He was very kind and did a great job of calming me down and convincing me that everything would be taken care of. He sent someone out to put tarps over the holes in the roof until the tree could be removed and the roof repaired. He somehow did this in the dark. Then Steve came again to check the tarps over the weekend since rain was predicted. Repair Masters dealt with my insurance company and that went very smoothly. The crew who came to work on the roof were here promptly at 7am and were very professional. They finished what seemed to be a big job in a day and a half and cleaned up when they finished. I would highly recommend Repair Masters and Steve was especially kind and efficient.

I was shocked when the contractor showed up that day and on time. This has never happened with contractors I've hired in the past! I asked him to replace anything he saw that was damaged. He ran into other problems and he took care of them. He was professional, had a great eye for detail, and his work was very neat and sturdy. I was told it would take 1-2 days when I was given the estimate. The job was completed in a day and a half. It looks great! It came in just a little over the estimate due to the extra materials needed to complete the job properly. I believe the price was fair. I am looking forward to hiring this company for more repairs and remodeling on my home in the future. It means a lot to me that they actually showed up when they said they would and the cost was reasonable.

They sent two guys and a 20X20 tarp to cover the area above the kitchen and ducked tape the tarp to the chimney and charged $700+ for two hours of work when all they had to do was get a chimney kit and install it as the leak was around the chimney due to the flashing being blown apart in a recent storm. They said they would knock off $700 if they got the roofing job. They never called my son with a quote of the repairs or inspected the inside of the house to see where the leak was. What a rip off artist. I am a 72yr. old U.S. Marine, and I have never experienced such gross failure to consider the customer and give them a quality job for their hard earned dollars. Why cover 400sq. ft and charge that price when a simple fix would have done the job? I have pictures to prove the facts! They even left trash from the roll of duct tape and plastic tarp lying on the ground. They ripped my son off because he is living in Chicago. I have 9 rental properties in Springfield, but my will was ill and I could not get up there to repair it and save my son the hassle of dealing with a person who grossly overcharges for their services. Only a fool would consider giving them any business!!! I have only written one negative review in my life, so I do not make it a practice to do this. I have owned my own small business for 40+ years and know how hard you work to keep a good reputation and keep customers happy. I really feel that this roofer would never be given a moments consideration for work on any of my other properties!

I flushed the toilet to show him after he was Lollygagging on my property for an hour that it's not working he decided to gaslight( oh that's how you flush) me and left still with the same problem. During the work, they found some things that were no longer up to code and/or had been done by a do it yourself person and rectified them and making us feel much safer. They completed the work on both occasions in a neat and orderly fashion, cleaned up after themselves, and answered all our questions. DIY gone wrong. I tried to switch out the water mixing cartridge in a shower and due to some…read morecalcium build up, it wouldn't budge. I put it back together, but the water would no longer turn off so we had to keep the water to the entire house turned off. I called Ray's and they were not able to come out that night. The next day they were there within an hour of calling them. An hour later they had it fixed completely. The competition came out the night before and talked about putting valves in the basement, tearing out a bedroom wall to get to the back of the plumbing, and cutting through the shower wall! I knew this was not required because Ray's had switched out the other cartridge just a few months prior to this incident. The competition told me the cartridge was stuck and he may not be able to get a part since it was 8 p.m. He looked up the part and said it would be about $500 for the part and around the same for labor. I told him I'd call another plumber and deal with the mess in the morning. The competition charged me $189 to do nothing. Ray's charged me a total of $200 for parts and labor. I will never attempt plumbing DIY again and I will never use another plumbing service!
