Also their bird seed. Huge bags for the same price you'd see for smaller bags at other stores. Staff is always helpful when you need assistance as well. What helps is they have everything you need. I came for bird seed and could also buy bathroom cleaner a few sections over. Great store for your home needs

Poor service. Selection is limited. They advertise sales and rebates, but when you get down to the…read morenitty gritty charges for miscellaneous things like delivery they rip you off. So, the value "looks" good, but in reality it's no different than shopping at other hardware stores like Lowe's and Home Depot. When you buy a product they act like you're getting a deal because of the rebates, but you have to pay more to begin with for the same products elsewhere. The rebate thing is a total gimmick and Menards is a ripoff. And, they make you go through the work of mailing in the rebate form (which could be an online thing but it's not) just to get back to the price you'd be paying elsewhere. Menards is a ripoff. They also charge about 9x more for delivery and set up compared to Lowe's. We paid $250 for a delivery and set up of a refrigerator and range to a first floor kitchen with no steps and Lowe's charges $35 for the same exact thing. Menards also charges $145 additional for pickup if you change your mind and return the item within the 7 days they allow (we changed our minds on the range), but at Lowe's it's FREE for a pickup of unwanted items that you had delivered if it's within 48 hours. Any way you look at it there's a ripoff going on at Menards. So, in conclusion we paid almost $400 in delivery/set up fees with the added pickup fee included in that price. $35 @ Lowes for same thing.

When we went to pickup the truck at 8:15, they told us that our reservation had been cancelled. I looked in my email and saw that the cancellation was sent out at 6:48 am that morning. I had people taking time out of their day to meet us to load furniture into the truck. Fortunately, we were able to rent a truck from The Home Depot store on Hanley Rd. Afterwards, I followed up at both the corporate-level and at the store-level. The corporate Customer Care rep opened a ticket and said that the manager from the Chesterfield store would be following up with me. I spoke with Becky (Manager) and asked her for some restitution. All that she said was that I would be receiving a refund of the $150 for the rental down payment and that she was "sorry" for the mixup. She basically blamed it on the system. To Becky (Manager): I will not shop at your store or any other Home Depot store. Fortunately for me, I have other options (Lowe's & Menard's). When you treat a customer poorly, they not only won't patronize your store & brand, they will tell their social circle about their bad experience and tell their story on other social media outlets. Oh, and "I'm not sorry."

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lowe's regarding a door purchase and installation…read more On September 18, 2025, I paid $5,991 for interior doors with professional installation included. The contract listed an estimated delivery date of October 18 and completion by November 17. Installation was scheduled through Lowe's Installation Partners for December 17, specifically to ensure the doors were installed before the holidays. The doors were delivered, but the installation never occurred. On December 17, the contractor no-called, no-showed. Lowe's did not intervene, escalate, or provide a solution. Instead, I was told to wait an additional month for installation, with a proposed date in mid-January. As a result, my living room is now filled with uninstalled doors and construction materials, with guests arriving for the holidays. I only accepted delivery because Lowe's assured me the installation would be completed as scheduled. When I requested cancellation and a full refund due to Lowe's failure to perform, I was told I would be charged a 20% restocking fee for "special order" doors--even though they were not custom-made. This experience shows a complete lack of coordination between Lowe's and its installers and no accountability when commitments are missed. Do not offer services you cannot commit to or fail to proactively manage. Given what has already occurred, I have no confidence that the doors would even be installed after another month of waiting. I would strongly caution anyone considering Lowe's installation services to look elsewhere.

The staff were very helpful and the price was reasonable. This is a real old fashioned hardware and feed store. I didn't explore the whole store but noticed a good selection of garden tools, feed and grass seed as well as fertilizer and plant seeds. I went back two days later and bought some wild bird seed. We've been buying it at a chain hardware / hone improvement store. The seller was in a larger bad and the price was only a few dollars more. I'll be back since it's important to support small local businesses.
