Buyer Beware, Liars and Scammers I saw an engine on eBay for…read moremy VT1100 Honda in April 2024 and contacted Ricks Motorcycle to confirm the 1998 model would fit my 1995 model bike prior to purchasing the engine. I was told the engine would work for my bike by Sara, and I purchased the engine direct without going through eBay (big mistake). Once I received the engine, I delivered it to my mechanic who immediately pulled the spark plugs and found they were severely oil fouled. I contacted Sara and was told by owner (Bill) to run a compression test. My mechanic ran a compression test and leak down and the engine failed both tests. I contacted them and even sent video of leak down test; you could easily hear air blowing out the crankcase in the video. I was then told to prep engine for return, which I did promptly. That was early June 2024. Engine sat in my driveway awaiting freight carrier and now its end of September. I kept calling and leaving messages over several months and nobody returned my calls. In my last brief conversation with Sara in August 2024, she told me they have been trying to switch freight carriers and this is why nobody has been in touch. It's been more than a month since my last conversation and I have tried to call them several more times with no response. Engine is now at the junk yard where it belongs.

I own a sports-bike so felt like it was a little out of place to bring it to a shop that mostly deals with cruisers and choppers. When I showed up they would barely even acknowledge me and after telling me someone would come out to look at my bike in a few minutes, I sat outside waiting for one of their employees for about 15 minutes. When I went inside again to see what was taking so long they were working on another bike and everyone was standing around completely ignoring me. Needless to say I eft and found another shop that took my bike right away and fixed the problem. Spadafora's has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. My experience with Middlesex Power Sports / Old Outboard Marina or what ever else Mario is calling himself now, was exactly the same as other reviews you will find on the web if not worse. Mario had my boat for no less than...wait for it...4 1/2 years (not months, years). During which time I stopped in many many times to check on its status. I had to stop in as Mario does not take or return calls. In fact most of the time you can't even leave a message as his message are full. Twice when I visited I found he had been evicted from his place and the boat along with most everything else was gone. Tracking him down to his new location was both time consuming and as anxiety packed as you can imagine. At one point he did have it finished (although not tested) and was delivering it too me only to have the back engine cover fly off on rt 495. Mario did not lock the cover down and it was caught by the wind and flew off. This was a truly rookie mistake that could have easily killed someone. This is a much longer story than I have time to write here but after all the pain, anguish and time, Mario ended stiffing me for $200....sigh. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BOAT HERE AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT!

He is great at providing excuses and stories of crazy circumstances. He will tell you that all the bad reviews are just crazy "liberal" customers that had unrealistic expectations. I read the other reviews and figured I'd give him a shot. Bad call. Don't make the same mistake.
