This company is relentless and not in a good way. They have harassed my neighbors and myself WEEKLY despite the big signs that say no soliciting at the entrances and on doors! When we shared the sign he said "oh I can't read." When at a house that has a sign posted above his doorbell the owner pointed to the door and he said "oh no I don't smoke." One guy blocked me in my driveway while I was trying to leave. This is not professional or a good sign of business especially if you can't respect people in general. The behaviors and disregard to request is disrespectful and distasteful. We called the company and all they could say is well we told them not to that's all we can do. Just remember that this is a small town... and in a small town word gets around. Not good for business at all. read more

The only reason RIDD gets a 1 star from is because there's no option for a negative star! I made the mistake of hiring this company after the salesman assured us that we can cancel at any time, so I figured if they don't do a good job I can just cancel and be done with it, so after the first appointment they sprayed and we saw no improvement, called and were told to give it six more visits before we would notice a difference, so I complied and after six visits there were no changes, so when we called to cancel services they said that we were under a contract and couldn't cancel until the contract was up. I'd say that they charge way too much considering that the quality of services rendered is terrible. This company is straight up con artists and should be shut down and dismantled! read more

terrible! never saw service individual. . never left any paperwork even if they were here! All I ever saw was there bill on my credit card. Took in their service with a specific need to keep fire ants out of my yard - particularly my back yard where my dogs play. I had fire ant mounts that were HUGE! Had to buy fire ant killer even though they were paid for this service. They are AWFUL!!'n read more

I'm beyond frustrated with RIDD Pest Control. Their "supervisor" Connor sold me an upgraded plan under false promises, saying it would cover rats and mice in my crawl space and attic. That's the only reason I agreed to it. After the first visit, I found out they don't even go under the house or into the attic. So I basically paid extra for nothing. When I tried to cancel, they slapped me with a $250 fee--even though the service I was sold doesn't include what I was told it did. Now I'm stuck handling my own crawl space while RIDD hides behind "policy." It's a shady, misleading setup, and I want people in Wilmington to know before they waste their money like I did. If you care about honesty and real service, avoid RIDD Pest Control at all costs. read more

Do not use this company! Completely unethical and inept. Only performed 2 services and charged my credit card for 4. Had to call to cancel and they charged me a cancellation fee instead of crediting me for services not performed. read more

Another annoying pest control company doing door to door solicitations in the Boiling Spring Lakes area. I unfortunately answered the knock at my door, assuming it to be my neighbor, only to be greeted by a guy decked out in Ridd attire trying to sell me their services. I was given the same spiel that all of these companies use, "We provide pest control services for *insert neighbor's name here* blah blah blah...." They said the neighbor who lives behind me uses Ridd as her pest control company, which was hilarious, because she doesn't and the name they provided is not her name. Upon realizing the misfortune I had embarked upon, I started to shut the door stating I was not interested. The guy tried to continue his spiel, but was ultimately met with the door being closed on him. This is a reminder to everyone, don't be like me! Always check your doorbell camera before opening the door, as it's probably not your neighbor bringing dessert, it's probably a Ridd salesman. read more

Ridd pest control in : 2810 Yonkers Rd Suite 3F Raleigh NC, 27604 I noticed that dozens of reviews echo the same experience I had. Deceptive techniques from the salesman = lies about contractural obligations = your stuck and customer service doesn't care. Every negative review talks about being tricked into the service. I no longer trust your company and don't want your representatives to visit my home. I called Ridd pest control in Raleigh,nc and begged to cancel my contract. There response was that he "couldn't" after I had already informed him over the phone that this issue and your lies had caused me mental and physical distress. He lied to me again, and only after the Better Business Bureau reached out to them did they refund my money. I want to cancel my contract. That's all I need right now. I'm not going to let this go. read more

Absolutely frustrating to have a bunch of ignorant idiots constantly being inconsiderate to you & your neighbors/subdivision. We have signs up at the entrance WHERE YOU DRIVE IN, that says no soliciting, yet he comes in parked his happy butt & continued to knock on mine & other doors & we also have DO NOT SOLICIT signs up & when told about the signs the idiot says "oh yeah I know about the signs" Hello?? How rude & arrogant! I'd play with the darn pests before I'd do business with you guys!! How about respect some people's boundaries!! read more

I have had, at two different times, two different people ringing my doorbell concerning RIDD. I told them was very happy with my current company that I have had for 11 years since I moved here and have developed a rapport with them. I also told the girl who came today, that no solicitation in Leland and she said "I know I could get in trouble". I also told the gentleman who came about a year ago the same thing but he just said thank you and didn't say anything back. Both of them referred to people who live in the next neighborhood in my HOA community and gave names, but I didn't know them. It also could've been fake names. I would suggest this company tell their employees that there is no solicitation. read more

Buyer beware! Sounds like we got ripped off even more than the others who posted here. They pitched $93 per month and come to find they only come out once a quarter and since they don't let you know they are coming they don't do the inside of the house that quarter if you aren't home. Then to get out of the 18 month contract that renews automatically you get a $399 cancellation fee. It's worth paying to get away from this group. I'm n this instance I was a sucker but please do NOt sign up especially with anyone coming door to door before checking out other pest control groups in Raleigh. Many are better. read more

Like many others that posted Negative Reviews on their Facebook page , we to had a young guy Matt Berggren show up at our door in July of this year. He had a great pitch, he said he was starting up his own branch, explained all the "In's and Out's" of what they do. In hindsight ~ At that point I should've Thrown Him Out of my house. He sounded convincing so I made the mistake of signing up with them ~ Yes 149.00 every other month for a year with a 199.00 cancellation fee. I should've known better !!! A crooked con artist is what he was and scam company is what RIDD pest control is. 2 young kids showed up a few days later, they didn't have a drop spreader, or the proper sprayers. I let them use my spreader and even my own Telstar Product because they were short. Did I mention that they showed up while it pouring rain, when I mentioned many times that they shouldn't be applying product in the rain, that it would ultimately be washed away they said Not To Worry, they would be back out to reapply in a few days. That never occurred, they've never been back, RIDD also seemed to have compromised my Credit Card (Thankfully the Bank realized potential Fraud and Shut Down the account and the Card) The following month I got a Notice from RIDD stating that my account was behind and I needed to update payment with them. When I argued that it was them that compromised my card they of course denied that. When I questioned why I was being charged and explained the first time the 2 young kids showed up in the rain at my house and that No One Ever came back for follow up service and I wanted to cancel any further service with them. They switched me to the "Account Manager" which sounded like another young kid on the phone who was adamant that I Pay my Outstanding Debt or I'll be sent to Collections. I told them I don't just give money for No Services and told them they were in Breach of Contract. This went on for the past few months now. I looked up their addresses in Myrtle Beach which comes back to a vacant lot, I did a drive by past the Wilmington NC location which does have a sign up on an old house but no signs of an active business. They only have 1 and only 1 phone number to call, if you do call you get the same runaround about having to pay the Outstanding Bill and that my Account be Closed until that is done. I've started a lawsuit to go after them, I will also be contacting several Investigative News Outlets and expose this fraudulent company on national Television. Beware DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY CONTRACT WITH RIDD PEST CONTROL THEY ARE A SCAM !!!!! read more
