Unfortunately people of central Texas I would stay as far as possible away from this company. The…read moreowner Antoine and his crew have no idea what they are doing with HVAC or how to conduct business. My grandmother (70+) years of age trusted them to install a new unit for her manufactured home. The crew installed the incorrect system that was made for a much smaller home and not able to perform at her homes square footage. As this awful heat came In and she quickly realized the issue Antoine gave her the run around. He told her it's her insulation or he was in the hospital or his crew wasn't ready. Once he finally realized she wasn't going to give up he said he ordered a new unit for her to install free of cost due to the mistake. That was two weeks ago and is forwarding all calls. For the rest of our community I will be going to the better business bureau to make a formal complaint so they can be correctly audited to ensure they are a credible business. For the purpose of this review is to help prevent this happening to any other folks in our area.

A gentleman called around 5:10 pm, who told me that they are closed and are closed on Sundays. He stated that the next available apt. he had would be Tuesday. I would not use this company due to their lack of empathy, commitment to their job (after hours or not), and the take it or leave it attitude.

Eben though it took 3 weeks to fix) heater unit starter burn out (during winter, of course) and a week ago our A/C decided it was it's turn (naturally during our 90+ introduction to summer). Again, THANK GOD for Homeowners Warranty Ins. They contracted Troy Heating. They responded so fast and believe me...THEY WERE BOOKED SOLID, but they were here, found out on our here when we bought the home A/C, found the TX unit? Got stuck. So again, as naturally happens, the part had to be ordered. Understand, our unit is probably...20yrs old? I'm guessing. Our home was built in the 30' or 40's. So, we endured by turning on what ceiling fans and portable fans we have for the 4 days waiting for the part to be delivered. Steven the first Tek that came was so compassionate to our plight, see our daughter who is blind, on dialysis and had just gotten out of hosp. made sure he let us know that as soon as the part was received they would be here. Ya know what? Troy Heating & Air DID JUST THAT. Ron the owner took time ON SATURDAY and came here WITH THE PART HOT OFF UPS delivery and spent maybe 1 1/2 to 2hrs. installing the part, recharging the R22 (that was seriously low) then rechecked everything making SURE it was ALL GOOD. I can't believe how "spoiled" we've become...I grew up in Muskegon,MI...picked blueberries, A/C? I never knew what that was, my husband grew up in Lubbock! Anyway, firstly, Thank you Steven, I appreciate your coming out and your honoring your word. Thank you Ron, you answered my questions, your integritu, your honesty, your commitment to getting our A/C repaired during a hot yucky day (inside & out). I know you were delayed meeting your family too. THANK YOU is only two common words...but know this, Joe, Julia, Janelle (daughter), Ari-El (dog), Figaro & Raider (our indoor cats) say it sincerely...THANK YOU.

I understand repairs cost money - but how much?? And don't jack up the price, then charge for coming out again. I first talked to a lady who didn't understand why they charged me TWICE without fixing squat. She said someone would call me back. The man who called me and talked to me like I was his ex-wife who may have had a side piece and got the house in the divorce, asked me if I would take this review off if the company fixed it. I said I only put down what actually happened. I didn't embellish, exaggerate, lie, bad-mouth. I stated facts. They charged me twice. He kept gaslighting me, saying no, that is not what happened. I just didn't understand this type of home repair. The company charges $90 for the estimate. I said I had already paid. He said, no, it's different. I just didn't understand. I felt like we were dating. And he still didn't tell me how much it would be. He would not commit to coming out until I agreed to take this review down. We hung up. Another lady called back about 2 hours later and said that DAZ would be happy to come out and complete the work. I still didn't get a quote. Wow! Can't even escalate well. NO THANKS! Charged 2 times and got 2 completely different estimates by 2 different people for the exact same job. The issue: hot water runs from the kitchen faucet when the water heater is on. So I mostly leave it off. I've had a lot of work done on my house. It's 100 years old and I've replaced or repaired just about everything in it. So, I know if you want the work, you have to pay a price. The first person who came out quoted me $300. I just needed to buy my own faucet because they don't sell the one I need. This trip and estimate = $89.95 GOT THE FAUCET. The second person, as soon as he gets here asks, "What did they quote you?" I told him. He said, "No. It's $389.00. But I might be able to do it for $300 if it's just the faucet." Turns out, he says he'll have to get into the wall, it might be $400, $500, $600. He won't know til he gets in there. Whoa! So...double what I was quoted? MAYBE? I told him I couldn't afford that now, thanked him. Asked him what i owed him for coming out. This trip and estimate: $89.00 He left without giving me a receipt or written estimate for what he just quoted me. Everyone was perfectly nice. But it left me asking: What was the first estimate for?
