I am heartbroken and extremely disappointed with the care my dog received at Crater Animal Clinic…read more I first brought her in because she had lost interest in food. She was prescribed antibiotics, but after a week there was still no improvement. The vet then suggested IV antibiotics, followed by an ultrasound, which showed a small lesion on her liver. The recommendation was a surgical biopsy. When I asked how my dog would recover from surgery when she still wasn't eating, the response I received was simply to "force feed her." Another test was suggested (a chest X-ray), and desperate to help my dog, I agreed. After hours of waiting with no communication, I had to call myself--only to be told by a vet tech that the X-rays showed no abnormalities and the note from the vet was, "continue with what you're doing." When I arrived to pick up my dog, the first thing I was met with was a request for payment--before I was even able to speak with the vet. It became clear to me at that moment that this office prioritizes dollars over the well-being of their patients. To make matters worse, my dog was brought out soiled and clearly uncared for while in their holding kennel. The following day, a home vet came to evaluate her and immediately identified jaundice--something this vet office never mentioned. Tragically, my sweet girl did not recover, and I had to say goodbye. I am sharing this experience because I would never want another pet parent to go through what we did. Our animals deserve compassionate, thorough, and attentive care--qualities I did not see reflected here.

Very nice and professional front desk staff. Pleasant attitudes always. Rebecca and Maryann are two of the ladies who took care of her this last time and they are really great people. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Crater Animal Clinic.

I'm really disappointed . I have been using them for years. My dog had his usual appointment but…read morethat morning he had diarrhea. I didn't want to 1. Expose the other dogs to whatever it might be, and 2. it could be messy .I called and told her what was going on and would it be possible to reschedule. She said, yes but next time if you don't give me 48 hours notice I will charge you. Ridiculous, how can I know my dog would be sick beforehand and that was rude and uncalled for. I've never went back.

I have a groomer that works here we love that we kept going back to, but the pricing and…read moreappointment time is crazy. Last appointment with my large dog, the appointment was for 9am, I asked if our dog would be done around 12pm. The reception lady rudely replied, this is a large dog. We have 4 large dogs in the back. Large dogs take time. Maybe the dog will be done around 3. I'm sorry? I made an appointment, it is not my fault or my dog's fault that you overbooked. Received a call shortly after asking about fleas, our dog is on meds from the vet so no fleas. They said they may need to charge more for fleas if they find one. The dog has no fleas. Got a call at 2 to pick the dog up. 5 hours later. When I make an appointment, I should not need to wait for their overbooking issues. 5 hours for the dog to be groomed? Nor be called about fleas the dog does not have and be threatened I'm to be charged more. $150 for a 65 pound dog to be groomed. Since then, I have been to 2 other groomers with the dog just to see the difference in timing and price and neither have been as terrible in timing or pricing. The other locations recognize appointment times and do not take 5 hours. In fact, picked my large dog up after 2 hours. Not 5 2 hours and $80 with tip, at the most with the others. Unfortunately we will not be back here. We do hate to leave the employee here we really liked.
