obsessed and I can't wait to go back!!! read more

In town for a girls trip and we decided to try a spin class...this was the most engaging class I've ever taken and I've been taking spin classes for over 10 years! Alana was super encouraging and high energy. The class went by so quickly because it was so fun. I was dripping sweat within the first 10 minutes and so relieved when we were done! The studio was clean and intimate and the music was awesome. The employees there were very helpful and friendly. We definitely felt welcomed for not being regulars I wished we lived closer so I could be a regular though. I will definitely come back anytime I'm in Austin. The instructors are truly amazing, but I want to highlight the incredible staff. Chris and Michigan individually provided outstanding customer service. When I arrived, Michigan checked me in. With a chipper attitude and I assume a smile beneath her mask, she asked if I needed shoes or water. I was ok, but I appreciated it. When I asked about my waitlist for the 2nd class, she said there are often late minute cancels, and she even told me my place in waitlist line. Chris greeted me at the studio and offered to replace my weights for whatever size I wanted. I was good with 5s and he then asked if I was needing help with my bike set up. Loved the thoroughness! Between my 2 classes, I asked about buying a pair of socks. Chris had an extra pair and hooked me up. I can't imagine this happens most places and ended up writing this review because it was an uncommon move. Thank you so much for caring about a stranger's feet. I'm going to break down my review into two sections on Ride: the studio itself and the instructors. STUDIO: The location is fantastic and easy to get to. I usually park at the AMLI and have never had an issue finding parking. The studio will validate your parking. The inside is clean, front desk staff has been super helpful (including helping reschedule me last minute when I have gotten stuck in traffic heading to class!), and lockers are plentiful. INSTRUCTORS: I've tried several of instructors to see who I like...and who I don't like. My personal favorites are Frank and Tasha. Their classes are tough, music selection is great, instruction is easy to follow along with. They're always so nice and say hi before and after class and make me feel so welcome in class! You can tell they prepare well for class and it shows in their quality of instruction. read more

I was in Austin for work and wanted to get a good workout in since I wasn't going to moving around much during the day. I decided on Ride because of the great reviews and I'm thankful I did! First of all, your first ride is free. Can't beat that. Shoes are free your first time too. Second, the instructor, Ryan, was really awesome. Not over the top, but really motivating and his playlist was fire. I worked my butt off and before I knew it, the end of the class was there (don't get me wrong I always count down the minutes while exercising). The staff was incredibly friendly and the bike room is really cool. Overall, I'm so happy I went and if I get a chance I'll go back again before I leave! read more

I tried them out thanks to ClassPass and have taken classes with both JD and Caprice - right off the bat, they greeted me with such energy and enthusiasm that I felt like I was their best friend they hadn't seen in ages! JD is full of energy and loves to incorporate a lot of dancing into his class, while I attended a Justin Timberlake vs. Jay-Z theme class with Caprice. Just the class alone sold me, but Caprice was insanely sweet and super hands on with the entire class. These sessions can get pretty packed, and Ride does a fantastic job at making everyone feel welcomed and getting that one-on-one attention. I'll obviously be back a million times over... read more

Been coming to Ride for two years now and they've become my favorite workout. The instructors are the best - so inspiring, killer music and lights - I usually go to Tara or Cole's classes, generally because of my schedule and they're fun and hard, but Frank, Caprice, etc are also great. Even though I often feel like I'm going to throw up in class, every time I finish I cant wait to go to the next one. It's very addicting! The riders are also often at a higher level and you're motivated to push yourself harder as a result, but everyone is also welcoming to newer riders. The front desk staff is incredibly welcoming and always checks in with each person as they are setting up their bikes to make sure they don't A-need help (if you do, they will teach you how) or B-have the weights you want! As for instructors, Tasha. Mark. Frank. Cole. Erin. Allie. Alana. ALL AMAZING AS HECK! The passion they bring to class is something else. The energy, the music, and the sense of community is everything for me. It is a little pricey but every penny is worth it! So so so glad I found Ride! I can't believe I haven't written a review for Ride yet! Love this studio. Instructors are all amazing--upbeat, challenging, and make you feel energized and accomplished when you leave. It's great that they accept ClassPass to make it a bit more affordable. There is 1 shower in the women's locker room and 1 shower in the hallway (co-ed I believe). That can lead to a bit of a line at prime times (after the 6 AM/7 AM class during the week), so plan accordingly. The shower products they have available are amazing! read more

There are several downtown cycle studios and since I started working downtown, I always pass by Ride on my route. I walked in to get their information one day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They did a good job with the use of space between the locker area and the gender neutral restroom and the women's locker room (which includes a shower). My first Ride was free and I've been back since and purchased a class pass, which is comparable to other cycling studios. As a bonus, I have run into a few friends after classes which is cool. I've also tried several different class times and each instructor has their own vibe. But I have never been bored and enjoyed each one. I'm looking forward to continuing my classes and getting stronger. read more

Did a class here while visiting Austin and enjoyed it! It's conveniently located downtown, near many hotels and businesses. The studio itself is new and clean, with plenty of lockers, a clean locker room and showers. The class was similar in format to SoulCycle: no metrics tracking, a good amount of choreography, an arms section in the middle and a generally uplifting, motivating vibe. It was a good sweat and fun! My only complaint is that there are a lot of bikes in the studio so I felt very close to my neighbor, especially during the arms section.
