Kenny was exceptional! You want to talk about customer service and professionalism? This guy is it! Bug-N-A-Rug showed up right on time, got started right away spraying our home and being mindful of all our kid stuff. Could not recommend them more. Here's hoping the bugs stay away, but I will certainly be back for more from Bug-N-A-Rug for all my pest control needs. read more

was never told tech couldn't get my crawl space door closed, left it open for it to get water damage and warp the door. i have a dehumidifier under my house that ran constantly because the tech failed to close my door properly. I had to fix the door by busting some of the frame to get the door to close. just for me to be told there's nothing they can do. common curtsey would have been to let me know they wasn't able to get the door closed so I could have went out that day to close the door, instead of it being left open for 3 days. poor communication and very unprofessional. I mean the tech admitted he didn't lock the door, but still was told there's nothing was nothing they could do. Needless to say I won't be continuing services with them. read more

Bug-N-A-Rug Exterminators - Wilmington - July 11 4 days after my house was serviced when I was mowing my grass. - Pest Control Near Me - Wilmington, North Carolina

I just wanted to reach out and let y'all at the Hampstead, North Carolina branch know that Chris, one of your exterminators, was courteous, professional and accommodating to my requests today. This man was emblematic of the standard and personal care we have come to expect from Bug n a Rug. Furthermore, the service we receive from Bug in A Rug Exterminators has always been like this. Chris was no exception. Thank you! I will always recommend this company to anyone who might need ongoing or immediate professional help with bug control. Have a great day! read more

inspection was thorough and on disruptive. I want to continue my service. please send bill.

I had a roof rat problem, caused by my neighbor's 3 bird feeders. I used another service first (BUGNO), because Bug-n-a-rug was so busy, they couldn't see me for a couple of weeks. It was wasted money! Trap was set in ineffective place; wire mesh was I adequately installed; only one of 2 separate attics was inspected. Bug-n-a-rug is on a National register; that is how I found them. Waylen was thorough & knowledgeable. read more

Had Bug-N-A-Rug treat my house for termites. Minor issue but you don't jack around with termites. I am also using them for the yearly inspection. They got rid of the termites and did a good job with the recent inspection. I do get emails from them every now in then about getting other pest services from them, but they have never tried to up-sale me in person. Overall, I have been very satisfied with their service and would recommend. read more

I would not recommend this company because my niece had them to come in and spray now there's more coming out the stuff they use does not kill the roaches just make them More active. read more

Not a fan of having different people come to my house un expected, the price was a bit higher than the other companies ive found. Switch ASAP. They never have the answers i ask questions about and seem like they are always in a rush to get on to the next appointment. I can't stand these big companies that send teenagers to do a job for someone that needs a license and training to do properly. Rude phone service as well. Canceled the "contract" and ignored all their collection calls for services never performed.. read more

We have used Bug-N-A-Rug now for over a year. They are prompt, professional, and the service they have provided has kept our home bug-free. We also have used their mosquito treatment in the yard and found a decrease in pesky nuisances! Today, I had regular scheduled service call. Bryan did a quick and thorough job of treating our home for pests. He was punctual and offered an outdoor alternative to spray as it was raining at the time. Appreciated his professionalism. read more

Absolutely great experience so far with this team. First impressions over the phone with the scheduler immediately confirmed things we saw in the positive reviews. Things only got better when Dominic arrived to answer the call. So impressed with his persona and knowledge. Very happy to have him in our home and handling the Palmetto sighting that started the need for the call. Looking forward to continued great service from this very good organization. Highly recommend!!! read more

KENNY IS THE BEST EXTERMINATOR! 10/10 deserves a promotion or raise! Great guy and excellent service even came out on a Saturday! Plus have hunting advice! read more

These guys are great. They send super people to your house. The people in the office are responsive. They don't try to upsale you like Terminix. I just started using the lawn service and the guys are super knowledgeable and patient with my dumb questions. read more

Kenny came out to our house this morning and provided a thorough evaluation of our home. He quickly identified the bug problem and offered the best treatment options available. He was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful while showing us problem areas and explaining everything in great detail. He even offered expert tips and suggestions to help control the problem both before and after treatment. Kenny took the time to speak with our property manager and scheduled the more intense extermination that was needed. Very pleased with this technician and highly recommend his services. read more

This company billed me for years for doing termite crawlspace inspections, but in fact were just doing 'exterior inspections', aka just a drive-by. I only noticed when in the technician notes in the bottom of the email bill said that, however there was never any attempt to knock on the door, call, or email about them being unable to access the crawlspace that they had always accessed before, they just kept billing. The manager was rude and dismissive when I called to dispute the bill. Never use them read more

By far the only pest control company to use! These folks are incredible at what they do and the most reliable and knowledgeable company around. Jimi B provides an extraordinary service and is the best technician ever. Hands down this is the company to use. Thank you for all you guys do!!! read more

I have no idea how this company has such good reviews based on my personal experience. During the service call I was quoted a price for quarterly service and told there was no cancellation fee. The first service went well. Less than two months later they booked my "quarterly service". I told them it has only been six weeks and they said that so long as it three separate months if counts (my first service was at the end of one month and the next service scheduled for the first week of the 3rd month). I called and cancelled and told them I would reschedule. Their technician showed up anyway. I told him that I cancelled. I then started getting billed every month. When i called they said that was standard. I began having weekly calls to their customer service as new charges kept arriving on my credit card without a new service. I asked to speak to a manager on 3 separate calls and was told someone would call me back. No one did. I called to cancel service and was quoted a large quote break my contract which was never discussed with me - when I booked the service I was told that there wa no cancellation fee for much I needed since I am renting. Again I asked to speak to a manager and was told someone would call me back. No one did. I then received another notice that my scheduled service was coming up. I called again to tell them that I had cancelled my service. It is insane. Truly some of the worst customer service ever. read more

The only reason I give one star is because I can't leave no stars. I had this company come to my home for a mole problem in September the company did a two part treatment. I was told 150 if I wanted to deter them but if I paid 350 to kill the food source it would be guaranteed for 3 months. Two weeks later the problem was back again so I reached back out. They told me they would gladly come back to rectify the problem in a few days which they did. A week after that the moles again returned destroying my lawn and also the next day I revived a bill for another 75 dollars on top of the 350 I already paid. I called the company and was told that they don't know why anyone would guarantee or tell me it was guaranteed when it's a ongoing problem when you have moles and that the person who said that to me was not with them anymore. This is a shady company and I should have got this in writing so do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. After 425 and got nowhere and they want more money is ridiculous read more

Horrible service. They dug up my yard around the foundation of my house to spray for bugs and left all the dirt out on the lawn for me to clean up. They exposed old underground wires and left wires above ground. My yard is a disaster with dirt dug up around the house. read more

Everybody loves Eddie, one of the technicians. He's very professional & willing to help solve your issues. This business is run very effectively. They keep track of when you're due for a treatment & call you to set up an appointment. read more

First, a caveat: I have not yet hired these guys to exterminate anything for me. But I did call them at 4 pm on a Friday afternoon when one of my tenants complained about bed bugs (falsely, as it turns out), and they drove 45 minutes to my place to check it out. I was certain they would find bugs whether I had them or not -- the ballpark estimate for a single treatment was $900 -- but they didn't. The tech who showed up did a thorough search through all the beds and found nothing. He refused to take any money for his troubles, and even beckoned me outside to tell me how often he sees this kind of 'bedbug hysteria' when there's no reason for it. This seems worth a positive review on Yelp. I give them three stars because I can't speak to anything else, but they seem trustworthy to me. read more

Excellent service! Technician called ahead of time too, which was a great help. These folks are very attentive and answered my email very quickly about service needed. They were out to our home the very next business day, and less than a 24 hr period! Now, that is what I call good service! read more

Based upon a recommendation, we used Bug in a Rug from February to September of this year. Admittedly, We Should have cut our loses a long time ago but we had invested so much time & money with these guys - kept thinking we must be on the brink of solving the issues ! A flea infestation in February is not normal especially when your dog is on monthly nexguard doses. Took bug in the rug about 4 or 5 complete house sprays - very messy and not cheap - also very toxic (you must be out of your home the better part of the day) before they realized the issue might be rats under the house. Paid to have every possible breach to crawlspace sealed and then for more sprays under house. Finally fleas we're gone in May - about 3 1/2 months after we'd first called them. Don't ask me why but At this point we signed up for a package of summer monthly mosquito sprays. I repeatedly asked the barely legal youngsters (ALL of their employees that were sent to our house barely look out of high school) to AVOID my raised beds and vegetable gardens. They obviously did not as most of the garden shriveled up after the first spray and by the second spray there was nothing left of the peppers (usually very hearty) and tomatoes. Both my husband and I repeatedly called the offices asking that they send out older more experienced guys to our house- ones that wouldn't leave their tools / flashlights lying around / would remember to actually close the crawlspace after they sprayed under the house/ and would maybe take a bit of pride in their work and actually pretend to care about the challenge of bug extermination. Almost every guy that was sent to our home seemed both inexperienced & and uninterested in their jobs with the exception of John - who has seniority & therefore Won't crawl under houses & Mason, Who while he WAS more friendly and much more knowledgeable & actually interested in his job and decent at explaining issues to the customer, attempted to upsell us a 'cleaning up Under the house / Vapor barrier package' for close to $3500 . I did some research, got a couple bids and ended up having the same work done by a licensed home inspector for $1200. It is difficult to find a good exterminator/ pest control company in this town but let me make it a tiny bit easier for you by strongly suggesting you investigate alternatives to the inexperienced, overpriced teenagers at Bug In a Rug. read more

Larry was very personable and professional and addressed our needs. He answered our questions and concerns thoroughly. We moved in a year ago and inherited Bug N A Rug from the previous owner. They keep calling us and I tell them no thank you we do not want you to come out. Well I guess they do not understand the word NO. They came out left a bill on our door and also sent one in the mail for $110. We did not ask them to come and WILL NOT pay a bill for which service I did not ask for. Perhaps they need business but this is not the way to get it. This is a disgrace!!! read more
