Came before a Pirates game and turned down our business. Had 48 people and told us to leave. Owner was a jerk too.

Their food isn't their best attribute. Fun atmosphere, kids liked it and a few games of pool after dinner was cool. The floors were a mess, more than anything that could be expected from a busy shift. If it were not for the unimpressive meal, I might go back to hang out with my BF for an evening. Rick's is a sports bar in Export, PA, about 30 minutes SE of Pittsburgh. It used to be located further up 22 when we called it the Pizza Pub. I liked the old place better, but it's hard to compare since they changed to a completely different place. This is a very nice and moderately priced sports bar with plenty of big screen tvs at the bar and viewable at any seat in the bar. There is a lounge, banquet facilities, arcade game section, outside seating, pool tables, air hockey, and great chicken wings. read more

High priced food that is nothing more than frozen low budget bar food available at every small bar in America. The exception is that Ricks charges twice as much as the other places. Our waitress seemed like a nice girl having a very bad day, the place wasn't busy at all and she was hard to find and talk to. STAY AWAY!!! We went out as an office this evening and had the worst expereince possible. Our waitress did the best they could (two servers had just quit - not surprising). THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU ALCOHOL IF YOU HAVE ONE MINOR AT YOUR TABLE!!!!. We had 10 21+ people at our table and ONE underage and they would not serve ANYTHING. We continued to eat dinner and just enjoy the gathering. After dinner we went up to the bar (not a single person there on a Thursday night) to grab a drink and shoot darts. The bartender refused to serve us because "we were the group with the minor". She then argued that they are a bar and not a restaurant (as I look at children running to the play arcade in the back). Yes this "sports bar" who is so apprehensive to serve a table with a single minor has an arcade section for children. We decided to leave and take our business elsewhere Apparently the owner recently got sued for serving minors is what the waitress told us. Stay out of this miserable establishment. They will go out of business shortly. read more

Went for a 10yr bday party - - - arcade area with tickets for the kids and full bar for the parents! we got this crazy portable beer tap thing that had some crazy amount of beer so you can refill your glasses from the tap at your table! pizza was good - not great - and wings were awesome!! salad was ok - iceburg... kids loved it and had a blast read more

In the past I have had some not so great experiences with the food and service, but earlier this evening we had a good experience. My kids and I went to watch the playoff game and ordered a pizza. The pizza was fantastic (by far the best food we have had there) (about 10 trips). We watched the first half of the game, ate, played some games, and overall had a good time. Great place to catch a game and try something from their extensive beer list. Definitely got a bump up tonight. read more

Given this place three chances to be fair. Food is horrible. Service is extremely slow and wasn't very friendly. I will say they have a great beer selection but expect to wait for a cold one. Watched football here. Tons of TVs, especially at the bar. Bar service was solid. Tried nachos and wings, no complaints. They had a large seasonal craft beer selection, which our waitress was very well versed on and was able to greatly aid in the selection process. This place is a steady 3 star sports bar (with several video games...hmm?) but it's broad beer selection and well educated bar service bring this from the average experience, to just above average. read more

For beer selection I would give this place five stars. For service I would give it one star. Atmosphere, I would give it four stars. Food, I would give it two stars. The countless negative reviews on here are somewhat surprising to me. My family and I have enjoyed coming here for years. It's a family friendly environment with the big game area that they have and the TVs at most tables and lots of big screen TVs all around for game nights. They have daily buffet nights, I have only ever tried the pizza and wing buffet and I do not recommend. The price is nice but good luck beating out the other (many) patrons running up at once when fresh pizza is laid out. Otherwise, I've never had a meal I didn't like. Their wings are delicious and huge and the pizza is great! Service can be hit or miss but I wouldn't want to work that hard either if I was made to wear tank tops and shorts in the middle of winter. read more

Rick's is awesome!! Plenty of televisions to where you can see from any location in the bar. The service is great even when busy on a night like tonight. I hear the pizza is decent. Why only three stars? I went on all you can eat wings night and was not impressed. The wings, even though they were a big size, were over cooked and dry. Maybe they needed to change the oil or something. They also ran out of sauces and did not refill them. All in all I would eat there again maybe on a different night than all you can eat wings. This place was great a few years ago, but appears to be on a steady decline. The food has suffered over the last couple of years and service is horrible. The only items that I would recommend are the beer and wings. They have a great selection of beer and most the time your wings will be good. Don't expect great service though. read more

We used to love going on the all you can eat wing night for the wing and pizza buffet however in the last year or two they have not only raised the prices but they have also really decreased the quality of the wings that they serve. Their wings are rubbery and usually over cooked. read more

Poor service, below average food, and too much area for two staff members to cover. All in all, very disappointed in my dining experience. Chicken fingers tasted microwaved, burgers are tasteless, and service was poor. Ps. Don't use your credit card, they hold $50 for over a week while charges go through. Rick's is a huge place with a pretty fun atmosphere; huge TVs all over, your own tv at every table, nice big bar. However, every time I've come here I get excited for the foot and I'm always let down; it's OK but nothing spectacular. Typical bar food, but people talk it up like it's much better. Also, I don't like the "arcade" atmosphere because parents let their kids run around in and out of the bar when they leave them there. read more

When a restaurant like this gets positive reviews for the food, it makes me want to send the reviewer's email address to a charity dedicated to helping people who were born without taste buds. The menu is best described as an unfortunate and depressing afterthought. A quick glance will tell you that the owner and the management simply don't care. The vast majority of the products they use are cheap and frozen, or at the very least, prefab: The salads taste like they are from a bag, the appetizers are frozen and not made in house, the burgers all look and taste like frozen patties, and the hoagies are nearly as bland as their virtually tasteless pizza. There isn't anything on this menu that can't be found better -and cheaper- in a filthy neighborhood dive bar. The building itself is impressive and spacious. Before you even walk in, you can tell that the owner of Rick's invested millions to clear and excavate the site, grade and build, and then finish off the building. No expense was spared on the flat screens in every booth or the truly massive, almost stadium sized screens that ring the interior of the complex. It astounds me that someone can put in this much time, effort, and money but be such a frugal miser when it comes to the food products. Spending the extra money to get decent product in the kitchen would be welcomed wholeheartedly. Regarding the service, let me say that I have a huge amount of sympathy for the bar, hostess, and wait staff at Rick's. Every last one of them seems to be overworked and undertrained. Its not hard to spot employees who are just there to get paid. It certainly seems as though they have no incentive and are just going through the motions. Please understand that I am not criticizing them, this is an obvious failure of management to incentivize, motivate, and spur them on to something better than mediocre service. They all seem like good people, just worn out. Rick's one saving grace is the beer selection. They have tons of imports and domestics on tap and many glass faced coolers with dozens and dozens more. Just remember: Rick's is a decent place to have a beer and watch a game, but it's a good idea to eat before you get there ;) read more

Wow! Wish I had checked the reviews before going there. We've passed it a lot and always said we'll have to stop and try it sometime. Tonight was sometime and it was awful. Only giving one star because they won't let me give 0. It was so bad that I decided to post a review which I never do. But here goes: My family (3 kids and wife) walk in and after a minute or two get seated at two high tables that WE had to push together. Not an ideal seating situation for my 8 year old son, but whatever at least we got a seat. We then wait for 15 minutes before a server comes over and takes our drink order. She comes back about 5-7 minutes later with drinks and takes our order. We order 2 appetizers, with all of our meals. 35 minutes later our waitress returns with ALL of our food! Appetizers and all. I tell the server I don't want the nachos that were supposed to be an app and she agrees to take it off the bill. As for the food, the burgers we got were frozen patties and completely tasteless with no seasoning. The fries were also frozen, but were tasty compared to the burger. My oldest daughter ordered the wings which looked far better than they tasted. Very bland and not at all spicy. The one app that we kept were potato skins which were also frozen and reheated. All in all 3 burgers, chicken wings, kids chicken fingers,potato skins, and drinks and the total came to $63. Not at all worth half of that. McDonalds down the road would have been a better option. All in all very disappointing and guaranteeing the next time we go past we won't be staying "Hey we should stop and eat there sometime". read more

The last several visits here have been very disappointing. It's extremely difficult to get any wait staff to attend to you. Once you get one, it's been a minimum of an hour wait for the food, the last three visits. When the food does arrive, it comes out sporadically and is wrong. We've had to hunt down other wait staff to bring us silverware, drinks and corrections to orders. And to top it off, the food has not been good. I went to this place because I heard they had a great selection of beer. I wasn't disappointed. At least 40 beers on tap and at least double available in bottles. Craft beer also a great selection. Come here for the beer and atmosphere only! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE HUNGRY!!... I have come here maybe 6 times, each time hoping to find something on the menu that maybe I could eat. I have come here because some friends had asked that I go. I had ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich. 8.50 I looked at the menu only to discover that the fries were extra!! THEY DO NOT COME INCLUDED WITH MY SANDWICH!!. I mean who does this?? Obviously a place that regardless of the negative reviews, they keep doing things the way they want, and never to increase business. The sandwich comes out with three pieces of UNBREADED Chicken with very scant sauce on as a base on a hoagie bun toasted open face with mozzarella cheese melted on top. First of all, who makes chicken Parmesan unbreaded on spaghetti or a bun??? NOBODY!! So I mentioned it to the waitress. Hoping my some small miracle that they just ran out of breaded chicken and had to substitute. Nope! No such luck! .. she stated it was always made this way since the place opened. So I imagine it is a matter of convenience that they make a whole bunch of chicken at the beginning of the day and use it on their chicken Salad, pizza , chicken Parmesan, and any other meal that requires chicken... Laziness! . I ordered a Calzone another time, it was if they never ordered a calzone anywhere. They very crudely throw the ingredients between a half folded pizza crust. Lunch meat ham, yuck! Their ricotta is untreated and straight out of the container and plopped right on top of everything in a pile .. they take no PRIDE IN THEIR FOOD.. it's like it was an afterthought.. their chicken wings are the same. You get what ever pieces of chicken available at the time in the kitchen breaded and thrown on a plate. Who uses full size chicken legs for chicken wings?? So if you have to eat anything, get a sub. They really can't screw up putting meat on a bun and toasting it! And by the way, you get the choice of steak fries, sweet potato fries and skinny fries. NOW! You would think skinny fries would be like the ones you would get at McDonalds or a Burger King right? Nope! You get a regular cut fry just short of a steak fry... So don't put it on your menu as a skinny fries when it is not! Put regular cut or steak fries... when you deceive people they just get pissed off!! It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth and with today's Social media Word of mouth travels fast. If your thirsty and want a great selection of beers this is the place to go, if your hungry, Well, you get the picture.. lol read more

I was refused services because they would not accept my Passport as ID? And was told they can only accept a drivers license. I'm from Ireland and do not have an American drivers license. It was ridiculous and the staff were the extremely rude which seems to be a trend from reading the other reviews. I have never been refused service with my passport before. I will never enter the place again, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. read more

Went here for the first time in about 5 years the other night while on a date night with my wife. If we would of just had adult drinks I would of been happy. Sadly we opted to get food and was a waste of money and our time. The sausage hoagie I wanted came in 2 sizes and they wanted 12.00 for the larger size. Since I hadn't eaten all day I went with the larger size. What arrived at my table fit into one of those plastic baskets they sometimes use in restaurants. It also lacked any sort of side like chips or fries. 4 small bites of sausage in 4 tiny sections of almost stale bun wasn't what I expected or hoped to pay 12.00 for. While I was impressed with any of our food that night I want to say that I don't expect amazing dishes to come out of a bar. Given the size of Rick's, their massive menu and prices they charge I do however think they need to step up their game. Their are being either cheap or greedy and we should of been tipped off that night when all the fountain drinks we ordered were very watered down as well. Our visit here was mainly because it was so close to home and we wanted a quick bite and some time away from the kids. Next time we'll pay the sitter more and travel further from home so we can find a place worthy of our time and money. read more

2 words - False Advertisement. After reviewing Rick's website and seeing Wednesday was $5.99 all you can eat wing nite -I called Rick's just to verify the price. I spoke to a man who confirmed the $5.99 was all you can eat wings, pizza, pasta and salad. We went to Rick's last night only to be handed the bill with a $9.99 charge instead of the $5.99. I questioned our waitress (who was very good at her job) and she told me no, it's $9.99 and she gets this alot due to their website. The owner wasn't there at the time so I requested her to make a call. She did and came back to inform us that he remembered speaking to me but he said it was $9.99. This was untrue, as when I confirmed the $5.99 price with the man I spoke with (who ended up being the owner, Rick) I repeated the price back to him. I don't mind paying for food but do not like being lied to not to mention, false advertising. They have the incorrect price online to pull customers in and they charge you $4.00 more. When we got to the restaurant, there was old, hard pasta noodles sitting there and 2 pieces of pizza and no wings. The waitress told us they were making more food, which they did. All in all, we won't be going back. I don't like the way they do business, plus, Rick out and out lied about the pricing to me. Bad business. read more

1st time there. Had a great time. Friend took me there to watch football Christmas Eve. Rick was very attentive and found my Raiders game in booth. Not really busy but had a good time with friends and enjoyed my game. Coldest beer to the last drop in 23 ouncer! Served its purpose. Wings were nothing 2 rave about. Others said food wasn't great vut went to drink and watch games. Will return but from NY visiting. Meant 3 and a half just to let u know. Good place if u like beer. Tons of choices read more

This is a good sports bar for games. But I am under 21 and they do not allow people under the age of 21 in after 6 pm unless they are with an adult. Went for dinner with the kids, game room was a mess, almost every machine either gave out the incorrect amount of tickets, or was broke. As far as food goes, wings were horrible (burnt, no sauce, and had a hint of onion taste) sandwiches were skimpy, only good thing is the beer is cold. This place has gone down hill lately. read more

The food is about average, but the service is as stated, erratic. On multiple occasions I've been turned away due to issues of ID. Just recently when a friend of mine from the UK presented his drivers licence, the bar server claimed she "couldn't read it". There is a clear ledgend on the back of the licence and it had a valid expiry date. During dinner I've been turned away due to members of the party being under 21, even though we had no intention of sitting at the bar and just wanted food. Having been a bartender/server myself I, and my friends, are usually very patient customers but our experience, both with our server and the food, may have been some of the worst I have ever experienced. Our server was hostile from our first encounter responding with an "Eh I've been better" when we asked how she was and never once smiling the entire night. It only got worse. She was so busy and slow (although the place was half empty) that when she finally brought our drinks we said we'd like to put in our appetizer order and she literally yelled at us "I have fifteen other orders I have to take care of first!" and rushed off not to be seen for another fifteen minutes. (I could go on and on about her rudeness but suffice to say every time one of us passed her at another table she was apologizing to them so let's just assume she was awful to everyone). When the food finally started to arrive (over an hour and a half after we sat down) everything came out at once (actually she plopped down one of the three apps we ordered in front of my husband and said "here is your fried shrimp" which actually turned out to be the fried onion petals my friend had ordered, served with a side of cocktail sauce (!). The shrimp never came at all. Somewhat of a concern that the server doesn't know what food she is serving) I ordered the steamed shrimp which were clearly microwaved and not steamed at all; completely rubbery and not one speck of seasoning. The salads were all greens out of a bag with some chicken or salmon slapped on top, the garlic bread was chewy and tough and when my husband's burger had still not come out after 90 minutes her explanation was "well all the burgers are frozen solid together in a big chunk and they couldn't get one off". After that charming explanation my husband canceled his order and she got defensive and rude to him. Oh and I forgot; they have a great beer selection but I don't drink beer. I ordered a strawberry margarita which was entirely made of thick, undiluted strawberry syrup. My friend went to the bar and ordered me two shots of Cuervo which I added myself along with more ice to make it drinkable. All of the food clearly comes out of a bag which makes the poor preparation even more inexplicable so if you want a meal of frozen food from Sysco, this is your place. Such a waste of a great space. Lots of TVs for sports and good beer is usually a good start but everything else from there is sad. There are a lot of bad reviews about this place on here but management clearly doesn't care to make any improvements, However I couldn't resist putting my two cents in after our horrible dining experience. Fortunately the beer and tequila helped us find the humor in the situation and we had a lot of laughs; too bad our server couldn't muster a smile. Will never go back now that the North Park lounge has opened: same atmosphere but cleaner, better food, better service and several miles closer. read more

I've visited this establishment a variety of times, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. The food is average, and on our latest trip the chicken arrived with a black long hair which ran over/under the chicken and through the fries. Getting it replaced was quite an ordeal, and my appetite was long gone at that point. As a bonus, I split a table top draft dispenser with another party at the table. I quickly noticed that the draft did not contain the amount of beer that is described (in ounces) on the menu. We were cheated by at least 8-10 ounces of (expensive) beer. Service is often slow, and I've been overcharged on occasions (sometimes amount on bill changes when you get the receipt to sign). There is a large beer selection; however, I'm not sure how fresh some of the craft drafts are. All in all, I've had several negative experiences here with being overcharged and subpar food/service.
