I had a great experience test driving a minivan with Ron the other day. He was communicative and low-pressure, giving us space to check out the car and drive it around. He even came in on his day off to help us out. Rich's was kind enough to drop off the car for a pre-purchase inspection, which revealed repairs beyond what we are willing to spend (note: this is still a used car dealership, and these guys can't know every single thing about the vehicles they sell. You still have to do your homework.) Overall, I was really impressed with the level of service and transparency we encountered. This incident occured a year ago but my life is very busy i just remembered i should probably write about this. bought a low mileage 2020 ford fusion for a reasonable price. Everything looked good and they said it was inspected (including transmission) and they said it had NO COLLISION OR DAMAGE HISTORY, and it had a clean carfax. I said I was going to get an inspection done and they insisted it "wasn't necessary, but do whatever you want". In the first week, I realized the tires were extremely worn only on the inside of the tires, which i had not been advised of by Ron or any of the staff. I foolishly purchased two tires to replace the worn tires BEFORE inspecting the car. I inspected the car within the next week, and it had severe internal frame damage due to what could only have been a major-impact collision. The car inspector told me that the reason the tires were badly and unevenly worn was definitely due to severe frame damage and misalignment, and that Ron should be financially liable for my tires that I had bought for the car, because of that. ALSO, the inspector found what they described as severe transmission damage; there were literal metal chunks in the black transmission fluid. keep in mind, Ron had told me that the entire car had been pre-inspected and had no damage history. I came back to Rich's Car corner and said i needed to be reimbursed for my tires that I had purchased for the car because the tire damage was due to frame misalignment that I was uninformed of. Ron refused to Reimburse the tires. I also planned on getting a full refund and return of the vehicle. Likely due to the threat of lemon-law legal repercussions, Ron reluctantly agreed to refund the car. This dude literally was trying to downplay the whole ordeal as no biggie, he wasn't even apologetic. He said I would have to leave the car there if I wanted a refund, and shoo'd me out the door assuring my refund; I refused to leave their property until the refund was fully paid out. They threatened to call the police on me and so I had to leave their property without a single car to my name, via uber. The refund came through In a couple days. I said I needed a loaner to find a new car, they said that wasn't their problem. Luckily my insurance provided me with a rental car for two weeks to assist me with finding a new car to buy. Bought a car from them and have had multiple issues with it including a spare tire that was flat and not checked by them and left with no air in it. Got stranded and ended up with $600 tow bill. Now timing chain is making noise just a few months later, mechanic is saying this should have been making noise when we bought car. We had a good experience with Ron in buying a used car here. No pressure and very helpful. They had a large number of cars in our price range (~$10K) to replace one recently totaled in an accident. While driving the car around we noticed that the backup camera wasn't working and they agreed to replace it. Ordering the part took about a week but installation was done in a day. Knowing that the Car Corner sells cars "as-is" and this had 115K miles on it after only 4 years, we brought the car to a mechanic for a checkup. We had to repair the front brakes, get a new battery, and connect some wires that were loose for the back lights. I would have preferred not having to make these extra repairs but felt like we were rolling the dice in getting a used car. We are happy with our purchase and would recommend Ron and the Car Corner to others! read more

I will preface this review. They are clear that they sell cars "as is" and they give you paperwork that says that. They will also take advantage of people if they don't know cars, especially the elderly. My in-laws purchased a van there 3 months ago (Jan/Feb '24), I wasn't with them I don't remember the exact day, but it seemed in pretty good condition. Within a couple of weeks the check engine light came on. They took it in to have a look and the report was starting with the transmission fluid was black. That is not good. The van continued to degrade over the next few weeks as they saved money to try and fix it. They were going to try a fluid flush. With the condition worsening I convinced them to bring it down to my place and I took it to my mechanic. Someone I trust. I will keep the list shorter but it started with the transmission was all but gone, the rack and pinnion was leaking, there was a coolant leak, the back brakes were at 3mm, the back tires were showing wire and both boots on the front were torn and needed replacing. My mechanics estimation was that there had never been a drop of maintence done to the vechicle, to the point that even the washer fluid was dry. The starting point in the conversation was $10,000 to get it fixed but that was just going to be the start with no idea where it would end. Part of this has to go on my in-laws, they should have at least of noticed the tires. They took advantage of an elderly couple that just wanted a van because they could not get in and out of their car anymore. We reached out to them, to see if they would do the right thing and the best they could come up with was, 'We'll give you $500 towards another car." Rich's Car Corner violated state law and sold a van that was not safe to leave their lot and they did it at a premium. read more

I'm generally a very patient person, but I'm done. Don't buy a car from here unless it's checked by another mechanic, if it had problems they are not honest about what's wrong with it. I thought I'd be smart and get a warranty in case something goes wrong. But little did I know how often I'd be taking my car there and back home just to go back and get loaner car after loaner car after they say something is fixed. You will be lucky to get a loaner car without a check engine light, I've been lucky once in 6 months which is currently but there is not even a radio in it. I've been given a loaner car with mold, I've been given a loaner car with very bad suspension. And check engine usually is on in these cars. If something happens while your driving a loaner car they will Not tell you anything is wrong with the car, they will just let you go and wait for a accident to happen. When I first got my car it was working great, until about 24 hours later the check engine light came on, it would stop on the middle of the freeway, in the middle of intersections, in parking lots just anywhere. I was told it was my oxygen sensor and it's fine to drive. It didn't feel right, they kept saying bring it here we will take care of it. Soon after, one of my breaks went out on me, and my emergency break didn't work. They said bring it back again. I don't have time to keep coming and going from there. My head gasket was next. It took me a while to get the money to get it fixed, and there it was your car is fixed. My entire car was covered in mold, I had to throw my brand new seats covered away. I asked them to clean the remaining because of my previous discussion of my allergies to toxic mold, so they cleaned half of it there was still a remainder on the trunk area, middle of back seat and on my floor mats. Next day, car stops on freeway, can't go over 40 mph still. Asked them to fix what I had already paid for, and to please clean the remainder of the mold because of my allergy. Another 2 weeks go by, the car is fixed again my emergency break actually works now, but there's still mold and one new patch growing, I went inside and kindly asked them if they could remove what looks like mold from my car I asked now 2 more times sense they originally said it was fixed. Because I did not bring my car in with mold, and I'm allergic Only for one of the workers to say I'm not a detailer, these are your floor mats you clean it. He started wiping the spots with his hand, and said that's dirt, take your car somewhere else I'm not cleaning this. Worst customer service ever today. It's just I've already been dealing with a lot from buyer beware, with my oxygen sensor, and head gasket going out, and my break going out and my emergency break not working. Started from day one--on the way home. I had a good experience with the sales person, but was sold a lemon. Found a used car I liked online. Test drove it with a friend who knows cars through town and on the freeway. A dummy light was on, mentioned this and asked about it being fixed or the price being reduced; it was for a rear light being damaged. Said the price was firm. All things considered, purchased the car. A third party assisted with the payment, and I was harassed over the phone by a sales man about being honest and not trying to pull one over on them because I was being helped with the purchase. A week after the purchase, the car's transmission started flaring and the coolant was emptying out of the car like crazy at the tune of a jug every couple of days. Took it to my mechanic who found all of the oil cooling hoses were destroyed, which cost me $400 to replace. In process of a software update at the dealership before having to go get the servo cover and pistons replaced. The warranty I purchased covers none of this. read more

I bought a 2005 Saturn Vue. It was a one owner car and was in good shape. Before I bought it, I drove it over to my mechanic at Earl's garage and had it checked out. I hear a lot of complaints on here about their used car that was bought as is having issues. Folks you are buying a used car, from a used car lot. Pay the $50 and have a mechanic look at it before you buy it. I traded in my 2006 Cadillac Sts with a ton of mechanical and electronic issues. It looked good from afar but was far from good. Bought an 04 Volvo from Richs for 3100. Two hours exactly on the dot after driving off the lot my entire speedometer (dim) cluster stopped working in the middle of my driving. When I called the next day to have ask them to test it they said they couldn't, so I took it elsewhere to have the codes ran the next day and the pictures show that not only are the most integral modules of the electrical systems are fried, a $2400 fix for the DIM, and CEM modules. When I asked the salesman to take the car back he said the owner Rich said there's "nothing he's willing to do" but according to RCW 62A.2-314, although the car was bought as is, it is still covered under the law of implied warranty because of the not only major defects but the fact my speedometer cluster randomly stops working and now Rich won't speak to me and refuses to do anything about his sale. Avoid this place like the plague or please have your car inspected before buying because they have no problem as other reviewers have mentioned selling you a car that's already totaled in repair cost off the lot. read more

The only reason I am not giving Rich's a 5 star rating is because of the shape my car was in when I went to get it checked at the mechanic. It cost $1200 in repairs and general maintenance after the purchase, and the car had a busted steering wheel, neither of which were Rich's fault. I can tell from what was wrong with the car that the previous owner didn't give a shit about car maintenance. With a little $1200 TLC from my mechanic and now it's a solid car. After I totaled my 2007 Camry LE Rich's had a replacement for $7000 which was a 2008 model of the same car. I bought the car and talked them down $200 because of the condition, which they accepted. The new car runs well and passed the inspection with some notable things that needed to be fixed. The whole process was relatively painless, but what really sets Rich's apart is that they overcharged me for the licensing so they wrote me a check to make up the difference. How many people are that honest at a used car dealership? Be careful when you buy any used car that you get it inspected by a mechanic first. I can almost guarantee you that you will have to spend money to get your new used car in top working condition. Having said all that, yes I would use Rich's car corner again if I need another used car. Just be sure you know what you are getting into and negotiate on price. I probably could have got more off the price if I had known everything that was wrong with the car. Don't be afraid to deal! (I think they are fair). read more

I would not under any circumstances purchase a vehicle from this dealership unless you enjoy spending half of your vehicle's worth on repairs shortly afterwards. Let me expand: I was very much in the market for a used Audi/BMW and knew what I wanted. I found the perfect car at this location and asked about it, and then agreed on a price. When I came in the next day to put down a reservation for them to keep it (non-refundable $500 deposit) while I secured the loan, I was told they could not honor the price we had agreed upon. Ok, I thought, sales guy got in a little over his head. Mind you their sales associate was unbelievably rude. I was told they thoroughly inspected the car and it just needed new brakes on the back end. Came in a day or so later and purchased the car. Within 72 hours of purchase I had to replace the water pump since the water pump had had the failing seal jammed back enough to get some idiot (me) to buy it. It was also around this time that I found that a family of mice had been living in the engine bay before it was sold and made the car smell like mouse urine whenever the AC was off risking Hanta virus if not addressed (sold during summer go figure). Then about 2 months go by, and now, (mind you this car was bought in mid-May and it is now August) my timing chain needs to be replaced and I have been quoted $3700~ for that fix. To top this off, I was looking to dispose of my vehicle I drove in with and they said no problem, but I could not get anything for it since the title was lost. No worries I tell the man. A couple of days later they call and let me know they have moved my old vehicle behind a restaurant. I checked on it a day later and it had been ransacked by the homeless and was NOW currently worthless. Just a day or so ago, I called in to voice my displeasure and ask if there was anything they could do for me. While speaking with "a manager". I was told that all sales are 'as-is' and that there was nothing they could do, not even to diagnose the car, or give me a discount on repairs at their shop. True customer service. I then told this manager that I would be voicing my displeasure via reviews when he proceeded to start yelling and I think I heard a curse word as I hung up. A few weeks ago I went to Rich's to purchase a car because the first one I bought there was having too many issues to keep fixing it. I test drove a few cars that were ok but I found a Camry in good condition. The only thing wrong was it seemed the serpentine belt was making noise. So I asked about it. The mechanic could not give a straight answer. I figured maybe a simple fix so bought it anyway. Did not finance, just paid for the car. Took it to my mechanic, found out it's the timing belt, which he could tell just by listening to it. So I feel like Rich's wasn't honest about it. $945 later. Then my mechanic tells me, you should really get new tires,which I figured I'd need to do but he said these are DANGEROUS to drive on. You're going to have a blow out! When I got new tires, the alignment was so off it was rubbing the front tires on 2 different sides. $622 later. Then I got an oil change since according to the sticker it was 2,000 miles past the sticker due for one. Sludge in the tank, had a special cleaner run through it. $92. Bringing my total to $1,659 I had to put into this car to make it run correctly and be safe to drive. Needless to say, now that all my savings are wiped out, I'm NEVER buying a car there or recommending Rich's ever again. If the car needed that much work, then I feel I overpayed $5250 with a credit for taking my old car. read more

I went in today with the intent of purchasing a car. I mentioned to the associate three advertised vehicles by make and mileage (so it should have been apparent that I had done my homework before coming). I have always purchased my own used cars, alone (and being a woman) and have never had any problem with the negotiating process. I was told that the price listed was 'no haggle.' I inquired about discussing a ballpark for my trade-in and was told that I would have to commit to purchasing a car, at the no haggle price naturally, before we could talk about the value of my trade in. Okey dokey dude. I guess they forgot that the advertised price was $1000 under the sticker price ...so I guess they do have some wiggle room. I was told *that* one was a weekend special. (Psst, the one listed 10 days previous was also $500 lower in the ad vs on the vehicle...so I guess they do know the ways of the haggle). Believe it or not, there were actually more issues with the sales associate I interacted with but you get the gist... I called back to request to work with another associate but the car I was primarily interested in had already sold. Dealt with Jim a couple times and he's a good dude, but you have to really research the cars you're interested in. Some havent been serviced in years, however, they provide you free carfax on most cars so look them over. After test driving a few cars, tried to negotiate on a Mazda. Ad said it had power door locks, but when I tested it, they werent working. Also, tire treads were really cracked and rubbed, but they refused to come off the price anymore. Didnt get a deal done here but it wasnt a terrible experience. read more

Our salesperson was congenial, but really didn't have much of a sense of humor. We were fortunate in having a great car as a trade-in, but I think their customer service skills leave something to be desired.
