It's about time I wrote a review for First Class Pet Care.  I have been using their services for many years.  I travel to Central California from Ashland almost monthly to care for a family member.  The ONLY reason I can do this without stress is because of the excellent and loving care my kids (poodle & kitty) receive from both Sheila and Colleen!  Colleen stays overnight and I know all is well when, upon arriving home, my high-strung Harriett is calm and happy.  I also know that in an urgent or emergent situation, they both have the compassion and skill to handle whatever it is.  I often receive update texts or a photo which really makes me relax and let go of any worries.  So grateful for First Class Pet Care! read more

We were relatively new to the Ashland Oregon area and needed a pet sitter for a month while we were out of the country. I researched the internet and was impressed by First Class Pet Care's website. Colleen Malloy, the owner, came for a consultation and our unfriendly cats took to her right away. She is certified in animal care and first aid. A warm and caring person, I was confident Colleen would take good care of our "girls". The old cat had some litter box issues for the first time (probably due to our being gone), but Colleen took care of the problem like the pro she is. We have subsequently used her several times and she does a great job of taking care of the furry girls and things around the house (garbage to the curb, collecting mail, watering plants). The piece of mind Colleen brings to our lives when we travel is incredible. The last time we used her for a week, and I didn't check in once! That is no small feat for me. Before our three-day stay in Ashland, we asked the concierge at the Ashland Springs Hotel for a pet sitter recommendation. What great good luck -- we met Sheila, and our skittish rescue pup found a new friend! Sheila's gentle presence and ease let our dog find her way to trust. Usually, our dog seems hesitant with people she doesn't know well. By the time our third night's visit rolled around, our dog was excited and happy to see Sheila. We blindly chose First Class Pet Care based on what the hotel, where we would stay, recommended. $15/HR, minimum three hours. Not happy about that! Well Julie V. was assigned to us. I feared we'd be paired up with a teenager or young 20-something. Nope! She could have been my mom but dog experienced and listened. She was caring and genuinely involved. After a quick introduction, we were off to the Play. After the hotel door closed, I heard her being happy and talking to our grrls. Three hours later they were happy to see me and then eager to sleep! They kissed (rare) her when she hugged them. I'm blissfully happy! She and I will be keeping in touch! She's worth the fat tip!!! Colleen took very good care of my 13 year old chihuahua while I was away for a week. She came by three times a day, fed, walked, and played with him. She even sends photos everyday for the particularly over-protective pet owners like myself. Colleen is a wonderful alternative to boarding your pet. He/she can stay in a familiar environment with familiar smells and all of their toys instead of being subjected to the unfamiliar and loud cages at pet "hotels/resorts." My husband and I (and particularly our dog) love Colleen. Our dog has some behavioural issues, and Colleen has always understood his personality and has never had any problems with him. I truly never worry about our pet when Colleen is caring for him. She is thorough, professional and reliable, and a great lover of animals. Sheila showed up on time to our hotel, and watched and walked our dog while we were out.
