My most recent visit was very disappointing as I ordered carryout for myself and my brother. He ordered the Ruben sandwich and I had the Jalapeno bacon burger. Burgers & Beer of Corning had about 25 beers on tap, half of them crafts. We had to have a Labbatt Blue, a 4% pilsener, mellow, lightly malty. A good old beer, easier to find here than in Baltimore. One of us likes sours, so we got a Rising Storm Berry Pomegranate It Was Written IPA - Sour. It was a pretty purplish color. The flavor was mostly tart-berries without much that was distinctively either pomegranate or hops. I'd ask the bar not to rely on only this as the sour on tap. But kudos for the adventure of trying a unique local brew! This was a pleasant casual semi-dark bar with as many brew choices as there are hours in the day. Food, too, if you like. Order at the window, pick-up when you hear the buzz. Get buzzed. Mission accomplished.
