The BEST waffle that I have ever had…read more I really admire the owner's drive to excel. It is beyond obvious the amount of time he has spent (and spends) cooking to make his already delicious food even more so using only traditional ingredients from Belgium. I also greatly appreciate all of the attention to detail; especially the quality of the fruit even when it's not in season. Thank you. Furthermore, I love that it's a house. It's quaint and brilliant to start small when starting a new venture. All of the staff was kind and gracious. Thank you again. On a separate note...I am utterly disgusted by the amount of negativity and ugliness in some of these reviews. Yes, we are are all entitled to our opinions. However, when you walk through someone else's front door you are entering the heart and soul of them. It is just sad that some have nothing else to do with their time than to just be negative. I, for one cannot fathom how brave and challenging it is to own a restaurant. I wish that some of the gloomy pessimistic unfavorable weak internet bullies would give it a try. Until then stay in your lane! Cheers for these waffles, kindness & grace.

On the way to BUF airport on my way out of upstate NY, my friend suggested the Toast Factory…read more Haven't had french toast in a hot minute. The Toast Factory seemed popular enough and looked like we would be waiting for a while for a table. Turns out, it was one of those hybrid restaurants, where you order up like in a McDonald's with their menus overhead and you pay the cashier while waiting for your order at a table or booth. The seating areas are cozy and casual and probably hold up to 30 people at a time. My friend and I spent about an hour or so from start to finish. I ordered a French toast combo breakfast with sausage and a side of their grits. I initially wanted French fries but they told me that they were out of French fries at 9:30am on a Sunday morning in October 2026. Turns out that the grits were pretty amazing and the french toast was a little soggy from the sauce topping that they put on it. Still delicious though, since many people like soggy French toast with flavored toppings. My friend had something with fried chicken, which I took photos of too. It was definitely a nice reward for running an overnight marathon earlier in the morning in Greece, NY. The prices here are competitive and comparable to other breakfast places in the area. While the restaurant itself was small and cozy, it was nice to be here and enjoy the fact that I ran an overnight marathon either Saturday and into Sunday, slept 6 hours, and then, drive here for brunch before heading to the airport. Certainly gave me a nice smile on my face while dealing with tired and sore legs. The overall experience here at the Toast Factory here in Rochester, New York was very good and I could see why they are popular. I really enjoyed their grits, which was not surprising since I eat oatmeal for breakfast when I'm not traveling. But as fate turned out, I swapped the French fries for the grits and it was amazing. It was part healthy and part unhealthy, but still a good way to jumpstart that Sunday in October 2026 on my way out of Rochester, NY and headed to Buffalo. The menu was limited but you got a lot of stuff here to try and combine tastes, if necessary. My friend enjoyed the fried chicken platter but I rather have my fried chicken elsewhere. Still they are known for their French toast, which arguably is pretty good. Maybe it is better when it's soft and sweet, and full of flavor town, not like traditional toast - dry and unfamiliar. I had the blueberry flavored French toast and it was delicious and not bad at all. For the most part though, it was a good brunch spot for anyone and everyone to come here. It's quite a convenient stop since it's a place in town where it's centralized. On your way west to Buffalo or east to Syracuse and eventually to New York City. They offer classic meals and homegrown food for everyone. Definitely a hidden gem if you are passing through or in the mood for something tasty in Buffalo. Recommended if you're in the area or passing thru Buffalo, NY. The Toast Factory is located at 255 Westfall Road in Rochester, NY. They are 10 minutes from the ROC airport and possibly a good reason to dine here before your flight or Amtrak ride out of Rochester or after you arrive in town. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, they have a generous amount of parking here for anyone and everyone to come and enjoy. Best bet would be to come before the breakfast or lunch rush so you can get a nice spot in the restaurant. My friend and I were glad we found a spot after ordering. If you're a fan of public transportation, consider the routes you'd need to take in the greater Rochester area to get here either from the airport or the Amtrak station, or your original location. There's always uber and Lyft to help you with your travel plans too. And so, it was worth considering to come here. A hidden gem in the Rochester community. Come and check things out! They're be glad to see you. The service was friendly and fast. 4.5 stars for the overall experience Support local! B+

That alone should tell you everything you need to know! On our first visit, we ordered French toast, eggs, and sausage. He had the strawberry cream French toast, and I went with the original. Both were absolutely delicious! And let's talk about that juicy, flavorful BEEF sausage! One thing I really appreciated was that they offered turkey, beef, AND pork sausage options. I love a restaurant that gives people choices! Now, the SECOND DAY?! BABYYYY! We came back for the catfish nuggets and grits, and when I tell you those grits were so fluffy, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, I almost thought I had made them myself! They tasted like something straight out of my grandma's Southern kitchen! The catfish nuggets were generously portioned, moist, seasoned beautifully, and fried to PERFECTION. Not too greasy, not too dry, just RIGHT! Every single bite was worth it! And can we talk about the ATMOSPHERE?! The playlist was ON POINT! I'm sitting there singing along, enjoying my food, and just taking it all in. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful both days, which made the experience even better. Now, here's a little heads-up for anyone planning to visit: You stand in line to place your order when you walk in, and seating is first come, first served. We visited on a Saturday, and the place was PACKED! So yes, be prepared for a little wait, but trust me when I say it's WORTH EVERY SINGLE BITE! Good food like this is worth waiting for! And the icing on the cake? BLACK-OWNED! Coming from DC, aka Chocolate City, I absolutely LOVE seeing a Black-owned business thriving, especially one that delivers this level of quality, flavor, hospitality, and consistency! As someone who knows and appreciates GOOD Southern cooking, I felt like I had stepped right into my grandma's kitchen. That kind of food that makes you feel at home, feeds your soul, and has you thinking about your next plate before you've even finished the first one! DC HAS SPOKEN, AND WE APPROVE! My Southern man approves, too, and that says A LOT! Thank you all for such an amazing experience. You've officially gained two loyal customers from out of town! Every time I'm back in Rochester, this place will be on my MUST-VISIT list! 10/10! The food, the vibes, the hospitality, EVERYTHING! Y'all are LIKE THAT!

Let's begin with the coffee...it was smooth with a creamy texture. Excellent! The tea was very mild and soothing. I loved the glasses that held the tea and coffee. The Turkish toast had an egg over medium, mozzarella cheese, and Turkish sausage. The way it was served was neat and appealing. The taste was mild with just the right amount of flavor from the mozzarella and sausage combination. A little smoky and the toast was crunchy. I'd definitely recommend! We shared the breakfast plate that included olives, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, ham, honey, feta or cream cheese, sausage, and boiled egg. It was fabulous! It wasn't huge but it was perfect for two people. The veggies were fresh and had some spices and olive oil. The jam was sweet and flavorful. The Turkish sausage was more like a smoked sausage and it was wonderful with the cheese and tomatoes. Don't make the same mistake we did the first time by walking out. The meal was full of flavors, textures, and served beautifully.

So after making a cash payment i asked for a receipt. Unfortunately Michelle didn't know how to print one.My response was," well with the cost of our bill i am sure the owner will remember us. I will call him in the morning." "No they aren't opened tomorrow", was the response. I am still trying to figure out with 3 people-$10 max per person should have been $30 NOT $97???????? Based on our previous visit I was guessing roughly maybe $40 at best~but $97? I am hoping the owner reads this and forwards a phone call my way. I know there must be some mistake.

I am not sure what happened, but the menu we were given didn't have any of these cool, unique things on it. The place is pretty cool inside, with a lot of board games. There are video games too, but the Nintendo switch didn't seem to work. We ordered a cereal milkshake thing to start. It was okay. The blended cereal inside of it gave it an odd texture. My daughter asked for a Cinnabun, which is a Cinnamon Roll Waffle w/ Icing & Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It didn't have any Cinnamon Toast Crunch in or on it. I ordered a 2 Piece, which is a Cheese Stuffed Waffle Topped w/ 2 Pieces of Bacon & 2 Eggs. There was no cheese in it. I asked for poached eggs but they said they didn't know how to make them. I asked for over easy instead, but I don't think they knew how to make those either, because the yolks were hard and not runny. This place is a great and fun idea, but the food was executed poorly, and inaccurately. Even worse when it was 2 meals and a drink for one adult and one tiny child and it racked up to $40.
