Amazing restaurant! I got there at around 7:20 in the evening on a Saturday. It was fairly packed in there but there was a birthday party going on and there was also a Pens game at 9. Anyways, our group was of about 12 people so they had to put together a few tables so we could all sit together which was nice, there were at least 5 tv's I could look at from my view. All of which had different things broadcasting on them. The waitress was very nice and she was very helpful. The free popcorn there is definitely what makes this place famous. I got an Italian Hoagie and was satisfied with it, also got fries with it. One thing I did notice while I was there was that the floor was somewhat crumby but that was taken care of because a waiter vacuumed it up. got to Rick's on a friday around 8ish. we stood at the hostess stand and when the host was asked if she was going to do her job (not by us-by other staff) she said no. we were sat by our server and she was awesome. our daughter wanted to play arcade games and the majority of the games were broken and when she did get tickets the counter to turn them in was closed. It is a rare occurrence for me to write a negative review, and not something I enjoy. However, in this case it is fully justified. I came on a Thursday evening with a group of coworkers. The place was mostly empty when we arrived and stayed that way throughout the night. The building is quite large and the interior is actually quite nice. However, that is where the positives in this review end. After placing a few orders of whole wings to share at our table, we were informed that we just ordered the last of their whole wings for the evening. Not to worry though, they assured us that they still had wing dings available. After placing 2 orders of those, our server came back to say that they were now completely out of all types of wings. This was disappointing because we were all excited to eat a lot of wings that night. I did manage to snag a few of the wings that were ordered before they ran out, and I realized that I wasn't missing out on much. The skin was soggy and the sauces tasted bland. Overall, the quality of food, service, and atmosphere were lacking at this establishment. I would not go back in the future and I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are in search of a sports bar. read more

We were there Saturday evening and very disappointed. Waited 1.5 hours for a grilled cheese, Italian hoagie and fries. The cheese was not even melted on the sandwich, the fries were uncooked and the lunch meat on the hoagie was spoiled. The beer on tap was empty and a few items on the menu were not available. Meh. I know a lot of people love it here but I don't understand why. It took forever for anyone to acknowledge us when we got there (even though several servers walked past) and finally i stopped one of them saying we wanted to get a table. I received immediate attitude and was told "we're a bit busy" but that didn't make sense because there was basically no one there. Apparently the servers are supposed to bring you popcorn. I didn't know this but my son asked where it was and when she brought some over almost threw the baskets on the table. The menu was average sports bar type food with a few salad options. I was impressed that they had three different types of fries. I ordered the cheese and gravy fries thinking it would be similar to poutine. The fries themselves were fine, but the gravy had a weird lumpy, almost congealed type texture. The portion was huge so I guess that is why they were so expensive. But I would have preferred better quality over the huge quantity. There are TVs everywhere which definitely remind you that you are in a sports bar, but more than half of them just had the direct tv logo bounding around them when we were there. I can't believe I'm about to give a 5 star review to a sports bar BUT we visited yesterday and loved it. We were seated immediately and had popcorn brought to the table. The waitress was attentive and kind. The atmosphere (during the Steelers game for us) was fun. There were tons of TVs everywhere and were viewable from all the seats. There was even a tv at our table. I ordered the small grilled chicken salad and my husband got the calzone. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Prices were reasonable. The place is huge and there are TV's everywhere with really good sightlines. The booths have your own TV with individual volume. If you wanna watch a game or a race this is a great place to do so. This is a tricky place to review. I have been here two or three times before and haven't written a review. We were here meeting a group. We gathered at one end of the bar. Some in bar seats, some at an adjacent bar counter and some standing. We found some menus laying around. Especially at first it was pretty impossible to get anyone's attention to order. I heard others at the bar complain they spent 20 minutes trying to get a bartender's attention. Once we did get one's attention she practically threw the beers down and ran before we could ask for anything else. They have complementary popcorn, though impossible to get any. Once the one bartender realized we were ordering a lot of drinks she seemed to be a little better. I'm not sure if they were just understaffed or slow. However all the times I have been here I felt service was lacking. There was multiple employees out smoking together, right in front of the entrance. Not what you want to see when you can't get service. Also the restaurant is messy, to say the least. Also as others have said it is a bit weird because it is so large and mostly empty. The saving grace is the pizza. It's actually pretty good. Always look at the specials because otherwise the topping price gets ridiculous. This place definitely fits the description of supersized. TV's come in all shapes, and sizes, and appear in every corner and square inch of the restaurant. Most of the booths are equipped with their own table side tv. If you are into sports, this is one bona fide sports bar. The menu is more involved than your average sports bar, but they do list the standard fare one would expect to order while drinking a few beers and catching a game. They feature 80 different beers on tap. Pretty impressive. Week day food specials include an all you can eat buffet of tacos, pizza, and wings. Not the place to go if you are not into noisy dining. Between all of the tv's playing, video games dinging, and sports fans cheering, this place is not for you. 3 stars apply to the pizza ordered. I cannot rate their entire menu, but did feel the pizza was average. Not bad, but not anything to rave about. read more

My honest assessment is that it's a 2.5, so for the sake of the rating, we will round up. Rick's is your run-of-the-mill sports bar, with TVs galore, oversized portion sizes of greasy food, and service that remind you what it's like to have a job that you don't enjoy. This time around, there were two of us. The first part of the visit went great; we were seated immediately and dropped the house popcorn within minutes of getting situated. All good. From there on, it was a bit hit or miss. First, you have to be ready and super prompt with any orders because the average visit to the table is going to be 20-30 seconds at most, and there will likely be a few stops to get everything served to you as she was like to forget what she was doing. We ordered some standard food. The small versions of the appetizers are plenty large enough to be a full appetizer - the large version is probably a meal. The main dishes took a while and she definitely brought me the wrong order (which is sad as it was only a Caesar salad). Likely, she brought me somebody else's as it had the wrong meat on it and usually Caesar salads don't come with black olives and it was lacking the cheese, but as it was the same price and I didn't want to wait another 20-30 minutes for a salad I just went with it. Price-wise, it's fine, especially if you're alright with portion size making up for the rest of the meal. It does have some arcade and video games to play so it's perfectly fine to bring your kids or if you're a group. Will likely be back. read more

Don't waste your time. Terrible customer service, extremely rude staff. The restaurant was empty and yet the staff was unable to accommodate a group of 12 willing to split up into smaller groups. My husband and I go to Ricks all the time! They have a large selection of drafts, they get a lot from local breweries. For being a bar they have wide variety of delicious food! We stopped here last night for dinner and we should have walked right out. We were waved on by an older man with no personality who seated us and threw a bowl of popcorn on our table. The place was filthy and no one was bothering to clean off tables or sweep the floor. The tv at our table was covered in grease and bits of food and dust. When I asked our waiter for a certain drink he had no idea and threw a drink menu on the table. We ordered a few appetizers which were ok and went on our way. The food was good, but not consistent. Mushroom pizza, I was told, was amazing, although I did not try it. I was pretty disappointed in the shrimp salad with imitation crabmeat and little shrimp. It was mainly lettuce with just a few toppings sprinkled. The zucchini app was very large, but the majority was breading, as you can see from my picture. I enjoyed the calamari, and beers were good and inexpensive. Our server was just okay. She left us hanging toward the end, when we all wanted another round. She also made a comment that she was trying to clean up, which made us feel rushed. I did like the atmosphere though, and prices were pretty reasonable. Was here for a party but got here way early. Ate dinner and had a hard cider, and the service was excellent. The food was good, but they didn't provide enough marinara for the fried zucchini. I want to be fair about this review. Rick's Sports Bar used to be this little place on 22 with great wings, sandwiches and worth the wait. Then he went nuts and built this palace for sports fanatics across 22. I love sports, big TV's and beer. Then ok, stop in for a visit. Now the brutal truth. The food has taken a nose dive the past 2-3 years. I'm not talking about tough dishes here either. You can see from my photo's. My daughters wanted to go here to hang out in the play area. Ok Whippee! Sorry but the pizza was below average, well done and the sauce stunk. The wings that used to be a "go to" were overcooked and the sauce was bland. Add to the fact the server dropped 3 22 ounce beers at my feet during the meal. Thankfully the girls were playing and not present but I was wearing sandals. I wasn't happy at all and the server was far from accommodating. Yes the beer selection is great but stick with the popcorn. read more

I eat here every so often. The place is nice and big. Lots of TVs. They also have a small arcade which is nice for kids. Free wifi is a nice touch also. The food is sort of hit and miss. My personal favorites are the wing dings and the hoagies. On the other hand, The pizza is not so good. The wait staff is hit and miss also. This last time will be the LAST because of how incredibly slow because a "large party" of 10 people (that was the only other people in the entire dining area) caused a 2 and a half hour back up for our food.
