I'm STILL having the problem with the valve not staying down after flushing. Meanwhile the water is just running in the tank and I have to physically push it down after taking top off tank (every time)!!!!. The last gentleman told me my toilet is to old(2012) that's why it's not flushing properly.... I flushed the toilet to show him after he was Lollygagging on my property for an hour that it's not working he decided to gaslight( oh that's how you flush) me and left still with the same problem. Telling me I need to buy a new toilet and the reimburse me with the money I already paid. I should have been on top of the first technician since he left "whispering" it's all done while I played video games. I feel like my money was wasted. If my video would post I would definitely post

No thanks Mike Williams: I hate when the receptionist is automatically booking my appointment when I haven't even agreed to anything. $59 charge just to get the plumber out there and they won't even give you an estimate so you're either out $59 or you're forced to use them and they can set the price to whatever they want. Very sneaky Easterday: 1 set price that was $150. Not bad, but I can do better... Ray's Plumbing: 1 flat price lower than Easterday. The guy said you get my plumber, his equipment for 1 hour, no other hidden costs. Plumber gave me a 30 min warning phone call. Arrived on time with another plumber on hand. Brought in a small machine and started away. Only took them 15-20 mins total and it was done. Very professional and courtious. 90 day guarantee gives me ease of mind as well. You have earned my future business.

In short, they ended up going downstairs and re-routed the sump to my sludge pit and the line became disconnected and discharged water all over my basement flooring. Jake authorized me to contact my insurance company to bring ServPro out and stated their insurance would cover it working through my insurance. I got the mess cleaned up and when I had my insurance company reach out to theirs, apparently Jake Ray & Sons had let their insurance coverage lapse. After Danielle Ray stated that they would reimburse me for the bill at approx. $500 per month until it was paid off, they refuse to make payment. Of course, I paid them for the work they did in a timely manner, but apparently they don't have the same integrity and are ignoring their commitment. So, now it's August 1st and I have to go to Sangamon County Small Claims Court to recover the amount both Jake and Danielle said they would cover. I would never, ever, recommend their services to anyone. Keep in mind, they may still be uninsured and their most recent post prior to mine was well over a year ago.

We live in an old house so anytime we have a plumbing issue we worry about repair costs but this was not the case the day we called Steve Ray Plumbing. Two service guys came out and were professional and helpful. They took a look around and determined all we had was a grease clog in the kitchen sink. They got to work and within 10 minutes of snaking out the drain with the water flush, it finally did the trick and we had a free flowing drain. It's been about 3 months since the call and we have had no issue with our drain. Cost was around $300. Totally worth the price for service received. I would highly recommend using Steve Ray Plumbing.
