They stated multiple times over the years that their "classic car guy" was an expert and could handle a classic car. For the first 5 years of living in atlanta, I took my classic mercedes here until they finally told me their classic car guy was leaving and they wouldn't touch my car going forward. Frankly, they did 5 years of changing my oil and nothing else but they'd charge me for what they called "regular maintenance". Regular maintenance on a classic car should include a lot more than just topping up the oil and calling it a day, but every time I'd mention knocking noises or brake issues or anything else to them, they wouldn't address it at all so I had no idea if they thought it was an issue or didn't. Finally 5 years later, thank god their classic car guy left, because I took it over to a place in Decatur and all of the things I had been worried about, they found a reason, they gave me a full breakdown online of what they recommended and why, they answered all of my questions, and I could pay the invoice online and feel good about it. Update: As of 9:30 p.m., Jacob, the owner, repeatedly called and texted me after my review. He first falsely claimed I'd only visited once four years ago, then offered to pay me, which I refused. After that, he pulled up what he claimed were years of invoices that were not real, despite the fact that I have the original receipts for my own transactions. Even after I repeatedly told him to stop contacting me, he continued until I had to block his number. Based on both my experience and his behavior afterward, I would never recommend this business.

A while back he was in a car accident and the other driver's insurance accepted responsibility - which meant that we had to go through their processes. I was EXTREMELY worried about the quality of the work but was so relieved to see all the positive reviews on here for Avondale Independent. They did NOT let us down. Their work is immaculate - clean, beautifully done, and the attention to detail was wonderful. They kept us informed at every step of the process, worked with the insurance to get an end product we would be happy with and they could be proud of, and requested additional time from the insurance company when needed - instead of cutting corners to get things done with mediocre parts. On top of that, their honesty and candor with the process and our options made the world of difference. We knew we could trust what they said because it wasn't always the most expensive option (they told us if they really didn't think something needed to be changed etc.).
