After he first mentioned installing it, I never really had reason to give it another thought or even talk to him about it...Until that big lightning storm blew through our neighborhood a few weeks ago, and my HVAC system took a big hit and totally fried the A/C (and it's been 108 degrees and holding here in Dallas). I've also had numerous surges throwing my breaker over the years, so much so that I have just had to get in the practice of turning off all computers, monitors and electronics overnight, to prevent losing/corrupting data - not really knowing these surges were coming from the power company lines! I finally walked over and asked my neighbor about it and he told me he used to live this way, until he discovered these Lightning Arrestors. But it took him replacing 3 water well pumps at his previous residence (he was at the "end of the line" on the electrical circuit - apparently very bad place to be) before he got smart. But now, he says, not a single problem! I ended up buying a Total Residential package from Delta Surge Protectors (who is the only company I found who ships directly from the manufacturer and isn't a third-party website) that included a lightning arrestor, surge capacitor and data line protector, and installed them myself, all at the breaker box. Their instructions on the website are easily understood by the layperson (a girl like me) and even included step-by-step pictures. When I first contacted them, I of course had a lot of questions and discovered their excellent customer service! Their response to my email was fast, personalized and really top notch. Once I had my concerns about protection addressed, they assured me that the package would give me the best rates of protection from lightning damage AND power surges. I looked around at other websites for the same product, but none could offer this much protection for so little money. For around $40-$50 a unit and a little more than $100 for the package, it's extremely affordable. Next to the $4,000 I spent on my HVAC and repairs on equipment over the years, my only regret is not having heard about this site before now!

If you want a honest master electrician that never looks for the up-sell and truly is concerned about being honest and simply charging his labor, this is the best electrician in Dallas/Fort Worth hands down. As a very busy working mom I rarely take the time to write reviews.... So this is a very SPECIAL…read moreone. Today was a special day. My 5 year old daughter just started kindergarten at a new school. She noticed all week that all of the kids walk to and from school with their moms. This is something my child has never experienced because I work In surgery and she is usually dropped off by a nanny or picked up late from aftercare. Today was my first day off in 14 days. I was so excited to walk to her to school to meet her. There was not a cloud in the sky. 1 mile of a peaceful walk. I arrived at the school to a large black cloud in the sky. ( apparently it was moving fast). I prayed it would blow over. As soon as my daughter walked out of the school the rain started to pour. Luckily I brought a stroller because I wasn't sure if she could handle a 1 mile walk home after school. I asked my daughter if she wanted to uber home or continue our walk. She insisted we walk in the rain because it might be a year before we have this opportunity again. We laughed and giggled through the flooded streets and sidewalks of Highland Park. We were approached by the Freddie America work vehicle. He ran to us with a rain coat that I immediately used to cover my daughter. I waved and thanked him. He immediately ran to the car and came back with a second rain coat. I felt so blessed. It was raining so hard that I could barely make out the company name on the side of the vehicle, but knew that I had to get this information so I could share my story and how thankful I am. This man truly made our day. From the outside in we might have looked like any other mom and child walking home and struggling in the rain, but to us it was a special moment that we will cherish forever.... Our first time to ever get to walk home from school. Thank you Freddie America for the rain coats which allowed me to make my daughters dream come true. She finally had the chance to be like the other kids and to spend time with her mom outside of the hospital. If I ever need your service I will certainly call on this company. You went above and beyond!

Oncor came out to our house and got the problem fixed by 8:30pm. The problem was caused by loose/corroded connection in the under-ground electrical box.
