We have boarded our German Shepherd here, three times now and every time it has been a great experience. The staff has been super friendly. Our dog was nervous each time, but he has anxiety and is a shepherd lol. Never had an issue with them. And pretty reasonably priced! read more

Pros: staff was very nice, communicative, accommodating. Prices were reasonable. Daycare worked out great and I would recommend it. They make sure vaccines are up to date and have protocols in case a pet is sick/hurt which i appreciate. They also have a separate small dog area which is essential. Cons: the kennels were like a prison. Concrete and chain link fence/gate.Loud and echoes. Can't imagine how a dog would be comfortable there. I made sure my dog did not stay after group daycare hours so he wasn't put there. Overall I was happy with my daycare experience and would use them again for this service! read more

I left my dog here a few years ago over Thanksgiving weekend. When I returned to get her, she was all wet and sticky and smelled like she had been laying in urine... have never been back since. They seemed very indifferent in their customer service as well. read more

This place was great. Needed a place to board my little Westie for a couple days while seeing a couple OSF plays and didn't want to leave her in the RV in the heat. Their small pet area boarding seems terrific and the staff were very friendly, even though they were obviously understaffed in the aftermath of the pandemic. Word to new clients with small dogs going to the more group environment that they need to do an evaluation for compatibility/safety before you can board your little fur baby in that particular area. Small fee and time to drop off and all that. Given that we were over a barrel with our previous boarder having fallen through at the last minute, it was a real saving throw and recommendation from another pet boarder in the area who could not accommodate us. Also, did quick work of getting vax verification from the vet back home, which was nice, since I dropped the ball on that one when we set off. Keili seemed very relaxed and calm at her pick up, so obviously it was a good experience for her. Beware the pick up times, though, especially if you are not an early riser, as you will be charged for either a half or whole day if you roll in for a pick up after their stated times. Still worth it for the care taken. Also, it is really easy to miss the turn off for this establishment along the main road, as it is a gravel/dirt road that is somewhat obscured by trees and greenery on a pretty fast moving main road. Missed it twice on eval and drop off visits. read more

horrible horrible horrible! I cannot say this enough. I left my dog here for a week because I was going to Mexico, they do not answer their phones. they notice my dog having a problem for days prior to me picking her up and they did not tell me. The day I picked her up I went straight to the vet to get a $300 bill because my dog sustained an infection from their dirty facility. here is a picture of the infection before you ask no she's not on her period. She had been off for more than a month and yes they knew that. If you love your pet go elsewhere please. They know about this problem and still have not reached out, pathetic. read more

Not a friendly place! Employees don't seem to like working here! Have used their services many times yet it doesn't seem to be appreciated! Wouldn't leave my precious dog here again! read more

My dog now has half an ear and I have a $1300 vet bill. This injury was sustained while my dog was in his individual pen, he apparently had his ear bitten off through the chainlink dividing fence. When we asked Sue to help cover costs for the damages she stated it was our dog's fault that half of his ear got bitten off. She expressed she has no intention of helping with the costs and feels she and her staff have no responsibility for injuries to animals at their facility. read more

I was really concerned about having to board my cat. I shouldn't have been. My cat is not good with strangers but R and R cared for her like a queen. I was able to call anytime to ck on her (what a relief) and get reassurance. I now know I can travel from time to time and know that the only hands for her to be in are mine and R and R's!! Did I mention that it's super affordable, too? I will not leave Miss Betty anywhere else. How wonderful! The staff, the facilities, it was all GREAT!!!! read more

We love this place! We dropped our dog off here a few weekends ago so we could go explore Crater Lake. The facility is in great condition, the staff if super friendly and great with our dog. They have very adequate space for dogs to play and then be kenneled. An added bonus is being able to do a full day or half day of doggy day care. We will for sure be coming back here and dropping our dog off. read more

R&R Pet Resort is the best place in town! Our husky Kora gets so excited when we turn on the gravel road, she talks to us the whole entire time with her tail wagging. We mostly use the doggie daycare, but recently boarded her over night. She loves social (playtime) and when we pick her up she is smiling. Best part is when we get home she is exhausted which you know is difficult for a husky... lol. We love all the staff, very professional and friendly and they love your fur babies just as much as you do! We have had a trainer which helped with some behavioral issues. We now have a second husky Jax and he will be going to R&R as soon as he gets old enough and has his shots!! Thanks for loving our fur babies as much as we do!! Highly recommend tell them Kora and Jax sent you!! read more

Thanks to Alyssa in Tiny Town for her kindness today. My husband is in the hospital with complications from chemotherapy so we haven't been able to walk the dogs. Yesterday I ordered a leash walk for them and they went with a staff member they didn't know very well and they wanted to head right back to Tiny Town. Today Alyssa said she would walk them and the walk went much better. They adore her and I so appreciated her willingness to go the extra mile for our fur babies! read more

We had the opportunity to take advantage of R & R's services last year when we needed a place to keep our dog while we attended some plays at OSF. They offer doggie daycare, boarding, grooming, training and DIY bathing. The staff was very friendly. You walk into an open space reception area. It has walls of toys and treats for your pet(s). Behind the counter you can see the large indoor play/training area for the dogs. They have an outdoor play area as well. We dropped our dog off before the play, went back down to Ashland and they were kind and accomodating enough to let us come and pick her back up even though it was after their normal hours. The facilities are very nice, the services offered are great, the staff is friendly and professional and you can tell they enjoy what they do, and the prices are perfectly reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

What an amazing doggy day care center!!! We dropped our dog Lily off when visiting Ashland. The staff was very friendly & helpful from the very beginning and I think Lily (a four year old Weimeraner) had the time of her life. I've boarded LIly before elsewhere and I believe this is one of the best experiences (if not the best) to date. Reasonably priced too. read more

Had an appointment to get our Retriever shampooed and hair cut. Arrived and went to the grooming area. The person with purple hair greeted me and I told her our dogs name and that we had an appointment. She asks what I wanted and so I told her and she asked how I wanted it cut. I told her I would like a Golden retriever cut and she seemed confused and asks where would I like it cut? I asked her if she was a trained groomer and would like a normal retriever cut. She said we only cut where the customer wants us to cut. We went back and forth and I finally said that maybe I should go and ask my wife(who is not a trained groomer). The purple hair person said "yea good idea" So I left never too return. Went home and found several you tube video's on how to groom a retriever In case anyone from this place reads their reviews here is a link on how to groom a retriever...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc1KZcra4mE Perhaps this will help you but in the meantime I will spend my money with groomers that know how to groom! read more

We take our dog to R&R a few times per month, he also gets bathed and groomed here. To say it's the highlight of his day is an understatement, we have a special leash we use when he goes to doggy day care, as soon as that leash comes out the excitement begins. Once the turn is made from Hwy 99 to the gravel road it's hard to contain him. Everyone on the staff knows his name, he gets nothing but love and attention and comes home worn out and happy. The grooming is five star and Kendra does a fabulous job with his cut. I'm 100% comfortable leaving this member of our family with this business. read more

New to the area, I had boarded my maltipoo here for a few days on the recommendation of a family member. I saw that they also did grooming and decided to bring her in. Pam was our groomer and I am thrilled to pieces at the job that she did. R&R is a bit out of the way down a pretty dusty and bumpy road, but worth the drive. Their staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and Lily's groom was done on time. Very reasonable prices. Thank you for a great experience! read more

We spend time in Ashland Oregon every summer camping with our extended family and large Blue Heeler. Several parks and reservoirs do not allow dogs. R and R was just the answer for us. They provide fun, clean, cheerful, and reasonable doggy daycare, grooming, and boarding. All of the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. They loved our dog and he had a great time while we had people only excursions. We will definitely be back next summer!! read more

I had a reservation planned weeks in advanced to have my dog spend the night to celebrate my nine year wedding anniversary. I got my dog up to date on all of his vaccines and sent an email with his vaccines records over a week in advanced just to verify and was told he was good to go. Upon arriving, I was told that his vaccines were not current and that he had only had two vaccines. I knew this was not accurate and that his vaccines had been updated since and asked them to look at the email where they verified his vaccines where up to date. They conveniently lost the email but I still had it, so I resent it. Finally, I was told that based on his age, they did not recommend boarding him. But that I could "risk" it if I wanted to. Why was I not told this weeks ago when I sent the vaccine record?! They knew my dog's age. My experience was extremely unprofessional and I'm super disappointed. Now I have to cancel my anniversary plans. read more

We love this place!!!! Highly recommend this place from all of the kennels l've been to since 1989. With other fur babies l've had. We have been going to this place for about two years now. We decided to come to this place due to the fact that we just rescued a eight-year-old dog. She was timid when we got her and we knew that this place would take care of her and welcome her with all the little tiny fur babies. She now is relaxing around other fur babies when she sees them. Thanks a bunch! The staff is very welcoming and they sit outside with the fur babies while they exercise outside. It's nice to drive by the small dog building and see all the puppies out playing with their tails up the air. Running around on grounds with a high fencing area and security cameras outside. It's comforting to knowing that the fur babies are getting treated with love and tender care. Usually we are gone for a week at a time. It's nice to know that when you drop off your fur baby that you make a list of requirements of what time food and snacks are to be given and how much to feed them.when you bring them in. Besides they let you bring in any kind of bedding that you have. Bedding is alway washed the day you pick up. I read more

Pet grooming was sub-par. When I picked up my pooch, they missed one of his legs. It wasn't shaved and the nails weren't cut. My dog seemed traumatized by the experience. Never again. read more

We left our two dogs here in May for a few days. Got them back and our collie started coughing. Took her to the vet and she had kennel cough. Again took our two dogs here in October for an overnight stay and once again our collie develops a cough. Took her to vet and she has kennel cough - bad enough that it has now required two vet visits for totaling more than $300.00 on top of the overnight kennel visit that was just under $200.00 (because we picked them up in afternoon). I'd like to point out that we have taken our dogs to another local kennel at least twice during this time period and had absolutely no problems. My husband called the R&R on Friday and today received a phone call back from somebody stating they are the manager. Said person proceeds to give my husband a lecture about dogs health and that my dog obviously has other issues that we should be looking into. Even though just today at this 2nd vet visit, chest x-rays & lab work we're completed with results being normal. Again, this so called manager continues to "educate" us about how clean their facility is. No offer to reimburse us (even just for the kennel stay in which my dog got sick). Just lectures. We will NEVER take our dogs there again. And if you look at the google reviews, you'll see that our dog is not the only one to ever come out of there with kennel cough. Look them up. It might enlighten you. read more

They will tell you what you want to hear when you first arrive with pets. Different story when the pets are in the back. We left explicit directions for feeding along with his food, toys and bed. Our cat was completely traumatized when we picked him up 10 days later. He would not come out from the corner in his cage they had taken all of his stuff he was used to and replaced it with a small kitten bed. Cuts on his ears and three days to use his litter box. My advice is to find a sitter or a place that does what it says it will do. read more

We take our dog to R & R three days a week so we don't go crazy throwing the ball. He has been going for 3 or 4 months now and we are glad they are there. The girls are comfortable with him and come and get him while he jumps and barks all the way back to play day. read more

We leave our dogs here knowing they are exceptionally well cared for. Given cuddles and treats, and let into an exercise yard multiple times a day- included in the fee. My dog didn't seem scared when I got him back from a bath. The ladies running the grooming department were very nice. Only thing is that our dog was sooo thirsty when he came home. I left my dog at R&R Pet Resort for 3 days while I was in Ashland seeing plays. Since he's a small dog, they recommended the "pampered pet room". I wanted to check it out before I left him there, so I was given a tour. At first I was hesitant because there were over 20 dogs in the area, but it was obvious that there were 3-4 pet sitters with the dogs, and they seemed happy. So I opted for the pampered pet room. (Although the dogs play together during the day, they have private sleeping quarters.) I returned the next day to take Bailey out for a couple of hours. Since it was so hot in the area that week, I decided that it was better off at R&R Pet Resort where there were cooling fans. When the young woman picked up Bailey to return him to the pampered pet room, his tail was wagging "a mile a minute" - so I decided that he was happy there. When I came to get him 2 days later, he was happy and his bedding and toys were all returned to me. (Other places have misplaced stuff.) I was impressed with R&R Pet Resort and hope to use their service again. Note: My dog is very social and loves other dogs. If you have a very timid dog, he/she might not like the room with all the other dogs as much. read more

We boarded our two small dogs at R & R Pet Resort while we were vacationing in the Ashland, OR area. We were actually staying in Jacksonville, so the resort was halfway between Ashland (where we were dining and seeing plays) and where we were staying. This is a first-class, very large boarding facility - I was very impressed when we drove up the first time. Our dogs stayed in a very reasonably priced (at least compared to California prices) indoor/outdoor run. They were allowed to have their own toys, beds and crate, which other places don't do. They also fed my pups the roast chicken I had prepared for them (yes, they are spoiled). I liked the fact that we were "allowed" back into the facility and that we were able to visit them and even take them out with us for hours at a time. It made leaving them there that much easier! As did knowing that they were only 15 minutes away. I think for two dogs, five nights, extra play time, and "going home" baths, with clippings, we paid about $210. Works for me!!! Highly recommended! read more

Our dog was fine when we picked up from our week long trip but two things that stood out when my husband picked him up. 1. They asked what to charge us for, did he do doggie daycare? how often? This does not give me a lot of confidence that he actually did do doggie daycare not to mention the fact that when I dropped him off I asked that he alternate day with walks, one on one time, and play with other dogs. hmmm, not sure what happened there. 2. I dropped our dog off with a metal, handled, measuring scoop that we've had forever that is the perfect amount of food for him twice a day. He came back to us without said scoop. When I called to ask about it I was told they did not have it but keep their eyes out for it. Again, this does not give me a lot confidence that he was being fed as I asked. They did bath him which was nice, I imagine if they didn't he would smell as bad as the kennel does. Wishing there were more options for large dogs, hopefully I don't have to do that again. read more
