Louie from Richmond Lock and Key fixed a lock that was previously fixed by Ash at Advance Lock and Key which started to stick after a month of use. Louie found the sticking lock to be used and rusted on the inside ( see photos below). Louie replaced the rusted lock with a brand new just opened out of the plastic lock.He showed me the difference between the new lock he put in and what Advance put in. He did a wonderful job and even checked my other locks to make sure they were in good condition. My new lock from Richmond Lock and Key works very smoothly without any issues! My husband and I went out to run errands on a hotter then hell day and when we got home and tried to open the back door to go in the bottom lock just broke completely and neither of us had the key for the front door! So I quickly hopped on yelp and looked at who was close and found Richmond lock & key. When I called they said could 30-45mins or sooner. And we prepared ourselves for a long wait in the heat under the shade of our porch. Louie came in like 10-15mins, had the door open in like 5 secs, and changed out the lock completely so fast! Fantastic work! After buying a house we had problems with storm doors that started from the previous owners. The thumblock was getting jammed and hitting the front door. I needed a smart key made for my Prius. Other locksmiths on the island said they could not make it and I would have to go to the dealer and they wanted over $500 to get a duplicate made. Thankfully one of the locksmiths I called actually recommended I give Richmond Lock and Key a call. They had to special order they key from Toyota, but once it came in they had the key programmed and ready to go in 15 minutes.
