His estimate was reasonable and he also had included cleaning up and re-doing some of the existing plumbing that was there. Got a lead on Rick's Plumbing from our Real Estate agent who gave us a list of good service providers. Boy, was she right. We had a backed up shower and toilet. Rick was on time, gave us a good estimate, and completed the job in a short amount of time. Our Water Softener went out on us recently and was leaking. Rick came out and was the only guy that said he would take a look at it without charge. The next day or two he made a special trip to pick up our new premium water softener. He did a great job at a fair price. What a jerk!!!!! He comes in and tells us that if he has to take his shoes off and on it would be a problem. He then pulls his arms and hands up and says" tell me right now if you want me to look at it but I'm not gonna take my shoes off". We took his offer and showed him the door. Who comes to any home with dirty shoes and refuses to do his job if he has to take his shoes off. His attitude was pompous with a Hint of racism, mentioning it must be a cultural thing... Um no it's a clean thing. My husband mentioned that we had young kids! He says " I got kids so what!" He is very very egotistical like he has plenty of jobs and doesn't need to be respectful or service-oriented. In any case, don't work with a jerk. Don't know if he's any good at his actually job because his attitude didn't allow for us to get there. read more

I showed them my newly installed sink (that someone hooked up wrong; it leaked) Rick said he'd refigure it. I also needed the outside corroded and dripping faucet replaced. I was quoted $150.00 for everything. After working on my sink Rick found that I needed a new strainer. I said I'd gladly pay him for it. But, he said he'd take care of it. I saw both professionals check their own work, then each other's! They made sure to clean up after themselves. Awesome! I can't remember the last time I was this happy to spend a few hundred dollars on professional work. After having 3 local plumbers come out and quote me on replacing a tub and shower valve, I came across Rick's Plumbing and am SO thankful I did. Other plumbers quoted me twice as much for the work (probably because they saw my DIY house coming along and figured I was happy spending money on professional work when I've actually done all the work myself). Rick gave me a price over the phone, and during our conversation I mentioned, "I also have the wall open already so you can see all the plumbing." His reply, "Oh, then I can take off $50-60, so it will be even less." Wow, WOW! Honest, friendly and experienced. He has pricing posted on his website unlike all of the other plumbers who came out. He didn't look at the job and say, "I'll call my office real quick to get you a quote", like all the other plumbers did. He pulled up early, was patient while I spent 20 min cleaning the work area (I expected him at 8am but he got there at 7:30!), he surveyed the job, got to work, and after 2 hrs charged me exactly what he said he would. Rick also told me of possible options for future bathroom plans we have, and when I'm ready to remodel I know EXACTLY who will be doing my plumbing, Rick's Plumbing. Rick is/was great! I called him the day after Thanksgiving and even though he was in MN catching a flight back to LA, he said he would come over. I had a leaking water softener.... It was too old to be repaired and Rick was honest with me and said I'd be wasting money trying to repair it. He said he could replace it and also have it done in one week..... True to his word, Rick came at end of following week, installed new system and even put in new shut off valves, cleaned up the prior installed pipes....
