4.5 stars We stopped here on our way down from Niagara Falls. We were hungry and in the mood for pizza. Rico, the owner, recommended the Big Game special - which was a large cheese pizza, 10 wings and garlic knots. Garlic knots (at least 8, maybe 10) were fresh and coated in a delicious buttery garlic sauce. The pizza was decent, fresh and cheesy. I prefer my NY style pizza to be super crispy on the bottom, and this one came out normal. The wings were the highlight: steaming, freshly made and large. I hate paying for dinky small wings and these did not disappoint. The service was even better - Rico was very friendly and promptly brought out food, plates, waters for us, etc. When we first pulled up, there were some friendly state troopers having lunch here, so you know it's well enjoyed by the locals! Definitely worth a visit! Tip: the marinara that came with the garlic knots was yummy and great for dipping pizza crust too, and Rico was nice enough to give us some extra garlic dip that the garlic knots came in. Have gotten take out from there a couple of times now and while it's not the best I've had it's above average for the area and worth a try. The menu is pretty standard with all the usual choices. We have had their pizza and calzone both were pretty decent except I think they could be more generous with the toppings. I would gladly pay another couple dollars for more toppings, but I guess a person can always order a double topping. The service was friendly and the food was ready on time and the order was complete. The interior was average and looked clean from the short amount of time I was in the restaurant. We will definitely order from them again and would recommend it to others. read more

The slice looked great, dough was great, pepperoni was fine, if only they used real mozzarella instead of some fake blend. Taste like rubber cheese... disappointed to say the least. ordered Buffalo chicken pizza and it wasn't even Buffalo. Food tasted alright but they charged me for side of ranch and didn't charge my friends. Would not reccomend coming back but they have checkers so that was fun. Bit I lost to my friend anyways. read more

This is pretty good New York style pizza in the Southern Tier. I would get it again. Personally, I like how there was a hint of spice in the sauce. Pizza was pretty thin and crispy. It could be a tad bit more crispy for my preferences. read more

One of three in a local chain this place is pretty new I think. Or else newly renovated. Clean. Freshly painted. Organized. Parking out front is a few spots, but it's next to the gas station/McDonalds etc so there's plenty of extra spots. Pizza is called NY style. Little thicker than I expected, but tasty. I might have liked a little more spice. Doing a brisk takeout business, even mid afternoon, I think it's probably going to be around for a while. read more

I've loved their pizza and wings, but the service is seriously lacking! There is an app that you can order from which is convenient. I would assume that if a location is outside of the delivery range it would indicate that. When you open the app you select delivery then search for the nearest location that delivers to you. I've ordered quite a few times with no issues. Recently every time I order the same young lady calls me to let me know that 1 I'm out of the delivery range and 2 they are short staffed (or some Bull) and they can't get a driver out to our house for at least an hour and a half to an hour 45. She's rude and short with me. I honestly feel like it's such a burden for them to do their job and make food. They always seem so dang annoyed. I ordered a custom pizza with 8 toppings. This $30 large pizza should have been loaded down but wasn't. The total weight of your pizza never changes with extra toppings...they just put a smaller, tiny amount of each. So little jalapeño only 3 slices had any. Good pizza but they give you a New York screwing. No napkins, park or red pepper with delivery...that's crazy! read more

Food is usually good but skimpy and a rip off for what you get. The subs are like 9-10$ and come with literally one piece of meat. Basically they either need to lower the prices to a realistic amount or add more meat on their subs. read more

This place Is great! The pizza is some of the best NY style in the region, and they have a good selection of premium beers (Sierra Nevada, for example). The prices are reasonable, and in my experience the service has been excellent- so what's not to like? To be clear, this is a pizza place, so don't expect great decor or typical restaurant seating. Lived here inHorseheads for almost 8 years my husband his whole life (27yrs) just had ricks a few weeks ago. Love love their sheet pizza. Best sheet pizza I have ever had. Wings are amazing as well. My family and I live in Horseheads, New York, and ordered from the Horseheads Rico's. We ordered a California salad (my wife wanted some items omitted and extra of other items), two orders of cheese sticks, an order of jalapeno poppers, two orders of wings, some garlic knots, and a couple cannoli. We place the order online at 7:43 PM. The total was almost $50.00. We were told online that it would be 40 minutes. At 8:30 PM, I called the store and asked if they could tell us when the order would be delivered. The young man who answered the phone, said that they had gotten very busy, and that it should be out to us in 10 minutes. The order was delivered at 9:00 PM. When I asked the delivery driver why it was so late. He mumbled some excuses about that they were really busy, and then the manager had shown up and that the manager had started giving them "sh**." There were a couple other excuses that he gave, but I did not want to talk with him anymore since my two young daughters were waiting in the living room behind me, and I did not want to risk another expletive. The cannoli were superb, and the wing sauce was delicious (although both the mild and the medium were in the same box, and it was not labeled which was which). There were at least a couple of items missing from my wife's salad. The food which should've been hot, though, was not hot. It wasn't cold, but, for instance, the cheese sticks were not stringy at all, and the cheese in the poppers was firm, not melted. I called the store this morning in order to talk with a manager. I spoke with a lady who identified herself as Mallory or Valerie (couldn't tell for sure which). She said that she was a manager, and I explained what had happened. She sincerely apologized, and told me that she would talk with her general manager about the problem. She told me that she would call me back. She did. She apologized again, and they offered us a $5.00 store credit. I don't think that we'll be ordering from Rico's again, but I found it interesting that they equate a poor product and service experience as being equal to $5.00 more of their product. Rico's, you had a chance to make it right, but just like your product and service, you dropped the ball. Just thought that others should know. read more
